I preferred Peace Walker's Co-Op, though I had fun in the versus MP as well when disguising myself as a cardboard box, where the stealth became apparent over shooting. Essentially, I'll be participating, most likely.

There are some concerns with the game's narrative being slow (kinda like a TV show IMO) and non-lethal weapons taking a while to unlock (could be because the journalist simply rushed through the game):

Still torn between the PS4 and PC version, I prefer to game on PC but that extended wait for MGO makes the PS4 version look more inviting, also there has been more than one occasion where the PC gets an inferior console port when it comes to AAA games.

 

The online FOB portion will be available from launch though wont it? Metal Gear Online merely an online battle arena totally separate from the main campaign?

Ground Zeroes was an excellent port so consider taking that into account when deciding on which platform. One can say many things about Kojima, but he usually always delivers quality looking hardware, especially if one takes the HD collection into account. Perfectly translated the old games into an HD resoluted format.

Yes, though I kinda wish it would have been something akin to Peace Walker, co-op for the side ops (including boss battles with AI weapons) and then have some versus modes and stuff on the side.
It'll function pretty much the same as the last iteration of Metal Gear Online that was released with Guns of the Patriots.
