Have a 750 TI myself so I should be good.

Not necessarily.

That depends on the resolution and what you intend to run DA:I at.

750ti is about as powerful as a 650ti which can handle pretty much every game out there right now including Metro Last Light(Barring the super sampling AA options and turning Tessellation down to normal). That's impressive, but we don't yet know how well optimized DA:I is going to be. Also, it's a large scale game with good graphics, that'll only make it harder to run.

I'm even worried about it running well on my 780ti at 2560x1440. Hope it doesn't eat up VRAM like Skyrim does.

Is my AMD Radeon 7800HD new enough for inquisition? :S

Age is irrelevant. Which card in the 7800 HD series do you have? The 7850 would be sufficient, the 7870 is better.

For my 1600x900 monitor GTX760 will be excellent. I don't really need series 900 unless they have a serious advantage in directX. Also I found the cancelling of series 800 lame.

I've bought SSDrive, and few other stuff i needed, the question is when can I gather money for this graphic card!

Have an overclocked version of GTX 770, but heck those cards look nice. Maybe when I need to upgrade will grab one.

Has for it being perfect for frostbite engine over all its really hard to say being good for battleflied is one thing, but not everything using that engine will be coded the same remember bioware has customized a lot for DA:I even though its frostbite.

So wait and see is how its going to go.

From my understanding basically the 900s serias is the 800s for desktop, they didn't want people to get confused with laptop cards or something like that, its silly.

I have a 780ti myself, though the cards are very nice and tempting I won't get one just yet.

Have a 660ti myself. Wasn't worried about DA:I but the price of the new 970 might be too good to pass this up! I've got a 600wt PSU as well with Pci slots so should be good to go!

Hm, I'll make a note of this. How can I tell if my computer can support a graphics card like this? I am not familiar with how it works.

The two main things you need to check are if your power supply is enough to safely power the card, and if you have enough room in your case. Recommended power supply and dimensions should be listed in the specs of the cards.

I feel this deep in my soul. I'm actually kind of embarrassed to read what people consider "weak cards" here.

Okay, my power supply says 600W and the spec for GeForce GTX 980 says 500W so it should be fine. Don't have the money for it anyway, but it's nice to know I'd have the option.

I'll be upgrading to a 980 soon(ish). I'm currently limping along on a 470. Skipping the Kepler generation completely!

I bought mine 2 years ago or so with a much tighter budget than I have now.

It's a Nvidia GeForce GT 650M with 8GB of RAM... standard gaming laptop which runs current games decently on medium settings at 1920x1080 for some games and 1600x900 for others. It's alright for most modern games. Hell I run Skyrim on High with 60+ mods and an ENB on 25ish FPS which is alright.

However it's dying on me (I use it for work, study, AND play... RIP)  and I am going to buy a new one around November/December so I'm still scouting for a good one. What sucks is that with my current budget I could afford a really good desktop but it has to be a laptop.

Goddamn mobility requirements.

My ASUS laptop is over 5 years old and has a Nvidia GTX 260M graphics card. It still runs most games on medium settings at the least. It can actually run a surprising number of games on high.

It's definitely time to get a new one. And mobility requirements prevent me from buying a desktop as well.

Still better than my PCs graphic card (GTS 250). :crying:

I'm currently using a GTX 660 TI, wonder if I should just hold out and wait for the 780s to drop down or just go straight for a 970.

Im not really sure tbh... Ive tried finding it out but device manager only says AMD Radeon HD 7800 series. I checked properties and thats the only info my PC wants to show me >.< I went to control center and the only additional info is that memory size is 2048MB, memory type: GDDR5, core clock in MHz 1000Mhz (all greek to me).

The info in amd control center and device manager refuses to give more info than the fact that the card is AMD Radeon HD 7800 series, thats it.

From what I've heard no game really needs that card at the moment, but I too am in the dark age with a 570 and think it is time for an upgrade. I was waiting for nvidia to bring out the new toys before I upgraded for DA:I. So I too will be getting one, $330 for a card that is on par with a 780ti and half the cost seems reasonable to me.

Nah. Ubisoft's crappy PC optimization basically guarantees that once AC Unity comes out on PC you'll need at least two GTX980s to run it at decent framerate with all visual settings at max.

But for DA Inquisition one gtx 980 should be more than enough. That's one thing that makes EA (barely) better than Ubisoft. Their games actually can run on PC.

I have been waiting for this announcement for a little while for the fans on my 560Ti are starting to fail, but I am still debating on taking a wait and see approach to see what the Ti series might be like, for some people are predicting that the Ti's might wind up using the 20nm die which should become more popular with Intel releasing the Broadwell processors soon.

That's the recommended AMD GPU for Battlefield 4, so you won't have to worry.
