I'm confused about how the keep works now. Do I have to start all new games for it to record my choices? Do I copy the current play through to my world state and then start a new game or do I wait until I finish the game to copy it?

To unlock all the tiles, wait until you've finished the game on that character before copying the Playthrough over to edit. You can copy the save over at any time, but it won't update with your progress

So I've seen reports of people having issues with too many Inquisitors showing up in Keep from people's tests, but I'm having the exact opposite problem and not having much luck finding a solution.

 

Sorry if this has been asked before but a deleted test Inquisitor I made has shown up in Keep but my main Inquisitor (one I've completed the game with) is not showing up in Keep (it just shows the default male Lavellan).

I've tried all the trouble shooting I could come across from the save trick to clearing my cloud saves and re syncing them and nothing has worked.

 

Is anyone else having this trouble or knows how to force it to upload the correct Inquisitor?

Well I have found something I have 2 Origin Accounts and my main one is always locking up in the Keep but my other one works perfect so I was wondering if I will need to abandon my main for my second one any thoughts?

Okay so this is my issue I'm faced with. Currently in my tapestry, it's finding 5 heros: double of my first character playthrough, double of the second, and then my dwarf from the last playthrough I did BEFORE my current one I recently finished. This lets me know that it is reading SOMETHING though I wish it wasn't doubling up two of my characters (is there a way to delete one?). Only issue I face now is I can't get it to pick up my current playthrough what so ever. I've tried resaving, I've tried uploading screen shots, I've made sure the cd key was registered on bioware social... It's not finding anything and since the game is read only I can't actually -view- anything on bioware social.

 

The game I'm running is Dragon Age: Origins Unlimited Edition through Steam. The game is always logged in through my origin account. The tab to enable character upload in options is also checked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It hasn't recognized it for several days now. Thanks!

Just to see if I understand correctly, the heroes that you are talking about are all from DAO, right ? (It doesn't read your playthrough, just your characters, eventual DLC and achievements)

 

The doubling of two of them may be because you imported them in Awakening and/or other DLC. At one point, I got four time the same character.

 

About the character from your last playthrough, did you try creating a new character to see if it has any incidence ? Did you check if all the DLC and achievements are syncing correctly, especially the most recent ones ? 

Sometimes, recent data may take a while to sync with the Keep.

Yes, select the hero in the hero section of the keep and there should be a trash icon on them

 Sorry I took so long to get back, took a bit of a break. I'll try making another character and see how it goes. As far as the DLC is concerned I THINK it updated? It updated a lot of stuff so I'm not 100% on that. It did pick up some DA2 achievements which I know I didn't have before because I started up the game and then didn't play. I quit as soon as I could quit out of the game when I saw you could use your previous saves. I'll double check now and see what it looks like.

 

 

And I'll look for the trash icon. I was looking for one and didn't see it so I probably just overlooked it cause I was more concerned about where my current playthrough was.

Okay. She's still not up there. I deleted my doubles and I checked my achievements and to be honest it's hard to tell because I've done a playthrough as a rogue before and I didn't notice any particular achievements that I'd have gotten this time that I wouldn't have gotten before. I'm gonna try making a new character and see if it picks her up - something I haven't played before. I'll keep you updated. If anyone has any more suggestions please let me know because it still isn't picking up my game. Thanks!

 

 

Update: After starting a new game and doing a mage playthrough til Ostagar, I checked the keep and now my last playthrough is showing up. My new one, however, is not, and I haven't checked to see if the achievement for completing the harrowing updated. Either way, my last one at least finally is being recognized which makes me feel better.

Quick question - I currently have all but one of my playthrough states full thanks to messing around in the CC. I know the option to delete them is coming in the future (at least I think I remember seeing that), but for the time being, what happens if my playthrough states are full and I start a new playthrough? Will one get over-written? Is there a way to choose or organise which one, if so? I don't want to risk losing either of my 2 completed playthroughs (though I guess I could recreate them with my saves)...

 

Also, any ETA on the 'delete playthrough states' function?

Playthrough #10 will get overwritten by #9. While the save that you were playing before you start a new game becomes #1.

 

Basically every Playthrough gets shifted one position. while the last save you've loaded is always the current Playthrough

I'm getting the same problem, unfortunately. ;_;

 

It seems very few people are encountering a problem similar to ours, so I'll just leave this here, in hope that someone has a solution or that it will eventually be fixed.

 

Only one of my Inquisitors has actually shown up in the "Inquisitor" section of the tapestry. Because of this, I cannot unlock any of the slides as that Inquisitor has been scrapped and will not be completing the game any time soon. Has anyone stumbled upon a solution to this problem? For their sake, I hope so. I find it unsettling to have the entire future of my Dragon Age world states balancing on the hope for a fix. A fix for a problem very few people are having, too. No finished inquisitor = no options = default world state.

 

The very thought of the default world state makes me shudder. I've been there. It's not pretty. >->

It's not dependent on the character though, its the save that the data is taken from.

Exactly, it's just not taking from the active save (where the game is actually finished).

Hi, i have a problem with the dragon age keep and the export characters in inquisition, my Dragon Age Origins heroes and 2 are not the same as in the "Playthrough States" and in "Editables states" after being uploaded into inquisition,  is this normal ?

It's completely normal. 

DAI only import race, gender, and class from your precedent heroes. Your name and appearance revert to the default one.

But all the choices that you made in the Keep should have stayed the same.

Well, I don't know. But I don't think so.

The point is that it's not important. Your characters first name are never mentionned and when you see Hawke you can personnalize their appearance.

It has absolutely no incidence whatsoever in your playthrough...

Maybe In future games we can get the name but the codex always calls you Hero of Ferelden or Champion of Kirkwall.

To import into a future game? Only if you want to
