So how will they handle the Warden's personality (if they show up at all)?

The optimal solution would be making the Warden playable for the portion of the game they're in.

This is an interesting suggestion, but how would they handle the Warden talking to the Inquisitor, if at all? Go back and forth while we pick options. That might be awkward.

As i said it won't be in case that suggestion was thrown in warden and hawke thread and DG said that won't be in case if warden or hawke will be in the game.

Yeah I doubted it could be a real possibility but didn't know BW already confirmed it won't happen. Thanks for the info.

The keep isn't done yet. So I assume they will add to it if the Warden is to return.

Why would a possessed corpse need a personality?

Can I get you a ladder so I can chew the flesh off your face?

I..think this thread is for the world state if the Warden lives.

Dragon Age Inquisition Return of the Warden DLC! Warden is a playable character for this section. Do some missions for the Grey Wardens and conduct a joint operation with The inquisition against threatening Darkspawn.

I doubt the Warden is going to be in game. DO I WANT IT? Yes, very much. But, I doubt it.

I'm still happy with a Hawke conformation though :3

I mean, I do see one of my Hawke's not wanting to get involved with anymore nonsense after the big boom, but I have faith that Bioware will make this all awesome.

I doubt very much "if" will be a concern.

The most accurate and canon way to handle this would be to have them stare silently at everyone like scary mannequin.

This.

See South Park: The Stick of Truth for how to properly handle this. :)

Oh I can't wait to see how a reunion with a romanced Leliana (or Morrigan or Alistair) would go:p

Leliana: Where were you!? Three years you were gone and not a single word on where you went!

Warden: ....

Leliana: Do you have any idea how worried we were? What do you have to say for yourself?

Warden: .....*Gestures to a nearby ladder and then points to his back*

I doubt the warden will be in the game. They might even kill her offscreen before the game starts (or on twitter!) or if they do put her in the game, they will do it like they did to Revan in SWtOR where it's not your warden, it's some crappy default.

I don't like your pessimism.

That were just gameplay voices that had nothing to do with the warden personality... not to mention that says pretty much nothing as those are 1 personality trait.

Agreed. You could have a charmer voice and make the Warden act like a prude or the violent voiceset while advocating for kittens and rainbows.

Voice is tough in general, because Bioware opens themselves up for a world of complaints if they assign the Warden a VA (that's not my Warden sounds like! etc.) The Warden being silent would also be really awkward though.

Kind of like diplomatic, humorous, and aggressive...

If it works for Hawke it can work for the Warden.

I'm... not getting my hopes up for a Warden cameo. Both for technical difficulties discussed in this thread, and also because Hawke appeared in a trailer with a Warden, but not THE Warden. I can't think of why BioWare would squander that opportunity, unless the Warden is not making an appearance.

Diplomatic ,sarcastic and agressive hawkes were ready sets of personalities not to mention that we had opportunity to know them the warden was blank and you didn't chose ready personality you were creating your own.

Reality check... The Warden isn't your character. It's BioWare/EA's. Turning the Warden's voice sets into personality sets is the best compromise possible and you should be grateful if they bother to do that at all.

On Tumblr people talk about how if they do show the Warden everything that they will be saying will be censored with a noise and a companion will voice that in some way. Here's an example:

Warden: -a

*loud waterfall noises*

Companion: That's an excellent idea, we should set camp

Warden: b-

*loud noise*

Companion: Than why even bring it up?

etc.

I'm horrible of making up convo's

:P

They could always go the amnesia route. Barring that they could use third hand info - For example the Inquisitor could comment on their personality after having an off-screen convo, ranging from 'they're really polite and cheerful' to 'they're an ass'. The Warden's personality would then shift from there depending on what you picked.

The warden is my character when i last checked i created character that i suited me of course in terms of ownership of the game bio is owner entire da setting.Best thing they can do is don't involve warden as pretty much most of devs do with blank pc in rpg after they are done with them.Simple i don't see point if warden being in the game if it isn't simple my warden and acts outside the warden i created pretty much breaking character that i created.
