1) (About DAII) For some reasons, the Keep won't let me choose both "Merrill is dead" and "Merrill's clan was killed". But why? I can kill her clan, then choose the Templar's side and kill her when she opposes me - everything seems valid. Can someone elaborate?
1.1) Just noticed - it also forces me to choose "Merrill stayed with Hawke" if I want to choose "Merrill's clan was killed".
I'm pretty sure that's because you can only kill Merrill's clan if you do her final stage relationship quest, and if you complete it then she automatically stays with you at the end and can't leave the party and be killed while defending the Circle.
2) (About DAII) It seems to me that when choosing your romance you actually choose the person you were locked in with by the end of the game. Because my perfect plan for adding drama to the playthrough where my Hawke romanced Seb, sided with mages and didn't kill Anders just burnt in flames![]()
Yeah, mine too
. In regards to DA2, it seems that the Keep will only let you set a character as romanced if the relationship was active at the very end of the game. You can't romance Isabela and hand her over to the Arishok, or romance Fenris and give him to Danarius, even though you can do both of those things in the game itself. (The only current exception is Anders - you can set the Keep to both 'romanced Anders' and 'executed Anders.')
My 'canon' Hawke romanced Sebastian, and what to do about Anders was the most agonising decision in the game for me. Now that it turns out the romance won't be acknowledged at all unless I retcon my in-game choice, I'm torn all over again. (I mean, I can see how it's easier to code 'Hawke is with Character A' vs. 'Hawke is not with Character A' and skip all instances of 'Hawke was romancing Character A right up until she broke up with them in the most spectacular way possible' but I'm still conflicted.)
3) (About DAO) Zerlinda's quest - it shows only two outcomes (and I'm mentioning this because my PC is acting a bit strange lately and it's possible that there are missing panels). And if not - am I the only one upset by the scarcity of outcomes for this particular quest?
I reported it, but I assume the other options just haven't been added yet for whatever reason. (Obviously there should be five, not two.)
