What do you guys think? Will we able to walk and talk with people or it will be just an intro?
Templar Mage peace summit will be just an intro?

I don't know. Hopefully we'll be able to walk around a bit like in the origins in DAO. I'd also like it if we got a different intro based on our race. Nothing big, but something like the dalish elf talking with another clan member before the summit, a human mage talking with the other mages, etc. Would be cool.

Hopefully
It'll have a stronger impact if we had time in there before the Breach

That's always been the formula of previous DA games so I don't see why it would change.

I think they said that the game begins with the explosion at the peace gathering.

The way it was described, it sounds like we'll have a chance to explore the conclave before everything goes down. At least, from what I can remember of interviews.

Hopefully we get some pre-explosion cut-scenes as well. Arriving at the place and such

They said there wouldn't be an origin section/missions, but I think what they mean is there wouldn't, for example, be a section where you play as the Dalish Inquisitor in his camp talking with the Keeper. Rather, I think we'll get a cutscene or animated storyboard thing like in previous DA games that will tell us about that, and our first time actually playing will be at the Peace Summit.

I really hope we get a chance to wander around and talk to people before stuff goes down. One of the things I didn't like about DA2 was how in my first PT, the sibling death was so fast and sudden that it meant nothing to me (as well as the destruction of my village). I actually didn't even realize I *had* a sibling that died (I just got really confused with the Varric story bcuz Hawke looked different and then the sudden death, plus my Mage Hawke had long brown hair and I was like wait, did I just die??What/??) .
The impact of the explosion will be so much stronger if we can interact beforehand!
Seems like they like to start the games off with some action as soon as possible (makes sense I suppose), so I hope there's something else to do before the explosion. I'm not sure what though--all the backgrounds besides the human ones seem to offer some possibilities (dalish & carta spies/ qunari bodyguard), but I doubt they'd want to design 4 separate starting missions, so I don't know! Maybe there will be some kind of obstacle upon arriving there?

@AresKeith: I agree with you, but only because the characters presented will be notables we - the players - have met before (through books or games).
Otherwise - I think it'll have as much impact as Hawke's sibling's death. Which - of course, did affect some - but I don't think it was a very strong, emotional moment for many.

It'd be cool if a number of the people we can interact with before it all goes down are characters we met in previous games or characters from the novels.

I agree: Maybe Alistair is there along with Teagen sneaking away from the diplomatic talks to see if he can't score some lyrium or liquor.

I don't know. I mean, you'd think the dwarven and dalish Inquisitors wouldn't get much content in such a case, since they're not supposed to be there.

OR they'd get hilarious dialogue options where they can try to persuade/lie about why they are there.
Cadash: Isn't it obvious? I'm a mage!
Lavellan: I just really want all the filthy shem--I mean, people to get along.

The set-up probably will be a vo glossing over your origin and why you're at the summit but the summit itself might be like a tutorial level. You chat to various people and get some background to Thedas, gain some combat xp by killing rats or something, lie to someone who's suspicious about your presence then BOOM the temple explodes.

It'd be cool if BioWare wanted to kill off half their cast.

I really hope that we can interact with some people and also have some different stuff depending on the race
I didn't like DA2's opening I feel like we should have started at Lothering talked with people etc. and then we should have seen the village overrun
not just begin walking through some wasteland
no fan of Bioware's explosive prologues lately (ME3, DA2)
