Well, that isn't technically a bug as it is possible to romance him and Leliana if you harden them both.  Now, some may think it's a bug, but it's never been verified as such.

It's a bug within the Keep, because the Keep isn't supposed to recognize that the PC has more than one romance(as a design choice)...

I'vebeen researching, and apparently the inability of PS3s to properly and consistently sync to the BioWare servers has been a known bug for five years that they never even bothered to address on the forums.  There were, like, a dozen threads on the forums when Origins was released.  It was never fixed.

Back in the days when it was just about showing off your portrait and stats to your fellow players on the BSN, nobody did anything.  Now that it's preventing many PS3 players from properly syncing to the Keep, it's serious.

I love the storytelling and the worldbuilding and the characters of Dragon Age.  I loved both DAO and DA2 (I know few are fans of both).  The only thing I never liked about the DA universe was the terrible, terrible lack of patches and tech support - especially noticeable in Awakening.  Does this five-year-old bug mean one of my characters is lost for good? :(

1. It's highly likely that it's on Sony's end.  The Raptr service has no problem syncing with PC games or Xbox 360/One games, but they consistently have issues with PSN.  It'll work for a few days then break again for months at a time.  Sony is NOT friendly to websites and such syncing with their servers.  That's not Bioware's fault.   At the same time, Bioware has always been careful to avoid saying "It's not our fault, blame X other company" which may or may not be the best idea, but then again blaming them can also be seen as not a good idea.  Damned if they do, damned if they don't.  An example was back with the original Neverwinter Nights, I played on a Dell PC running Windows ME.  For some reason Dell OEM versions of ME blocked certain ports NWN needed to play online.  They were blocked deep within the OS, you couldn't just open them.  The only way for Bioware to fix it would have been to completely rewrite the entire coding of NWN's multiplayer for the small number of players like me, running Win ME on a Dell.  They themselves kept telling us how to open ports, but it was us who figured out that every last one of us having this issue were all running Dell Win ME and that it simply wasn't possible to open those ports without knowing how to hack the core WIndows ME OS.

2. That very well may also be a reason why the Keep is a good thing.  You don't NEED to sync your portrait and name with the keep.  Those will not be imported into the game (they've said this on the Twitch stream) only your decisions created within the keep itself.  The name and portrait is for you to keep track of your Wardens/Hawkes.  It's a nice feature, but not necessary.

3. I am sure that being able to download from the Keep within DAI will be allowed, as that is actually "game-breaking" if Sony doesn't allow that.

Thank you.  Knowing that actually helps a lot :)

I've been struggling with this tech stuff for two weeks, and knowing it's not something I'm doing or even that BioWare's doing makes it somehow easier to deal with.

I guess I'll just have to wait until Sony's firewall gremlins decide to open the floodgates and let my character through.  I'll use another for my first playthrough.

It might be good for us to post somewhere pinned that PS3 users are especially likely to have trouble syncing characters.  I know a lot of others are in the same boat right nw, endlessly trying the suggestions posted on websites and getting no results :(

I finally got access to the keep from a PC and I'm sure this has been asked before but I don't have the patience to skip through all the pages lol. For the first time I'm noticing red flags above some of my wardens, what does that mean? Again I know this has been discussed but I forgot exactly what was said about it.

It means they're being used in some World state.

If I remember rightly, the red banner icons indicate that the Hero has been allocated to a World State.

I am not sure why but each time I log into the keep I have to redo the whole syncing and upload process. It does not acualy effect my worldstate just makes me do this process over and over. Any idea as to why?

It's been like that ever since the open Beta went live. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's meant to be like that.

Either way, I agree it's pretty annoying.

(And doubly so if, like me, you're one of the people syncing doesn't work for anyway!)

The Dragon Age Keep seems to KEEP trying to sync my data for reasons that escape me.  I've done it quite a few times already and yet it insists on syncing.

EDIT:

Doh! Already mentioned above. lol.

So it has been weeks of not being able to save any world states in the keep.  The only response I have gotten is to ask what OS and browser I'm using and when I respond, I don't hear anything back.  This is really frustrating.  Does anyone know what they are doing to fix this major bug in the keep for those of us who the keep keeps timing out?

I got both games and of the major DLC on Xbox 360 and PS3.

My problems:

1) When I go through the sync process it won't play the movie (except once). While not a deal breaker but I would I would like to hear Varric's narration of my world state,

2) None the DA II DLC is not appearing in my career even though I bought it through Xbox Marketplace and the PS Store and yes I have it checked out, but what is the ETA?

3) How do I create a new world state once I have the first done?

4) How delete extra world states that I don't want or need? I got 8 copies of the same one I don't need that many!

.

1. When you have a World State loaded up, click on the globe icon (top right-hand corner). You will get a drop down menu. Click on the name of the World State you want to hear narrated. The entry for that WS will expand and show a number of icons. One of those is a "Play" button which - I believe - should play Varric's narration of that World State.

2, I haven't seen any info on a time scale yet.

3. Use the globe icon as in Point 1 above. In the right-hand menu, there is a "+" button. Use that to start a new World State. (You might also have to click on the "eye" icon to bring up the new Tapestry to amend - can't remember off-hand but, if you do, it's next to the "Play" icon.)

4. Again, click on the name of the relevant WS in the right-hand menu that you bring up with the globe icon, and you'll find the delete option.

Is there a way to create a new world state based on another one? I only want to change a few of choices.

Hmmm. Haven't seen that question asked before. Unless someone comes up with a better answer, I suppose you could achieve this in the following way:

1. Create and name your "base" World State.

2. Export that World State to the cloud (not sure if it's available yet, but I think it might be ...)

3. Make the one or two changes you want and rename the World State.

4. Export the amended WS to the cloud.

You wouldn't have both World States saved in the Tapestry but, logically, they'd both be available for importing into the game from the cloud.

Just my initial thoughts. If you get a better/easier answer, by all means go that route instead!

Not easily.  The only real way to do so at the moment is to share your world state with a friend, have them share that exact same world state, and then take it... That's the only way, right now, you can have a duplicate world state, without having to set all the choices a second time.

It should be pointed out, though, that the above might not work, because taking a shared world state as your own has a tendency to overwrite one of your own world states.  So it's possible that it overwrites the original, rather than duplicating it.

Just to point out, the cloud only saves one world state at a time.  Every time you export a world state, the one you had on the cloud is deleted/overwritten.

I have a question ^_^ My brothers, myself, and my dad all play Dragon age, and we are planning on buying one copy for one computer. However, this means we will have multiple characters being played at the same time. My question is, on a PC, can you use multiple origin accounts with the one game copy? Does this answer differ depending on if you buy the physical copy or digital download? Lastly, if you can only use one origin account, while I know we can have multiple world states, can we have multiple Last Court saves/games as well? And will they be tied to world states or separate? Thank you for your time... ^_^

EDIT: oops, only second half of question directly pertains to keep, sorry...

You cannot play the same game on different Origin accounts. This is true with both the digital and physical copies: with the physical copies you still have to register your game on Origin, and that code can only be used once. So you can only use one Origin account.

As for the Last Court I'm not sure how it's gonna work. Since they've said that the Last Court would unlock a choice I assume that it's tied to a specific worldstate, but don't take my word for it.
