So is it even worth it? What do you get from syncing your characters into the keep? Probably the name of your char in Da:O, and what else? Because if nothing, then what is the point of doing that?

Hi everyone. Only today i discovered that i have my beta invite in spam folder for 10 days already
Now i have probably stupid question, but i would be glad if someone could help me in this.
So i have played both DA1 and DA2 on my PS3. How can i "load/sync" my save games or characters from those two playthroughs into the keep? I've started up the keep, it found nothing, so i have to choose random pre-made heroes. Could someone guide me how to get my save games/chars from PS3 to the keep? Thanks a lot.
Not a stupid question at all. Nearly everyone here has asked that very same question at some point, and there'll be a lot more when the open Beta goes live tomorrow!
It's actually several questions in one:
Save games - you can NOT import details of save games. If you want DA:I to reflect the decisions your heroes made in DA:O or DA2, you must go into the Tapestry and make those choices again there. Do "lock" each choice after you've made it. (Don't worry, it can be unlocked and changed later, if you want to.)
Syncing - there seem to be all sorts of problems with syncing. For some people, It seems that syncing may never work, possibly because they never had an account with Bioware Social Network prior to this. I think I may be one of those ... But don't panic! Syncing, even when it does work, probably doesn't do what you think it does anyway! When it does work, syncing is supposed to do two things:
(1) Characters - if your characters do sync, a tile will be created with their name and a tiny portrait on it in the Heroes section, which you can then choose in your Tapestry. It does not carry forward any choices from your DA games except for those. If your characters don't sync, then it's not a big deal. As far as we can tell, they aren't going to appear in DA:I in any significant way, so your DA:I experience really won't suffer. Just pick a ready made character with the same race gender and class. Alternatively, download the standalone DA:O Character Creator and create a new hero with the same looks and name as your old one. You should be able to upload that without any trouble (it took mine around 30 minutes to an hour to arrive here in the Keep.) There is no similar tool for DA2.
(2) Achievements - if your achievements sync properly, all the accomplishments and rewards that already appear in your PC, PS or XB profile should appear here in the Keep too. Again, if they don't sync, it might be annoying, but it won't affect your DA:I games.
The important thing to remember is that the choices made in your playthroughs will NEVER carry forward into the Keep, and they aren't supposed to. Whether all or any part of syncing works for you, you must complete the Tapestry manually.

Not realy(since Hawke can be customize in DA:I, Warden doesn't have a physical appearance in the main game but will have more than a passing reference to him or her). People are very sensitive about their Warden and their Hawke, and don't like the look or name of the defaults. Its a friendly gesture from Bioware to let know that people's choices matter.
Also it means your achievements are all in the same place.
That worth something I guess.

Allright. Thanks a lot for your answers guys. I guess i will just use the pre made chars and just focus on the decisions.

Sorry for double post, but one more question if i may. Is there a way to somehow sort the tapestry chronologicaly? I mean, when i look at the tapestry it seems like a complete mess
(sorry for that term, but it just seems pretty chaotic to me) So i can make the choices in order that it happenend in the game?
And is there a way to somehow get a little bit more background on some choices? Because i randomly looked at some choices and unless you have robotic perfect memory, there's no way you can remeber what that choice was all about. There is just "did you do this? yer or no" and thats it.

No, there's no way to rearrange the tiles in the Tapestry. I guess, because they are different sizes, they wouldn't necessarily fit in a different order.
As for past decisions, click on the little eye icon above each question. If that doesn't jog your memory, I've seen these two suggestions:
1) Fire up your DA game and refer to the Completed Quests log. That will give more details.
2) Refer to the Dragon Age Wiki. That not only describes all the quests but also what the outcomes of different decisions will be, so that can be very useful.
Otherwise, just make the decision you think you'd be most likely to make now. Chances are, that will be the same decision you made in-game!

Chronologically, there is no way, but could put in a suggestion through feedback about it. Though it doesn't matter since all the keep does it take those choices and load into inquisition, then in Inquisition some plot or sub-plots will change according to the world state you picked at the start of a new game.
Dragon age wiki is your friend for more information on choices. The keep could have information, but putting all that information in the keep could crash it considering million of people will be using it in the upcoming weeks

Do you mean sections or tiles within the sections? With a few exceptions, I believe that the sections are sorted via chronological order (or at least Varric order). The majority of the individual choices could be done in just about any order, so not sure how you could put those in chronological order.Sorry for double post, but one more question if i may. As for mor details, click the eye above the choice for some context.

Also, in addition to the above posts, it should be pointed out that the order you did things in the game isn't necessarily the order other people did things in the game... So how do you know it isn't arranged Chronologically already? ![]()

On mobile phones it shows awakening then Paragon of her kind and broken circle and so forth. I think he's saying that awakening should be closer to Witch Hunt and stone prisoner dlc

Add to this, Awakening tile should be after the Battle of Denerim tile. pushing the Paragon of Her Kind and Nature of the Beast.
Also can anyone access the keep right now? All I get is a white screen. Tried it on Chrome and Firefox.

Because there are awakening questions in the middle of Origins stuff.

Yup. just tried and got in with no problem. (Using Chrome.)

Well that is a matter of resolution. There is no order of the tiles where it will display properly for everyone. If you moved awakening towards the end then that would move Paragon of her kind onto page 2 for me making things out of order for me. I think they ordered the tiles based on chronology for a two row set up.On mobile phones it shows awakening then Paragon of her kind and broken circle and so forth. I've always looked at it in sections of 6... The top three squares are first, then bottom three, then Awakening and other DLC...
But I've never looked at the Keep with a small browser like on a phone, so I suppose Awakening being in the right after Redcliffe would make things confusing...

They could cut up the Witch Hunt tile and make the Awakening tile smaller and place it next to Witch Hunt. Would that work? It would have probably been better if all the tiles were equal size too

Paragon would still be on page 2 and there would be a tile worth of empty space if they did that. They could cut up the Witch Hunt tile and make the Awakening tile smaller and place it next to Witch Hunt. Would that work? It would have probably been better if all the tiles were equal size too

Then they can do a swap. It isn't difficult

And you are an expert in HTML5?
no I'm not and I still think that linking a rearranged tile picture isn't as difficult as adding plot choices, modify the Web app to the different browsers, adding music, syncing said Web app to old servers of previous games. It could be done bottom line it just isn't on their list of many many priorities

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere: In Awakenings, I chose to have my Warden remain alive after killing the Archdemon (and without Morrigan's Ritual). I can't seem to make this world state in the Keep?

Mh, all well here, but that isn't helping, try going to the keep in incognito mode (Chrome) and watch you don't have any additional information in the URL. Just the www.dragonagekeep.com/

The only way your warden can survive without the ritual is if Alistair or Loghain did the ritual or killed the archdemon. If your warden is alive in Awakenings (but actually died in Origins) then the game assumes you did the ritual.
