There was a 3-4 MONTH wait between the console release of KotOR and the PC release. I still managed to avoid the Big Surprise on that one. It just takes some discipline and the ability to distract yourself, but I'm sure a few days will pass quicker than you think. ![]()

I played Kotor 2 BEFORE Kotor 1 and managed to avoid the big surprise even with all the hint drops in the second game (which weren't explicit enough, testament to good writing or obliviousness on my part).

I'm not going to do anything in particular different than when I'm waiting for other games to release.
Be busy at work, happy to come home, have dinner and then spontaneously decide what to do for the evening. Most likely playing either Destiny or Samurai Warriors 4, working on cosplays or dabble in any of my other hobbies :3

It's actually very simple. I don't think 3 links with guides are necessary. Here's the short version for those who don't know how to do it:
Just download Cyberghost, pick a North American VPN server, and play the game. You may want to switch Origin to offline mode after that so you don't need to use a VPN every time you launch the game.
EA has stated before it allows user to cicumvent the release date check using a VPN.
Do you have I link for that I read Steam does not approve, I highly surprise that Origin does.
Nvm I already read the link in the other post, I still have doubts.

I honestly don't think it is worth risking a ban over just 3 days. If it was a couple of weeks or more then maybe but to use a VPN to circumvent 3 days isnt worth it imho

I read "the dreaded 3-way for us EU players" and went full wut mode.
It involves the player, the developer, the publisher and loads of lube.

I'll still be playing AC Unity on the 21 st so the 3 day wait wont really bother me.

Ah ... staggered release dates. The game industry's extended middle finger to people who wanna buy their product.
Whoever came up with this needs to be tied to a chair and beaten with heavy mining equipment ... and then moved to Europe three days later for another beating with heavy mining equipment.

Does anyone know for us EU folks when we can pre-order the deluxe edition for PC?
I don't know about the rest of the EU but in the UK we don't have a Hard Copy Deluxe edition for the PC (all other platforms do though as a GAME exclusive). There's the Collectors edition (Gamestop Exclusive) and Standard edition on discs, but if you wanted deluxe it looks like you'll have to order it digitally unless something changes.
As I said though if you are elsewhere in the EU it might be different.

There's no risk, though. The terms of service don't state that breaking the release date is not allowed. EA has also stated several times that it's fine. I have done this myself for The Sims 4, and as far as I know, no one has been banned for using a VPN to play games earlier on Origin.

You'll have 3 days worth of knowledge from our fuckups if you're the "wiki how my decision will go" type, or at least some early "what lets me recruit cool characters as inquisition" resource info.

if you generalise America as being 1 days behind it's technically 2 days of wait (their 18th is the 19th for everyone else)
In Italy is out the 20 Nov. not 21...I don't know why.....
your retailers probably release new products on Thursday and / or you get paid on said day of the week. Australia's release is on the 20th (thursday) which traditionally is when we get paid, hence all our late night shopping and releases happen on Thursday / Friday.
it doesn't make sense in a digital age sure but not everyone buys digital and I image the retailers will be screaming equality if digital got to release first.

Stay away from social media until you have beaten the game, it's pretty much what i am planning to do since it will take me weeks to get through a playthrough anyhow and id prefer not getting spolied half way through.

I'm going to be out of this forum and avoiding online game sites the first day that EA access begins. And I will stay away until I've finished the game.

I actually resent this a great deal. Not because I'm impatient - I can wait three days more with no problem at all - but rather because it's unfair that the American people always come first. What the hell prevents a world-wide release on the same day? And why can't WE come first once in a while. How are you guys feeling about this and what do you plan on doing to remain relatively sane during this tough time?
Also, it will be extremely hard to keep away from spoilers during that time, and the thought that others know how things end while I can't even start drives me up the wall.

call my work off, crawl in my bed, stay in there for three days and cry till the game gets released here.

I can confirm that I have done this with a few other Origin games (just used a VPN to say I was in another country, other than the UK where I am now). They likely just have phased release to ease server load etc and if someone wants to go to the extreme of using a VPN (as I will lol) then they don't care. The volume of users doing that will probably be very small so shouldn't impact their servers.

Apparently you can only use EA Access for 2 hours, I thought it meant you can play it early but it's really just a 'trial'. I guess $5 (£3ish?) isn't too bad for that though.
