Fear not, Bioware always includes an easy setting which is usually so outrageously easy that it is difficult to die.
DAo and DA2 where easy on Nightmare anyways.

maybe there is a story mode? I don't know how Me3's played out

One shot everything.

They may include such mode, though no hints have been given.
ME3's "story" mode was well, the closest thing to god mode without it actually being god mode that you could have. You pretty much had to just stand there in the open doing nothing for like 30 seconds before you were in any danger of dying.
I honestly don't mind such modes being included, I've actually used it at least once for the purpose of rushing to see one particular story permutation. Would never use it for an actual "real" playthrough though.

You could hug a turret, get a beer and the turret would still be shooting at you while Shepard was just looking at it.
They said Mass Effect 3 was going to be the hardest one and it was an absolute cakewalk, even on Insanity. I can't even imagine how easy "Story" mode is in that game.

It's still harder than ME2 and ME1.
Wat... :/

I would also be shocked if the game didn't offer regeneration as equipment bonus. And im sure mana regenerates so you can keep a healing spell on.
Hmmmm - see.... I heard through the grapevine that we will not be given healing spells.

Really? I just started ME3 for the first time ever. I imported ME2, so I'm playing in classic RPG mode, and it seems pretty easy. Though, honestly, most shooters are really easy.

I think the inclusion of story mode contributed to that.
I play on Normal but if Normal is going to be a bit harder...that's okay I'll adjust. ![]()
But for those that play on Easy, hopefully it will be. ^^
I remember ME1 on Insanity was pretty unforgiving if you didn't have the skill "Immunity". I still think it has the best combat in the trilogy. It could use some polish, but it was pretty good. Killing these Krogan was hard. Also drones and enemies with immunity were pretty hard as well.
ME2 was only hard because enemies swarmed you while your bullets were very limited. The most challenging experience is the first few missions starting a NG+. Once you get the good weapons it becomes easy again. Basically it plays a lot like a survival horror game without the atmosphere.
ME3 is harder than ME2 but not by much. And only because it has more unforgiving enemies. You have more choice in optimization so you can make some extremely powerful builds. Also it has some joke classes that solo the game like it's nothing. Namely Vanguard but Infiltrator isn't too far behind. On pc at least. Get him the N7 sniper, energy drain and max cloak. Cloak drain headshot dead. Repeat. Anyone said anything about shield gating?

I love Infiltrator. I just love sneaking around and shooting monsters between the eyes.
Who doesn't
I play Nightmare on DA:O, sometimes its still too easy. :/
I play Hard on DA2, never got invested enough to try Nightmare more than 2 painful hours. :_(
I'm going to play Hard in DAI, if its too hard, I will go to normal, and vice-versa.
I think difficulty is THAT easy to understand. Play what suits you best. If you are not very good, pick casual. If it is still to hard... get better? I don't really see a problem.

eheheheheheheheheh
sorry. my mind is in the gutter.
This a really serious issue. DA:O was way too easy even on the hard difficulty, only the nightmare was somewhat challenging, at least some boss fights were - the ogre in the Tower of Ishal, the revenants, Gaxkang, Cauthrien. But because of whiners complaining about difficulty Bioware just made the whole game easier, even hard and nightmare. That was a big mistake. Devs should just make a casual "difficulty" for those who want only a story but with an added challenge of the hardest difficulties.
DA2 combat difficulty was a mess, I tried the nightmare but it's fights were so goddamn boring and long I just changed it to the normal. HP sink bosses and elite mobs with the waves and waves of trash mobs made just awfully long fights without any tactics thanks to teleporting enemies.

I'm not particularly a fan of DA2 combat, but not knowing where the enemies will appear doesn't negate tactics. It just requires using different ones.
It seems you didn't really understand my message.

Actually, it looks like there will be healing spells (go look at an image of the spirit tree from the E3 demo) however they said that they would be "focusing less on mage healers" which means that there will be no spirit healer/dedicated healer sort of spec to play as. Spells like Barrier however, have been significantly buffed, so the concept of a support mage should still be very viable, just in a more active, non-reactionary sense.
OT: I have always played DA games on hard, even from my first playthrough of Origins, I enjoy a fair bit of challenge in games, without things getting unfair or overly frustrating, and I think that Bioware has nailed that happy medium so far. I plan to continue to play on Hard and just slog my way through anyway on my first playthrough.
What I'm baffled is the number of HARDCORE players disgusted by those who want the reassurance that Easy mode will actually be easy. Ok, we get it; you're uber-gamers who got through DA:O in Nightmare with the pinky finger of your left hand while picking your nose with the other. I happened to struggle through Easy for much of the game.
What worries me is the part in the interview where the dev says all difficulty levels in Inquisition is harder than in Origins. I don't care if Nightmare for DA:I is harder than DA:O; that's probably great news for you guys. I'm happy for you. But I'm never going to play Nightmare. I only care if Easy is going to be harder, because it really doesn't need to be.
I'm not so worried that I'm fretting over it all the time, but it's definitely a concern since I'm looking forward to this game. I don't want to give up on it after a few hours of frustration like I did with Origins the first time I tried it. This is not entitlement or whining.

In what universe? The only fight that gave me any challenge was the mirror match from the citidel DLC. ME3 Insanity was an utter joke.
