I don't see how anyone could interpret it as an attempt to get pregnant. I interpreted it as that she is a career driven woman with a sex drive but no time for a real relationship.
I dont understand the conservative preoccupation with making sex taboo. This is 2015 for Christsakes (no offense God).

It isn't the sex, just the promiscuity, that's taboo.
Also, if Miranda was too "preoccupied", why would she then bother to have a gynecologist check her out? Plus, how can one be sure that it is merely a coincidence that the doctor's message came AFTER the sexual invitation?

One of the devs has said that the two weren't linked. So the two not being linked is part of the official canon.

Having said that..even without dev confirmation I think it is was fairly obvious in LotSB that the two weren't linked. Why would someone who was going off on a suicide mission, from which she may not return, bother to get pregnant? Even if she survives she knows the Reapers are on the horizon. It's just terribad timing for having a baby.

The encounter with the guy from the extranet was never anything more than Miranda blowing off steam.

Grunt's extranet searches gave me an idea; since Wrex is "king of the Krogan", would the title "Tyrannosaurus" fit him?

Yeah, I agree - I dont see how anyone could interpret it as an attempt to get pregnant. I interpreted it as that she is a career driven woman with a sex drive but no time for a real relationship. I actually admired her character for it. I dont understand the conservative preoccupation with making sex taboo. This is 2015 for Christsakes (no offense God).

By the way, if you are the same God that runs the facebook group and not a wannabe knockoff...I'm a big fan. Great humor. Much hilarity. Wow. Praise be to You.

Cheap knock-off I'm afraid. But yeah, that guy's site is hilarious. He trolls fundies like no ones business.

I don't see why it should be a taboo. And is it really promiscuity? Do you define it so easily as sleeping with more than one person?

She's not sleeping with just anyone. She's being pretty picky about who she has sex with. As well, I don't see an issue with a woman who takes charge of her sexual desires.

The developer statement that said that she wasn't trying to get pregnant and that the messages and the notice from the fertility doctor were not connected.

Somehow I don't think Miranda is the type to have a baby with a random guy on the internet... Besides she's probably wanted a kid for some time and that was simply one of many inquiries. But even if it wasn't, would it somehow be ok if she only contacted the doctor when she wasn't looking for a date? Would a two week period would somehow not be "promiscuous?" There's just no way you could make such a wild claim based on that alone.

It's more natural to assume that if she did get in a serious relationship she'd want to have kids. There's nothing odd about that.

Well it wouldn't be the first time a god wasn't real, lol.

I agree with god. To me, its irrelevant. Why should promiscuity be taboo? The fact that the word even still exists is ridiculous to me. I could go out and bang ten chicks and my friends would probably try to give me high fives but if a girl is the same level of "promiscuous" she is a ****? That's idiotic. This is 2015.
