to be fair just cause someone plays one easy doesn't mean they are not any good at the game, most of the time its cause they want to enjoy the story and not have to worry about every single battle in the game

 

I'm much more likely to play DAI than the other two games after release in large part because the game is so huge and I've only played a smidge of the overall content, but I have played the combat stuff *a lot* haha.

 

So it's possible that I play the game on Casual even (I normally play games on Normal).

Would it be alright if I joined the group too?
I'm getting increasingly more interested in MP but one of the big barriers for me is interacting with others. I chickened out of playing MP at EGX yesterday because the whole 'challenge' thing seemed too hardcore for me and I was worried I'd just disappoint or annoy the other players. Being able to play with people who don't care that I'm awful would be a relief.

I love yelling/laughing at myself and others when dying in random and strange manners in MP. Mostly laughing and then yelling at myself or someone else "Hurry up and revive them!" *running over to revive fallen teammate muttering to myself about the other player(s)* "Stay alive...stay alive...stay alive....I'm almost there."

 

In Destiny the other day, in a group and *whomp* a Warsat for one of the public events landed on me. Insta-death literally out of the blue.

Maybe it's time to migrate to a new thread. I do wonder if we're missing some like minded people who may be intimidated by the thread title and don't even venture in.

I can't find the quote but I'm pretty sure that there is a Nightmare option. Add into that the changes to healing and I'm sure the game will offer adequate challenge level for even the most masochistic of players

I tend to agree, although I'm not sure where to put it. The folks we want to advertise to are not going to be in Multiplayer and I'm not sure a Group recruitment thread is going to be favoured in either Scuttlebutt or Story.

Hmmm, maybe I'll drop a post into each character/race support thread?

A signature link by members, perhaps? Not as the only measure, just an additional means of bringing some attention to it. I might even be able to whip up a little banner graphic or something to use in signatures...

You sure about that bolded part? I mean, I get that you're wanting to grab the folks who are new to MP, but there are those in the MP section that would be happy and willing to join a casual group (I did, after all). Everyone in the MP section isn't necessarily a hardcore, min-max MP player. It's just a place to discuss the MP.

No you make a fair point. I posted a thread in the main multiplayer group run by Maugrim , but I'm not sure how often that gets checked. 

I'll stick a post in there later just to be on the safe side.

The only game I have played on insane is ME3, died many times to do it to.  I usually play on casual and can work my way up to normal and that only mostly with Bioware games.  I own a host of games that are simply unplayable for me.  It took a while to figure out that these where predominantly games made for the various boxes.

The keyboard configuration of Bioware is "adequate" for me.  So a lot of games I would like to play are simply out of reach of course now I watch gameplay on youtube and know right away.  No need to buy and loosing money on unplayable games.

 

Never play MP, don't think I ever will.  Simply have not the nerve to try also raiding and PvP doesn't sound interesting, more in it for the story.  Think the DAMP Glorious Casuals is a very good idea.
