I'm in the early stages of Act 3. I've been using the blades that came with the dlc packs throughout the rest of the game. My question is, are there blades that surpass them that I should be using or do I need to continue with what I have?

Off the top of my thoughts, there are weapons that increase in power as Hawke Lvl-Up each time: might be worth it.

Those might be the best to keep, if only because if you're really good at XP management you can hit level 30 without exploiting any XP bugs, and by that point none of the standard weapons will be a match for your enemies.
That said, the rule for rogues is to pile on the maximum of +crit damage, speed, and +crit chance in that order, so whatever you have at the time that fits those is good. I'd keep the level-up daggers in the storage chest, though, rather than selling or throwing away
