It is hardly an effect, if we can't, you know, actually affect anything or anyone of importance. Why Would It be a moot point If you can't execute Cullen? They didn't say we can execute everyone.

Well if there was change to execute our advisors then BW should give us others to recruit for their job. Cutting military, espionage or politics out of Inquisition would weaken it a lot. However BW would need to make new characters that would have been written to be have as big role as advisors have (they have as much dialogue as companions so they are pretty major characters) and for that reason I don't believe we can kill or kick out any of our advisors, at least until end of game.

Exactly. And at what point would BioWare have to stop replacing important NPCs with new ones and new voice actors because some gamers like to go on a killing spree? At some point the gamer who feels the need to kill an advisor will find themselves without support in a particular field with no way to get said support back without reloading a save or starting a new game. In a game you can't always get exactly what you want.Well if there was change to execute our advisors then BW should give us others to recruit for their job. Im hoping i get to feed Alistair to the gerbils
and make The Warden a tranquil court jester....
I think tranquils make terrible court jesters.
I mean, imagine what a buzzkill such a tranquil would be.
One of my Inquisitors for sure will have Ned Stark's policy, that "The man who passes the sentence, should swing the sword".

Is Cullen the only person of importance in DAI?It is hardly an effect, if we can't, you know, actually affect anything or anyone of importance.
We might very well punish people of importance in the game, that aren't our advisors.

Didn't they already state that this was the case.

They didn't. They said we can remain with One companion. They didn't say anything on advisors.

I could have sworn that in one of the advisor threads they posted that you can't get rid of them.

In any case I doubt it can happen unless near the end of the game.

I said this in another thread, the person who can be made into a jesters fate is already sealed, poor devil. I MUST have a court jester.

Checked the threads, I didn't find any devs saying they're unkillable/can't leave us. It's possible they said in another thread though.
In any case I doubt it can happen unless near the end of the game.
Did you check the romance threads? I remember it being a random thread a Dev poked into confirming the advisors stick around and can't be killed.
Maybe a discussion of the 1 party member we can end with.

We had a taste of this in Awakening, I didn't like it then and I doubt this will be any different.
I thought it was one of the better portions of Awakening, so I'm looking forward to this feature returning and being expanded upon.

It was a highlight of Awakening for me. One of the few times I genuinely felt like my character really an Arl's authority and power.I thought it was one of the better portions of Awakening, so I'm looking forward to this feature returning and being expanded upon.

Keep in mind, though, they said these judgements are only going to be a few. There's not gonna be alot of them.
Regardless, I can already tell there are going to be long pauses during these parts where I set down the controller, go make a sandwich...and just...think abt it. ![]()

I won't carry out any executions as I take the Amnesty International approach to the death penalty, and I won't use the rite of tranquility either for similar reasons, or humiliate anyone by making them a court jester. I'll have to see what other options are available with each judgement.

man, I don't know if I am a very good inquisitor. I tend to forgive people really easy, and if i dont excuse them I will find ways to make them work for their crime. I dont know if I have it in me to execute someone or turn someone tranquil... Like the interview says, it isn't black or white-- it's gray. Someone may have a reason why he/she is doing something. Of course, it's their decision to do something bad, and yes that leaves consequences.
gah, I am conflicted!
