My warden is a rogue but in the video thing, it seems to show her as a Warrior with a sword and shield and yes I checked and rechecked that rogue was clicked, is that just a default visual for the vid or does the keep really think that she's a warrior based off of the vid?

Yeah, it's a generic thing based on your Origin.  So, it's "human with weapons" "Elf with weapons" "dwarf with weapons" or "mage"

Hey guys.

I really need some help here, there is some background info which needs to be known so I'll try to keep it brief.

I had to change my PSN ID when I moved to Australia as Sony would not change the region on my UK account due to their policies.

So far I've set up two world states and noticed today that my Origin account was pointing to my old PSN ID. Since Origin will be responsible for bringing my world state data to DA:I I thought this was bad. Went through EA live chat with an advisor and they removed my old ID so I could link up the Aussie one but said I would need to set up my world states again.

After 1 hour 20 mins of stuffing around I then log into the Keep to discover that my world states are still there, wonderful.

Unfortunately a very large problem has worked it's way into the equation. My character names are all gone. I'm now stuck with defaults! Duran, Garrett, Kallian and Marian :-(

Because the names were there before, I think they were tied into the Origin account but now it's a different PSN ID they're gone :-(

Whilst I'm sure my characters aren't going to be referenced by name in DA:I, to me character names are still very important.

Surely my choices can't be limited to:
1. Play with my UK ID to keep character names
2. Play on my Aussie account and lose character names

Any advice/suggestions at all would be very welcome.

Have you tried reuploading? Basically open your old saves (if you still have them) and unequip your armor.  Then save the game.  THen reequip your armor and save again.  Assuming PSN isn't being wonky (it's a known issue that both XboxLive and PSN don't always send the data to EA as quickly as one would like), it should upload them as long as your Origin account is correct.

EDIT: And yeah, I totally get why the name and especially portraits matter.  If nothing else, it's easier to quickly tell my characters apart. :D  Plus, even if it's not imported to DAI, my mage Rose Amell is just awesome looking in my not so humble opinion (which is why, as of this posting, she's my avatar)

The old games were on PS3 but I upgraded to PS4 a couple of months back and sold the PS3. Although with a lot of games you can't take the save file to another PSN ID as they're locked, not sure if this was the case with DA though.

Edit: Like the avatar BTW, very bright :-)

Ah, yeah then in that case there is no way to get them on the Keep sadly.  In fact, you are correct, Dragon Age saves cannot be transferred from PS3 to PS4 (which is one of the many reasons why the Keep was created)

I have a question to ask. I think it's potentially dumb, but it's been nagging at the back of my head ever since I noticed the 'export to DA:I' button.

My husband and I share an Origin account, so all our world states are together in the Keep. I noticed I can only export one world state at a time into DA:I. Will I be able to upload mine into a new game... then would he be able to go into the Keep... export his own... then use his own world state for a different character? Without it affecting my DA:I save?

I'd appreciate any answer. <3

Yes, you can safely do this. Once you start a playthrough, changing the imported world state won't affect it.

Yes, if my understanding is correct, you'll be fine.

When you hit the "Export" button, your World State goes into a kind of "buffer zone".  You can only have one World State in there at a time so, when you fire up DA:I, that will be the only World State it will find.

Before your husband plays, he should go into the Keep, load up his own World State and export that into the buffer zone. Yours will be deleted/overwritten (not from the Keep, just from the buffer zone!)

When he starts a new game in DA:I, his World State will now be the only one in the buffer, and so that will be the one that DA:I imports.

Can anyone who allowed the Purveyor of Fine Tea to petition the Divine please tell me how that went? Preferably in spoilers below or in a pm sent to me. Thank you :)

How will the game recognize my world state from the Keep? I have exported it in the Keep and there it says, that it is used at the start of a new game. Does the game request the data from the Keep, when you start a new game, because I can't find new local files on my hard drive?

The game asks you if you want to use a custom world state or a default one.

And where does the game get the data? As I-Net querry form the Keep page?

You need to be connected to the Internet and your Origin account and the game will upload your world state.

Anyone else have any thoughts on my situation with the default names and appearances?

I was thinking if Bioware allowed us to change that stuff in the Keep. A search of the forums has shown that appearances won't be happening but names could. This post was on October 30th. Has there been any official word in this?

Yep, it's weird but for some reason you can't do friends from the Keep itself, you must go to the Origin Desktop program to accept them.  I imagine it's due to the ability to add friends inside the Keep wasn't tested due to the NDA, so it's broken.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon, but until then Origin Desktop is your only option to accept those.

Hmm. I got the bizarre thing again where I get locked out from accessing the world states page - it just won't load, and I keep getting the "oops" alert. Happens in both Chrome and Firefox.

Cleared the cache a couple of times, still no good. Last time this happened I just waited a few hours and I eventually got back in, so I guess I'll try that.

Hey, I Have a simple question and sorry if it was all ready answered earlier in the keep thread: Does the Whole Importing a Dead warden into inquisition and having it treat them as mysteriously alive exist in the keep in any way, the only way to have the warden survive DA:O Is Through someone else doing the killing blow or demon god baby right?

No. If you manage to get your Warden into the Keep (dead or alive!) it's just a matter of record, confirming that's the character you played in DA:O. The Warden doesn't appear in DA:I so, while there may be a reference to the fact that he/she did or didn't die (as there was in DA2), it won't treat your Warden as "mysteriously alive!"

And, yes, the only way of keeping the Warden alive in DA:O was to have someone do the Dark Ritual with Morrigan or let someone else kill the Archdemon.

Right, though you didn't ask per se, I will also clarify that they've said that if your Warden died then it's assumed that the Orlesian Warden did the events of Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak, and WItch Hunt.  (Although, last I checked there was still a bug present with that, in that if you romanced Morrigan you can go through the Eluvian with her otherwise you cannot, but that's the only stipulation... so that means that if the Hero of Ferelden romanced her, then the Orlesian Warden did too... O_o )

EDIT: Ahh! I just checked they fixed it!!! You now are forced to change the Warden to Alive and Well in order to go through the Eluvian :D
