I actually resent this a great deal. Not because I'm impatient - I can wait three days more with no problem at all - but rather because it's unfair that the American people always come first. What the hell prevents a world-wide release on the same day? And why can't WE come first once in a while.

Also, it will be extremely hard to keep away from spoilers during that time, and the thought that others know how things end while I can't even start drives me up the wall.

Different countries have different practices for release dates so fairness doesn't come into it.

The country of manufacture is entitled to have the first release.

I'm ducking out about a week beforehand because of that early access EA thing as well as the extra wait for it to come to the UK. Do we know what that is yet? Whether it'll be MP only or will they have access to SP?
When ME3 came out a random American tweeted me the ending when I tweeted my copy had arrived so I'll be hiding from social networks as well.
There was one time I got a preorder 4 days early. If that could happen again, that'd be nice.

He could have just been doing a magic trick, poor guy.

Can't remember the last game I brought t hat didn't need several patches before it worked properly. Here's hoping that they can sort the day one flaws out before the game comes to the UK.

He told me about Anderson and the Illusive man. Telling me about the three choices made no sense to me so I wasn't that bothered. But telling me the fate of some of the game characters was a dick move.

As a Player in the USA that has ordered the disks rather than having to wait several hours for a DL install (*crosses fingers*), I also must wait for shipping time. Avoiding some Spoilers is not as paramount to me as others, but I shall likely skip the Forums that do have them. It is somewhat easier to avoid clicking on vids and channels that contain revelations, but I empathize with having to wait for what one wants to see firsthand.

Not really with the new save import system, it is good to have some solutions already, if any problem do appear, when the times comes to us Europeans.

For myself I think I found a ready solution to avoid all internet in these three days:

One of the offered time windows of my biochem lab course is exactly in the two weeks before DA:I release, ending on European release day. I'm going to pick that one. I'll be so busy with that stuff that I won't have time to have a life anyway. Perfect timing, that.

And once it ends, DA:I is released and serves as my delicious delicous reward for suffering through biochem. Heh.

Well, thankfully it's technically only one day Australia has to wait, because: when it's the 18th in the U.S it's the 19th in AU (Australia gets it on the 20th).So I will just  stay offline for 24 hours.

I will just keep myself superdupermega busy those 3 days, so that i can avoid spoilers and the likes. I will not be on the internet, AT ALL! lol, otherwise i will see something pop up and ruin some aspect of the game for me :P. i´m kinda weak minded when it comes to Dragon age so i will have to steal myself ^^,  So let´s hope i got a lot of work or something :P, i will also curse all who got the game already....silently... in my head...and perhaps cry a little :( ;).

Thats why you wait for reviews first. Destiny only got a 3 and a half star rating on amazon. Im waiting until christmas to get it because by then the price will have dropped and a few patches will have been released. At release thats when games are the most expensive.

(On topic),I will be working and doing overtime at work to keep me busy till the 21st.

I will try to do my X-mas shopping then. Don't want to use precious DA:I stuff for such things later on. Should keep me occupied I hope =)

I understand your point.  Im just saying that reviews give an indication of what the game is like.

For example I could get DAI on release date and pay full whack for it, on the other hand I could wait 2 mabey 3 months and get the same game for less money.

It won't be a problem for me, seeing as it was already pushed back by a year, then almost another 2 months, 3 days is nothing, though I will be avoiding the net to prevent spoilers.

Fixed that for you. Because Canadians count too, dammit! :D

You realise that using reviews and making your own mind up aren't mutually exclusive, right?

I mean, some games I know I like the look of, so will get regardless. But a lot of others, I will read reviews before making my mind up. I used to use Gamefaqs user reviews, but they seem to be dwindling in numbers. Amazon works too. Generally I would read one (or two, depending how well written the first one was) 5* Raving Best Game Ever review, then I would read the lowest scoring reviews that listed all the oh-so-awful things about the game. Then finally I would read a couple of balanced opinions from somewhere in the middle (3/5, 6 or 7/10) and see what those people thought were good and bad points about the game.

Putting it all together and allowing for hyperbole, I can then form a pretty accurate picture of what the game is going to be like, and whether or not I want to get it. I might be able to work out that perhaps some of the controls are a little ropey, but the story is good. Maybe the atmosphere is amazing, but the enemy AI is a little on the stupid side. Then I can weigh up the pros against the cons and make my own mind up as to whether I think I should buy the game, pass on the game, get it when it's cheaper...

Don't use reviews as taking somebody else's opinion for your own - but sampling a range of them is great for informing your own decision prior to buying.

Thats the whole point of getting it released three days early in the colonies. So those folks living in the settlements get to do last minute testing, so that the game is up to the exacting standards demanded by sophisticated europeans.

Alot of people outside the US will not wait those 3 days, and they WILL aquire the game trough other means, thus not even paying for the game because of this delay. This is purely bad buisness for everyone involved, there are no oceans on the internet. I can't see this benefiting Ea or Bioware in any way.

Haha gotta aggre with that. For me i will have soo much subjects to give to the teachers in College that I will have barely any time to play the game even when its released, so you can say i am pretty much saved from any kind of reviews/spoilers/leaks.
