Hi Keepers! 

 

I got an awesome suggestion to open a thread where Keepers can help other Keepers with common issues they might be having on the DA Keep, so let's give this a try. We'll try to jump in here and help where possible too, but if something is a bug - please submit it through the beta feedback tool so we can more easily find and fix it.

 

So a few general rule for posting here:

• Check the Known Issues list before posting here
• As always, be nice and helpful! We get that something that's obvious to you, might not be as obvious to someone else.
• For suggestions and bugs, please remember to use the beta feedback tool so we can keep track of what's happening on the site
• Syncing may not be working for everyone (we're fixing this still).

You've gone through the synch and perhaps nothing is imported (or perhaps it is) but you can't approve a hero?
 
Head to the tapestry and the Hero tile, which then should allow you to select any hero (including your own). After that you should have no problems.

You've gone through the synch and perhaps nothing is imported (or perhaps it is) but you can't approve a hero?

 

Head to the tapestry and the Hero tile, which then should allow you to select any hero (including your own). After that you should have no problems.

 

Also be sure you're using Chrome, as it's the only browser that is currently guaranteed to work properly! I know for a fact that Firefox cuts off the "approve this hero" button, which makes advancement a lot more challenging than it should be.

Another way of dealing with this issue of Syncing and not being able to "Approve Hero" to continue on with the Syncing and Onboarding process is to:

 

-Go to Tools

 

-Zoom

 

-75% Zoom

 

-The "Approve Hero" button is right underneath the picture.

BTW I use Internet Explorer, so Firefox and Internet both cause this issue, so use Chrome if you can.

All right, I just got into the Keep and already have several problems of which I don't know if they're bugs or as yet unimplemented features.

 

First and foremost, my DAO profile data are imported incorrectly:

*My DAO achievements are not imported at all. I should have 108/109 but it says 1/3 and none of the many, many more items on that part of the tapestry are unlocked. My DA2 achievements are imported correctly.

*My main Warden had level 35 at the end of Witch Hunt but is only shown as level 25 regardless of which of the four versions I select. It's probably not important but I am suspicious, because...

*No decisions about DAA's main plot appear in the tapestry except "Nathaniel alive or dead". It would expect at least "Architect alive or dead". Also the main decision of Witch Hunt (what did you do when you found Morrigan) does not appear. The *presence* of the DLCs is recognized correctly.

 

I have checked the uploaded data on the old BSN and my characters are all there at their correct levels, and the profile diagnostics say everything is uploaded. However, when I try to review the story XML (which should include the choices, right?) I only get a black half screen below the character data. Also relevant for this may be that for some reason, I have several DAO "persona" profiles and some of my characters are split between two of them. The Keep appears to correctly recognize that there are four different versions of the same character from DAO, Awakening, Witch Hunt and Golems of Amgarrak but it apparently can't allocate them correctly. No decisions are imported from my online profiles at all but I don't know if they should be imported.

 

I have submitted these issues as feedback but it may be of common interest to clarify if any of these problems are known bugs or based on not yet implemented features. It may cut down on superfluous feedback.

I am not getting the full sync from either DAO or DA2.  No Achievements from either especially.

Any issues in relation to the sync they're very much aware of and currently working on it. I think everyone (including myself) are having issues. OP added guides to improve your chances of your characters showing up at least on the old BSN

Just curious if anyone else has run across this: I have two Wardens from my profile that did not sync while a bunch of others did. The interesting thing is that I notice that I never made up names for those two, so they still have the defaults (Lyna & Kallian specifically) while all the others have custom names. I'm wondering of part of the issue could in part be the system ignoring what it percives as duplicate characters.

 

Has anyone had their Wardens with default names sync successfully? Has anyone had Wardens with custom names fail to sync while others succeed?

Decisions are not imported at all. Levels don't matter and if you have the DLC's or not doesnt matter.

Are you missing tiles or something? Try it in chrome if you are.

All the DLC tiles will show no matter what DLC you actually own anyway. Working as intended!

The idea of the keep is to be fair to all, whether they are new players or not and if they got the DLC or not, thus everything is available to everyone. Decisions aren't imported (due to how buggy they are).

 

As for your second question, you answered it yourself if you can see it on chrome then it's missing. (other than that, ask around)

Does anyone know if we can delete our wardens. Like a lot of folks I'm having trouble with the Data Syncing. I had some error codes for my wardens on the BSN and now I've got all the problems corrected with BSN. I ended up deleting any wardens with error codes so I'm down to 4 in the BSN, But when I try to debug/sync my data in the keep all the wardens I had trouble with still show up but not my 4 good ones. I was hoping there was a way to get rid of the wardens in the Keep with the bad/corrupted data so maybe my 4 good ones will load. I've tried removing all the world states I made with my wardens and am now using the default wardens only. My achievements are still not syncing but I know the team is hard at work on this bug as many keepers are experiencing the same problem. I hope I wrote this clear enough as I am a bit technologically challenged. LOL.Thanks in advance for any help. And big hugs to the BioWare Team for all the hard work they have been putting into the Keep. If I lived near the headquarters for BioWare I'd make the team a huge Italian Feast!!!!

Well I've checked LBSN and all my stuff is uploaded to my account, my warden, my hawke, my achievements and everything else so everything is cool on the LBSN side since I always play DAO and DA 2 online on my PS3. But when I sync to the Keep none of my Warden's upload and none of my achievements from DAO load up, my Hawke and my DA 2 achievements all load to the keep, so on the DA 2 side everything is there but nothing from DAO uploads except for the promotional items. I know if we have the DLC or not doesn't matter but it still bothers me that none of my DAO or DA 2 DLC except for the promotional items upload but I guess that's my OCD. Sent my feedback last week so hopefully this all gets fixed in the next update.

For everyone asking for help with LBSN and syncing issues:

 

* Please state whether you are on PS3, Xbox 360, or PC

* Also helpful would be the version of DAO that you have: Steam, Origin, standard disc version, Ultimate Edition

 

This is not guaranteed to get you help, but it will be helpful in narrowing down problems.

If you have not patched DAO to 1.05 [link here] I do suggest that you do that. It resolved DLC authentication issues. But BE AWARE that some players have reported problems with 1.05. The last time I suggested this one person said that it caused more problems than it fixed. What those are I'm not aware, but there is your fair warning.

Keepers, the sync issues are being worked on. If you own DLC and worried it's not showing up on Keep, it is a part of the sync issues. It is kind of important to own the DLC, not because of decisions (because none of decisions actually carry into the Keep, just your Character profile like name and likeness) just as its a part of the achievements you gain when the Keep syncs correctly with your BSN profile.

Just to be clear if your BSN profile is correct and the Keep profile isn't, it is a sync issue. If your BSN profile isn't correct it may be your game isn't syncing correctly to BSN. Your Origins profile will sync if you change your equipment and save. Then change it again and save once more. I haven't heard of DA2 sync profile issues to BSN, but I'm sure one of the other Keepers can address that

Our NDAs also include using graphics from The Keep as avatars as they're also seen outside of the keep in regular forums, just as we're not supposed to be posting, sending, etc, screenshots et al.

 

If this has changed, then my bad, but that's how it's been.   Enjoy!

I have two GTs & played Origins on both.  On this GT I had just one canon Warden (avatar pic at left) that I had played online & which was connected to my BSN account.  The console save she is based on is long gone, so the BSN had the only remaining evidence of her. 

 

Just before getting into the Beta this weekend, I called EA/Origin for help with linking my other GT to my other BSN account in the hope of having a second Warden to upload to the Keep when the time came. However, without asking, the tech linked my older GT to my newer one & deleted my older Origin account, which essentially deleted my only uploadable Warden to the Keep. I am heartbroken. This avatar pic is all I have left of her. I really hope if our Warden does appear in Inquisition, we'll get a chance to reconstruct our Warden's face. I realize this is probably irrelevant to the discussion, but I'm really feeling the loss.

There was one image of the Keep given to the Keepers to use for Avatars. But it wasn't for us to share with the public.

Yes. I own the ps3 Ultimate Edition for Dragon Age: Origins.. and my warden never showed up along with my achievemnets and dlc except for promotional Items...

 

It was the same for me with Dragon Age 2... it would show that i had the promotion items but none of the DLC but my Hawke and my achievements did show up on the keep... but like others said... its a sync issue... it seems its mostly a console issues but im sure a lot of PC users have the same problem.

 

I have a little bit of a question...

 

if you lock the entire keep chocies from DA:O and DA:2 in one keep save... can you still make another world state? and is it ok to click on the export to Inquisition and what will that do?

Yes you can make up to 5 world states I believe and clicking export right now will do nothing since Inquisition isn't out yet

For some reason I can't seem to sync any of my custom Hawke files. It says they are not found.
There are at least two uploaded to the LBSN so I don't know why this would be? :/
