I prefer SteamMonk and CyberMonk to SteamPunk and CyberPunk.
What kind of RPG Theme should BioWare do next?

MMO set in a Japanese high school.
Kidding
Seriously I would want to see some kind of nordic mythological setting. Asgard and Midgard, Vanir, Aesir, Odin, Gungnir, etc.
I found your game.

sadly historical accuracy will always be secondary to balance and gameplay.
That's why maybe mythology would be better than history. You have a lot more leeway with a setting like that.
MMO set in a Japanese high school.
Bar the MMO. Don't make fun of Japanese High School games.
Cos Persona.
Persona is sex.

Nah, AS OF NOW (from my expectations that is) I don't think BioWare could pull it off.
Well, not something as good as VTMB.

I don't care where it's set as long as one of the themes are proletariat vs corporatocracy.

Actually, it's a significantly more interesting idea then I was letting on. I think it's more I couldn't possibly imagine Bioware making that game, there is just no way to explain that to most gamers. Here's a game being made by seasoned Canadien company full of veterans raised on dungeons and dragons, set in a Japanese High School. Customize your character's hairstyle! Date the popular girl! Play fun mini-games at the Karoake Bar!
It would be kind of funny though, seeing Mark Darrah or whoever come out and start showing off the number of fashionable outfits you can obtain through mini games.
Maybe they could do a Shini Megami X Dragon Age like the Shin Megami X Fire Emblem. Watch Morrigan explode in class! Alistair the gym teacher, or have randomized dragon encounters on the walk to school or at the ramen shop, have the Elder One mind controlling some tsundere character.
All right I'll stop now.

Does it really have to be a Japanese high school? Japan's not like some kind of cultural unicorn.

Ehm, I don't think I was really being that serious at any point there. I see my attempt at silly has gone nowhere.

What about a group of radical all female elves challenge the natives of Themyscira to a no holds bar wrestling match. (real wrestling not that WWA crap). And after its over, all the losers have to give the winners massages?

If you're wrestling with Wonder Woman, does it count as mud wrestling?
