I wonder what happened....
...although to be honest I thought 4 was the last MGS really, the fact that we're getting V is a nice bonus. I never, ever imagined it would go to 6 or something like that... plus I'm sure V is still coming.

I get the feeling that Konami is going to remove the Kojima Productions staff from the credits. That would be extremely s****.
Wouldn't put it past them at this point. This is already disrespectful like a motherf*cker.

This can't be happening now? Zone of The Enders 3?

The dream is dead bro.
I won't, i can't accept this.The dream is dead bro.

It wasn't going to happen for a long time if at all. The HD Collection was to gauge interest for a Zone of the Enders 3 and it sold horribly.

I've heard different rumors, in reality I think it had to do with Konami wanting him to make more Metal Gear Solid and him wanting to do something else. MGS is really Konami's last money maker. I think he's been wanting to do something different for years. I kind of wonder if Konami isn't going to sell off their IPs, get out of the video game industry and call it a day. They should, they're sitting on way too many IPs and don't have the talent to do anything with them.

If you go to the Konami store, Kojima's name has been removed from the covers of the Metal Gear games there
Disrespect is real. And they still fed the media with that "Kojima and Konami will continue to support MGS V" BS.
Kojima has stated on his twitter that starting April 1st, he will no longer be on Konami's Executive Board.
This has departure/falling out written all over it.

I'd never imagined a hot dog would be so plugged into the video game socio-political-business sphere.
One does not simply LEAVE Konami, perhaps this is the Dark Lords of the Sith's retaliation for Kojima's effort of finally escaping the horrible fate of making more Metal Gear games.

Peace Walker came out a while ago, where have you been?
To emphasize on what I said -- One does not leave Konami of their own volition, but Konami will definitely dismiss you just like that ala Team Silent post-Silent Hill 4 if things aren't going in exact accordance to their wishes.
It's a shame that Silent Hills might not come into fruition but then again, I don't think I really want a Silent Hill game made by Kojima -- The P.T. Teaser was a promising demo but it still didn't feel like Silent Hill and Kojima's pretentious tendency to witter on with exposition isn't what I feel Silent Hill needed. Although, he does have quite a few Team Silent employees on his KojiPro-team.
I suppose it couldn't possibly be as bad as the Silent Hill games that came out post-SH4.
I don't really mind it that Kojima left. It was clear during MG4 that he wasn't interested in making Metal Gear games anymore, so its good that he can now focus on other projects.
Or whatever it is he's planning to do in the future.
Konami has just made an announcement that they plan to make more Metal Gear after Metal Gear Solid V.
I take this to mean that that is what the disagreement between Konami and Kojima was about. If this all turns out to be true, then the management at Konami has no business managing. They should have kept him and his team on and let him make what he wants, instead of being cry babies and getting rid of them.
If these rumors end up being true, this is going to be my last Metal Gear (not that that is saying a lot, I've only played Rising and the demo for MGS 1 on the Playstation back in the day. Still though, I find this too messed up).
Let the milking commence!

Dick move there Konami, logical business sense(Kojima is now effectively a business rival) but still dick move.

I kinda hoped it would be an April Fools joke or something. ![]()
Remember the Shadow Moses reenactment mission in Ground Zeroes? It had a sub-objective where you had to use a rifle light to make previous Metal Gear titles disappear, notice how the titles for games made by Kojima disappeared but the titles for games made by others(Konami) did not. Also Kaz said akin to you can remove the titles but you can't remove the memories.
Kojima knew.
What big names has Konami left if they part ways with Kojima and kojima-productions?
Peace Walker came out a while ago, where have you been?
I just meant I thought MGS4 was going to be the last MGS, anything that came after (including Peace Walker) has felt like a bonus. Logically, thematically, every which way, I felt like the enthusiasm for all the whole crazy 90s action movie/anime mash-up that is Metal Gear was kind of dwindling...
..still interested in Phantom Pain though!

You should try 3 everyone likes 3 it seems. Not sure how a hot dog will adjust to the controls but if you flop around a lot I'm sure you'll pull off some awesome CQC combos. ![]()

Peace Walker is an official MGS, what are you on about?
I'm guessing you are objecting to the use of "guess?" Well I took out the guess so....
I guess I just wonder if the open world thing will make MGS kinda emptier feeling/seeming, I'm sure it'll be interesting... I think... possibly... maybe...
