well, but we should maybe ask a developer to be sure -_-

Check the Tutorial section for your answer :

http://forum.bioware...through-states/

It says : Please note, custom heroes will show as default in this section, as the game does not read hero info beyond gender, class and race.

So I don't think it will change. And frankly, as I already said, I dont think it should change. It doesn't impact the game.

And the only way for you to know that it reverted to default name/appearance is if you check your playthrough in the Keep...so really there is no problem...

Maybe In future games we can get the name but the codex always calls you Hero of Ferelden or Champion of Kirkwall.

If I remember correctly, your first name never appears in Bioware sequels...

I could be wrong but I don't think that the Hero of Ferelden first name is shown in the Codex in DA2.

And the same in Mass Effect. Your commander is always refered as 'Shepard' and the first name appears only in the squad window...

To import into a future game? Only if you want to

No, i mean, for Inquisition, if we want to get our custom characters heroes from Origins et dragon age 2 in the "Playthrough States" (name, face, etc)

The game's import from the keep wasnt built to recieve the data and I dont think they will ever bother as they can't say the name

Jeremy20 : I really don't understand why it's such a problem for you...

I mean it's not like it has any consequence in the game.

And for futur DA games, you will always be able to put your correct heroes in your editable state.

so, how to explain you.....

i think, this could be a good thing, because we can personalize our own story and fill it with our own characters, and to create really our OWN dragon age's world etc, if you know what i mean. it's a little hard to explain.... :(  but i hope you get it ! :)

And sorry for my bad english !

No no I get it.

But the truth is that you DO create your own personnal story. The World state that you create and then export to DAI has your custom heroes. The fact that DAI doesn't read first name and appearance doesn't mean that they are different heroes.

You can see it like this : DAI read the race, class, and gender of your previous heroes. Since it doesn't read the rest, it fills the blank with default name/appearance. But it doesn't mean that these are not your custom heroes. You can compare it to when we don't know a man identity we refer to him as a 'John Doe'. That doesn't mean that this man doesn't have a real identity, just that you don't know it.

It's the same thing for the game. It doesn't know the identity, but YOU do.

And in a purely technical way, as I said, it changes nothing to the game since it never refers to any of your previous heroes' names. So it wouldn't change the story immersion.

Well..... let us hope the developers regard it so too :)

Exactly, it's just not taking from the active save (where the game is actually finished).

Does anyone know of a way to force the game to take from the active save?

I've finished the game twice over from the Well onwards to try and force Keep into uploading the correct Inquisitor and nothing.

Not a damn thing. It's getting mighty frustrating.

Anyone got any ideas?

This is true. I recall DA2's codex entries never giving the Hero of Ferelden's first name either.

If it helps: another reason not to worry, in addition to what Lucie_J24 said, is that one can customize Hawke's appearance in-game. No, Hawke's custom first name is never mentioned, but you can re-create his or her appearance (except maybe his or her hairstyle, if a match isn't in DAI). Plus, Hawke has the same voice actor/actress. Even better, unlike importing save game information from DAO/DAA/DAO's DLC to DA2, when importing the decisions into a new DAI game via the Keep, they are correctly reflected in-game! So, in-game, it's still your DA world that you helped create. Your custom Hawke's appearance and the choices your Warden and Hawke made, and which you imported into DAI, are preserved.

As for the Keep, while it is kind of annoying that playthrough states don't upload the custom name and image you had in the Keep, there's a way to change the default to custom. Go to World States in the left sidebar, then scroll right to Playthrough States. Select a playthrough state and select "copy to editable". Go to the Editable States and select the playthrough you just copied. Select the "load in Keep" button. Now, at the top of the Editable States section, it should say that the playthrough is loaded into the Keep, so select "edit in tapestry". Once back in the Tapestry, go to the hero section and select the custom Warden and Hawke as you normally would. Now that playthrough state has the custom Heroes' names and their images.

Frankly, I'd like it if we could upload our own images for the heories in the Keep. Take a screenshot of the Warden, Hawke, or Inquisitor, crop the image to just the head, and upload that.

Can I use the keep to transfer an Inquisition playthrough from an old to current gen console, or do I have to start from the beginning again?

1) How do I load a keep without DAI choices? It seems that it is always there. Do i just choose nothing?

2) there are some 'extra' DAI heroes that I have already deleted but still appear in the Heroes in DAI. how do i delete them? understand that I can delete those heroes from DAO and DA2 but not DAI. is that the case?

3) and why did it says i have 4 playthroughs for DAI when i only have 1?

1. always there. DA:I choices don't get imported back into the game.

2. can't be deleted yet.

3. If you have quit the character creator it still counts as a PT

I am unsure if it is better to post here or somewhere else. I am currently having a problem with my dragon keep. I had thought it would auto sync all my saves from all the dragon age games however even though it says it is sync everything that shows is nothing like what I actually did in game. This is for both dragon age origins and its dlc's and dragon age inquisition. I would say the same for dragon age 2 but sadly that is the only game I own but havnt beaten yet. Is there something I can do to fix this problem? Or is it only bioware can.

It doesnt sync saves. You have to select the tiles that represent what decisions you made in the games

I just got 2 Questions are B-Ware going to add the Last Courts choices to the Keep allowing us to tweak them and more importantly are they going to ever add the Orelesian Warden Commander option from Awakening?

Hi guys can somebody help me?

I saw that there was a new update so I want on dragon Age keep and now I can't change/edit my wordstates anymore.

Every time I want to change to another world state the page just keeps loading.

Also I only have 2 world states and for some reason It says I have 3.

I also don't have the option to hide/show spoilers anymore.

I am so confused right now because i had no problems with the keep before and now all af the sudden i have these problems.

Ps: Sorry for my bad english
