What's #GamerGate?

A giant sh*tstorm of drama. Stay away from it unless you want to go down a rabbit hole of conspiracies, tears and bullshrimp.

Luckily I am super duper busy, so so time is just flying by. On the weekends, assuming I am not out and about with my friends, I am playing Tales of Xillia 2 or Wasteland 2.

Looking forward to Borderlands Pre-Sequel

Meh I am gonna be busy in University so  I guess i wont be bored(not really I am gonna be TOTALY BORED) for a while(check previous parenthesis xD) until October comes out which i believe Keep will be released that month too( seeing how they said 1 month before DA:I Release)

After that i am gonna be making Various world states in Keep, and read some books in-between

To me Gamergate is about a bunch of Gamers getting together and being annoyed about stuff, ha ha.  It isn't about hating women or Anita Sarkeesian who is only tangentially involved.

I'm going to be playing Shadows of Mordor, then Lords of the Fallen in October, so I won't be bored, hopefully...I want November to come faster...

I can recommend a few series to whittle a few hours of waiting time: Horatio Hornblower w/ Ioan Gruffudd, Shogun; the complete mini-series, and LotR Extended Ed are among my faves.

I have school and work to keep me busy, and I'm moving in a week so that's what mostly occupies my mind. I try to stay away from DA-related things, time goes faster like that. Other than that I play a couple of games and binge watch scifi series on Netflix.

I just finished DA: Dawn of the Seeker. I mentioned it in my original post but because of work I had to stop and ive been swamped since, but I just got to finish it and Cassandra is so badass. She takes down 2 dragons easy, and her personality is much more fleshed out compared to the small role she has in DA2. I thought she was annoying and a bit of a ****** in DA2 but now I cant wait to have her on my team. I usually have a balanced team, I will be the Battle Mage, then I will have a Rogue(either Sera or Cole-Varric occasionally of course), a Healer(most likely Solas unless Vivienne turns out to be cool or something) and a Warrior(Iron Bull). But now Im gonna have to add Cassandra into that Warrior list lol because I totally need her around for some intergroup banter.

BTW, I am adoring your suggestions and lists of stuff youre doing.

Just today I started drawing my first Inquisitor. She's a little rough right now and her ears are a little lopsided(she looks like a bunny) but Ill polish her right up lol.

And Im starting a new fanfic set in the Ouran High School Host Club world.

I live 1,000 miles away from any friends(I only have 2) except for my boyfriend and he isn't into videogames and Dragon Age the way I am so it's hard for me to do things with other people who actually have the same interests. Im not all that social in the first place. Id rather sit at home and play videogames, watch movies, and read.

You all are my people and I love interacting with you all. <3 :3

Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Dragonsfall Director's cut just dropped.....I should be good till the 30th when Shadows of Mordor rolls out.....which leads to Oct 7 when I will be sneaking in fear through a derelict station while being hunted by a Xenomorph....

Between the above and work....I'm good.

I've been playing games that I either owned and hadn't played or haven't played in a long ass time, in the free time I get between school and work anyway (which isn't a lot)

Most recently I played Bayonetta ... now I've owned Bayonetta and never played it because I was too lazy to plug in my xbox 360  and omg DID I FALL IN LOVE. I REGRET EVERY TIME I TOLD MYSELF THAT I WOULD, "just play it later"

I played through Origins recently and as well as Awakening and Golems. I'm now about to play Witch Hunt and then will transition to Dragon Age 2. So, I should be ready by the time DA3 comes out. :)

AP homework, tennis workouts, and NBA 2k14 are all keeping me busy enough until Inquisition drops. I'm also definitely planning on giving Origins and DA2 a final play-through.

The thirst is real for Inquisition though man  :(  :(

I just got finished reading Asunder on Dragon Age Wiki. It was the summed up version of each chapter but I am poor and cant afford the actual books but I still wanted to read it. Needless to say it was awesome and Cole seems like he's gonna be really cool. I plan on reading the rest the same way and in order. Gonna continue with my reading tomorrow with The Masked Empire and so on. One book a day that should keep me tided over until EXG this Friday and hopefully they release some new info and new demo footage I can salivate over for a few days lol.

True but i prefer to avoid wading through the bs and name calling from both camps and just get on with being a nice guy who just wants to play video games.

Speaking of which, i've given up on trying a third attempt at dark souls and pulled an oldie out to give it a run again, N3 Ninety-Nine Nights. I'd forgotten how much fun this game was.

Currently i'm doing the most in depth origins playthrough ive ever done. Not skipping any dialogue (cant remember the last time i did that) and reading all the codex entries (which ive never done). Once ive gone through all of origins i'll do the same with DA2 and that will be my import for inquisiton. Currently im also reading last flight. Once all thats done, im in the beta of the keep so i'll tinker about with that. I may start writing a DA fanfic or continue with my Mass effect one. May go back to ME to pass the time. I also need to playthrough dead island (gave up the first time, got really bored of going down the sewers every five minutes) and the witcher 2,  and complete black flag. I will probably also play a bit of the old republic and may reread some of the DA books closer to release date as a refresher

A few months back I started replaying the earlier DA content, literally sped through many back-to-back games of Origins, Awakening, DA2 (plus all related dlc). I finally ordered Asunder (in tandem with The Masked Empire); then preordered Last Flight (which I just sped through in two days). I've dabbled with Magic 2015 on my Xbox 360, but right now I'm a little tired of video games that I'm well versed in. Have little to no desire to invest in any new games, as I anxiously await Inquisition.

I am going to order the first two Dragon Age novels soon, and despite the fact that I'm a comics fan - I have NOT previously bought the DA stuff. Might give those a shot?

I preordered the collectors edition of the Prima guide and the Inquisitor Edition of the game for Xbox One (meaning that prior to November 18, I've also got to change out my console). I'm taking that day off from work to mentally prepare for the untold hours that I will spend in Thedas upon arrival, plus minimizing my Thanksgiving plans a week later (no travel, for instance) for even more time playing the game.

These days I

do 20-30 mins of cardio

cook (I'm on a diet and I prepare my immediate meals, it's pretty time consuming but I lost 16 pounds already so yay for me)

watch tv series

do guitar and vocal exercises

surf the internet, lurking forums, watching youtube videos and keeping an eye on news and upcoming releases.

I fill the rest by either going out or chatting in skype, playing a pc game (currently wasteland 2) and studying (not as much as I should, need to step up).

I usually plan my free time around what game I'm playing. For example when I play wow I don't watch tv and surf the internet that much. I just play wow. When I play other multiplayer games I spend a good amount of time practicing with various online applications. I always warm up before playing a fps, rts or a moba and I always play only one game at a time. If I don't play anything currently, I read a book, spend more time surfing/chatting online or going out more.

That being said, the most volatile hobby is playing music. Depending on my mood, I may try to write a song or learn to play a difficult one. This along with the exercises and the warmups can take a lot of hours. It's not odd for me to spend up to 8-9 hours straight sitting in the chair with my guitar practicing a song with a difficult solo. It's odd for the neighbors though ^^.

I have found some cool photos on my comp. of some "model" images that contain aspects or ways I want my Inquisitors to look.

-This one is pretty spot on honestly, I think my first Inquisitor will look a lot like this except for the hair color. I think they hair color will be reddish and the eyes will be green.

10636017_10101089796765763_5880320894380

-My profile picture on here is another example of an almost perfect image.

-This is a painting by Tran Nguyen I found at DragonCon 2014 and I fell in love with it. I would love one of my Inquisitors to look like this.

1. Become Legend (mostly consisting of getting butt kicked in crucible...)

2. Maybe try out Bound in Flame as it sounds a bit like Inquisition Light

3. Looking forward to our D&D group finally finishing Waterdeep module.  Fireball is much less enjoyable when magical chaos rebounds it onto your fire elementalist.

I've been running through Origins this past week, playing through the mage I never took past Harrowing, so that I could refresh myself on some of the plot points for the Keep. I find that I feel somewhat...liberated. Since there's no direct import anymore and I'll know I'll be able set my world states the way I want in the Keep, I don't feel as much pressure to meta-game my way through DAO. It's given me back that actual roleplay experience that had long since dwindled for me, and my mage feels like a much more fully realised character as a result.

I'll be done with her before too long, but the Fall TV lineup is beginning up again this week, so I'll spend some of my evenings loading up my PVR with shows I'll never get around to watching before they auto-delete. Good times.
