After this new update the Keep says that my world state is invalid, because I can't recruit Wynne if Irving is dead, yet it's okay to choose templars side even if Irving must die for that. That's confusing.

Anyone else encountered this bug? Or its just my luck?

 

 

I'm also having the same issue with a new worldstate. I already had a worldstate set up with that combination (Irving dead + Wynne recruited), but instead of changing one of those tiles it set Dog as 'not recruited', and I can't change it back to 'recruited' unless I pick 'Irving survived the battle'. Which is pretty weird.

Hey folks, how you doing?

 

So I've been coming back to the keep for while now, when I check in today I was surprised to see DA:O heros show up in the hero selection.

Here is the problem, Every hero, even the deafault ones have a message that the world state is locked.

No matter what hero I choose, I can not advance past the hero select screen.

For the record, I have tried on both IE and Firefox.

I've had synching problems with my game info and the social.bioware site for several months now.   I couldn't been able to get any character later than 1/1/2014 to register from DA:O to the site.  So I'm building my own, using choices in the Keep.  The achievements come through just fine, but none of my Origins character do, even now.

 

The DA2 page works as it should even today.  I see the hours and hours I spent on DA2 right there on that page.  

 

Even with synching back online, those Warden characters that were from 1/1/2014 and earlier are simply gone.  When I click on my DA profile now, it's simply a blank page.  Even the completely unmodded characters are gone.  No matter which browser I use.  No matter how I get to the profile, or if I refresh or not.  No matter if I have Ad-Block or other such programs going, the characters don't exist as far as the website is concerned.  No matter if I try to synch it with the game while I'm playing it (by clicking on the "player profile" section in the game.)  I always log into EA online when I play Origins.  I tried this on Steam and then later on the Origin service.  My achievements did synch though for the most part, so I know that works.

 

I tried to get help for it, but I was directed to EA's customer service online chat instead of anyone from the BioWare site.  That was extremely unhelpful, by the way.  I even spent 4 hours on the phone to EA one night and couldn't get it fixed.  Yes, I managed to get a hold of a real person after the 3 hours I had spent online with someone that couldn't help me at all.  Frankly, as long as I can customize her story, I'll live with it.

 

My DA2 characters are unaffected though.  The characters and the achievements work with no problems.   So my solution to all of this is just take one of the default ones for Origins and tweak it to get what I'd like.  I didn't know Elissa was a default name at first.  I did have a HN rogue Warden that made it to the end of Awakening named Elissa, so I simply thought it was her until I read about synching being down at the time.

Do you see a "lock" sign on the current Worldstate you are working in? That could be the problem - to the right of the "BEta Feedback" Button you should see that.

You can unlock it by opening the menu to the right of the screen.

Okay so my previous issue seems to mostly be fixed. The keep still has 2 trophies for the PC version on it even though I don't have the PC version just the PS3 one. The two trophies in question are "I'm Kind of a Big Deal" and "Sharpshooter"...I'm sure the staff will deal with this soon enough though, because I only have a PS3 version of the game registered.

 

But now I've spotted another issue, where my trophies don't seem to be syncing properly, as several trophies aren't unlocked in Dragon Age 2 even though I've obtained them.The ones not unlocked that should be are "Exorcist", "Mogul", "A Worthy Rival", and "Nefarious". The DLC trophies haven't either. i know this is an issue with Dragon Age Origins, but I'm uncertain if it is in Dragon Age 2. Could anyone validate weather its an issue that staff are aware of or something they should be made aware of?

I've tried everything in the FAQs and all the suggestions in these forums too many times to count, so i wasn't really expecting it to work.

I still have this weird synchinc problem, as if they are loading from some "old" synching? I get 3 Hawke's (all on wrong level?) but no Wardens, they only load 3 or 5 achivements.

 

I dont know, if the Social bioware still matters? Since mine is still in read only.

Please, please, keep in mind that this doesn't work 100% of the time. 

 

If your character isn't showing up in the Keep even after a long period of time (more then 24 hours), try this:

You take the number in the very end of the link to YOUR own Dragon Age 2 profile, in this example it is "213985952", yours will be different:

and replace the number "000000000" in this link with it:

http://social.bioware.com/dragonage_profile_diagnostics.php?persona_id=000000000&game=dragonage1_pc 

You have to change the "_pc" suffix into "_xbox" or "_ps3", depending on which platform you've been playing DA:O on. 

 

If that page says you have your profile full (50 files uploaded), delete some of the Wardens then go back to the game and make a new save. The character should appear there shortly, it will take the character a longer amount of time to appear in Keep (again up to 24 hours), so be patient. Characters that have red crosses to their name won't be uploaded to the Keep. You have to delete them and upload them again.

 

You can find your own Dragon Age 2 profile by going to the Legacy Bioware Social Network (https://social.biowa...ntitlements.php) and selecting "My Games", "Dragon Age 2" from the left menu.

A couple of weeks into the keep, with it about to go active.  Actively playing an Origins game with the one Warden who didn't sync, changing areas and equipment and visiting new places.  Checked that all upload settings on both my PS3 and the game's internal settings were set to active.  Tried loading up the keep with different browsers, got very good at navigating the legacy BSN, and tried that trick that was on the syncing thread while it was still up.  

 

EDIT: The trick listed in the two posts right above mine, to be precise.

 

Still missing one Warden, all Warden faces (they mention those on the known issues page so they should exist), and all DLC, and about half the trophies.  Nothing has budged or changed since the Wardens came online.  There hasn't been one single change since then, except now I noticed they removed the blanked-out PC trophies for a console-only player like myself.

 

PSN reports that attempts to upload my latest save data to the BSN fail because of a "lack of space" - I'm presuming because it's now read-only.  The legacy BSN claims I have no data for Dragon Age Origins at all, yet it's definitely the same account (unlockables unlocked at the legacy BSN did successfully download, and most Wardens uploaded).

 

I'm a little worried for the launch at this rate, to be honest.  I don't imagine the flood of new people coming today is going to improve my chances of successfully syncing up

Going by your directions, I tried changing the persona ID in the URL to 981003836 for Origins and it did not work.  I tried putting the persona ID as shown by the link to my blank character page for Origins, which is 826594736.  I also tried the nid number that was in my profile URL for Origins, which is 2297317714.

 

Nothing works, at all.  I uninstalled and reinstalled as per instructions.  I did everything the two EA reps told me to try over several hours and nothing at all works for synching my Origins data.  Again, this doesn't bother me terribly much because I can at least get my story set up.  

 

I wanted to add that this is my only Origin account.

They've said they're looking into it, but it would be very hard.  They're trying, though.  It think they're focused first on squashing the bugs.

- I don't believe I have any other BSN or Origins accounts. I certainly don't remember ever having made one before (never needed one before this!)

- I did wonder whether my ownership of DA:O or DA2 might not be registered (quite possible, unless it's done automatically when you play with the upload button checked), but it now seems impossible to do so since I no longer have the DA2 game disk and there is no number on the back of my DA:O (UE) box which is apparently required for that.

 

These things may or may not not be Bioware's fault but, if either or both of these factors are the problem, then I'm guessing that a huge number (possibly the majority?) of DA:I buyers are going to be in the same position and there will be a lot of negative feedback post-launch.

 

At the moment, I'm really struggling to understand why something which should be so simple has been made so difficult.

It's okay.  It had both EA reps absolutely stumped.   Thanks for the suggestion though.  I know some of the devs that work more on the online side of things read the thread, so I hope that they can possibly do something about it.   If not, at least the Keep is there.  And all of my achievements are there, so that's really the most important aspects when it comes to my Warden.

The easiest way to fix all this would be to once again allow us to access our DA:O profiles, that way there wouldn't be a need to use this workaround that only works half the time anyway because we could simply press a button.

If it's just a case they made it read only when something is still in Beta then that is silly. I got 1 on my Wardens to upload in name and level only into the Keep, there is no face image for them, this was done by loading up the game, making sure all things were ticked and then loading the character and saving again but it's still a bit of a mess.

 

I even tried downloading the chracter creator and uploading from there, that character is not listed (was a great design too). I've all but given up on uploading these characters, honestly.

I am curious I am having an issue with the ISS it wont work and instead of actually working I get a error message telling me to try again later I am using the latest version of Firefox and I tried clearing my Cache but nothing anybody else having this problem?

I cant answer the bit about your origins characters not syncing, I can however say that not being able to see the DA:O profile is I think due to it now being read only. I can't see it either but my Heroes are in the keep .

I just built a couple of world saves to test and none of my Wardens are in the keep.  Again, since I can build my story and had a Warden named Elissa anyway, it doesn't phase me too much.  Mainly just annoying.

Yes there were a couple of changes to art tiles:

• Amalia and Kitty
• Isabela's "didn't give to Arishok" tile
• Had Marjolaine killed
• Zerlinda's tiles were added
• 'Did not encounter Goldanna' also looks different to me, but I'm not certain about this one

I may be missing a couple more.

Oghren and Wynne also get some changes.

 

But i still wonder why is the Oghren tile in Awakening and Nathaniel tile in Origins?
