So how will they handle the Warden's personality (if they show up at all)?

Alright, now it's pretty much confirmed that Hawke shows up and perhaps the Warden will as well. Thing is, how are they going to handle the latter's personality? Hawke I can just seem them taking from the dominant stance used, but the Warden's a harder nut to crack. I just know for a fact that there's at least one person who's going to complain 'My Warden wouldn't do/say that!' compared to Hawke. Realistically Bioware aren't mindreaders and there's going to to be at least one group saying 'My Warden was secretly a demon worshiper and he/she should be siding with the Elder one!' or 'My Warden did all the bad things and killed every companion and innocent NPC but he/she's a softy at heart!' etc etc.

Any thoughts on how they're going to avoid a backdraft? Knowing fanbases even when there's nothing wrong there's at least some people who're going to make a fuss and make impossible demands that no game company could realistically address purely for the sake of it. Are they not going to have the Warden say anything? Give them amnesia? Have them be brainwashed?

The optimal solution would be making the Warden playable for the portion of the game they're in.

This is why I'm much less sure about a Warden cameo. Props to BioWare if they do it right though. Not sure how they would.

Maybe a bunch of personality traits in the Keep or something.

I don't feel like speculated as BW has not ever confirmed that the Warden Commander will be in it at all.... it has been suggested, but never confirmed.

I would like to see mine however....

If they choose to put the Warden in the game and "handle" his/her personality, then there will no doubt be an option in the Keep to select a personality type.

Could we possibly shape our personality with the keep? I mean it's completely possible to have the Warden be a manipulative sociopath who nevertheless does all the good things simply because he/she wants to be seen as a great hero and have everyone love him/her.

They could ascribe da2 personality, or whatever inquisition uses, to the choices we pick in the keep. Then assign a personality based on those decisions.

The most accurate and canon way to handle this would be to have them stare silently at everyone like scary mannequin.

maybe she/he only talks to give orders and thats about it. Oh and maybe tell some information about things, but never talk about feelings and opinions.

I doubt the warden will be in the game. They might even kill her offscreen before the game starts (or on twitter!) or if they do put her in the game, they will do it like they did to Revan in SWtOR where it's not your warden, it's some crappy default.

Not really a fair comparison to use Revan

Not really fair for them to rip my heat out and then step on it. :crying:

LucasArts always wants a canon for Star Wars

Bioware already said they'd let us customize them if they appear in game

I think our heroes personality would depend of who they were, what  they done, who support, who was their friend, who kill and other our choices what was main..

i am not think that they would have a very big impact so they would say few things what would have some versions what would depend of what we do in DAO and DA2..this is more easy with Hawke who have 3 variations...like hard, noble and humorous and have mosty 2 choices to be pro mage or pro templar...

not really sure why everyone uses Revan as their doom and gloom example, that wasn't really BioWares fault, the EU made a canon long before they did.

If they show them pretty much they will give them canon presonality that is 1 reason why i don't want them in the game.

And no playing them is out bio already said if they will bring them they will be npc outside player control.

Yeah, EU. When has EU ever affected the games like that? That would be like if BioWare decided to disregard all player choices in previous games and make the books canon in the next game instead.

The SW EU kinda does that too

Revan played a part in the TOR Era, whether people agree with it or not

Maybe she'll just aerial drop from a griffon into the final battle and not say anything except maybe offer you a ladder so you can GET OFF HER BACK.

that would be awesome seeing my Warden in DA:I after ten years and then playing as him again

maybe even make some choices as to what he was up to all the years that

would be great

LucasArts may have wanted a canon but it didn't force BioWare to put Revan in SWtOR, they did that on their own. :(

Well one idea would be to take chosen voice for Warden. The aggressive, sultry, wise etc. one's and make some kind of personality based on them. If not, maybe give us brief choice of personality, like 3-5 different personalities to chose from?

Idk, it will be hard for sure if we have our Wardens in the DAI since at least for me big part of their personality was what I headcanoned, like one's confident and aggressive, other cowardly and shy and last one just doesn't care about anything XD
