I don't mind waiting the extra 3 days... the trouble is that those days immediately leading up to the release are the days when your hype reaches maximum levels and you most want to be reading on the forums and stuff, to temporarily sate the feelings of "OMG DRAGON AGE!!1111" that are building up. And yet, those 3 days are the time when you ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT go onto the forums (or anywhere else on the internet that talks about DA) because you can guarantee you'll be spoiled.

Even visiting gaming forums/sites once the game is past its release date is unwise.

The only possible solution is to avoid the internet for the entire playthrough of DA I.

I will be going on internet sabbatical. Indeed, with the XBOX One early access thing, my sabbatical will likely be starting a lot sooner than the Tuesday of release week...

I don't like it either, it will take a lot of willpower not to go looking on youtube for a playthrough, I have to resist, otherwise a lot of spoilers. But in the end I probably will I always do when new games get released. 

 

20th in Australia, which is basically the 19th in USA. So pretty much less than 2 day wait for us. I can live with that. Preload is on the 18th.

 

I like to imagine a world were a 3 day wait in the movie industry is considered a long wait, instead it's months

That's weird, I live in Europe and I can preload the game on the 17th, but I have to wait till the 20th to play.

It gives me the chance to get a sense of how the game is being received...but I'll be busy attending classes for my Masters on the preceding three days in any case, giving me a clear Friday-Sunday stretch just sitting with bags of Fruit Pastilles and Jelly Tots whilst I just tear my way through the game

South Korean you say? Any specific VPN you recommend? (This is integral in my planning to take time off work strategy)

If we're lucky hard copy preorders will arrive a few days early. My preorder of last flight was early by about a week, gave me the shock of my life. Not the same thing i know, but one can hope
