I don't want to sound mean, but...

Why exactly do we need a tile for Ginnis in DA2? That bugged me since I first saw the keep.

I don't think it's possible to let her live when bringing Saemus back, right? So why would we need to confirm the same thing twice?

Submit a suggestion that the tiles be consolidated.

Remember that atm, we're limited to 6 world states. If you already have 6 , that's it, sadly.

If not, there should be a little "+" next to "Saved World States". That's the button you want.

I've not been through all 56 pages so apologies if this had been addressed (not on known issues thread)

 

I've just tried to have a Dwarven warden rule with Anora but it says it conflicts with the 'didn't recuit dog' state? Is this a quest issue or a Keep bug? I can't see any normal correlation between those two?

To marry anora, Warden must be a Cousland (human noble).

Cousland always finishes the Origin with the family Mabari.

So, not a bug. But the Keep should also tell you to choose a Cousland/change Origin if you're trying to marry Anora with a Dwarf noble.

Beside "SAVED WORLD STATES" click on +

"New world state X" should appear below (X being number 1,2 etc). Select it to modify it.

Managed to get a world state finally without the automatic unannounced changes listed in the thread already. But now it changes Flemeths grimoire to never found each time I login/out. Reported it, did anyone else get this?

There still looking at making a few of the choices stick, all  the new ones have the same problem for me.

At the end of the ISS, it shows if a Warden married Alistair and became queen. Does it show if the Warden becomes his mistress? o: I'm wondering because I've yet to see it happen.

 

No because it's not about that. It's only about who became ruler of Ferelden.

 

One thing I'm confused about is how would Wardens who would have become Alistair's mistress but died killing the Archdemon fit on the Alistair/Warden fate slide?

 

"Aren't lovers" sounds like they were never together and the option about Alistair ending the relationship because of Royal Obligations makes it sound like his choice.

Well, kind of but again, what matters is the state at the END of the game... so you can say "Romanced Alistair" so then it's obvious you were with him, but since you are dead you are "NOT LOVERS" which means current world state.  Just like if your wife is dead IRL, you are not lovers.  You WERE lovers in the past, but you are not now because she is dead..  That's how it is with Alistair and the Warden.

Normally that would seem the answer, but with the inclusion of a "Didn't remain Alistair's mistress" seems to complicate matters. I tried both slides and neither of them conflict with the Dead Warden/Romanced King Alistair combo.

Maybe you can select that the warden didn't become his mistress, that way it at least makes sense?   That tile has so many problems with it...

But it's unclear whether that's the intention of the slide, I figured it was also end game but I can see any future game getting confused between "Romanced Alistair" and "Warden & Alistair weren't lovers" The logic doesn't make sense from a programming perspective.

So much of that tile can be fixed just via description alteration though. Another possible fix: "Warden and Alistair weren't lovers or did not remain so"

 

Then

Romance + King = Already Covered in all instances

Romance + Warden = Already Covered

Romance + Death = Covered by Altered Tile

Romance + Exile = Covered by Altered Tile

No Romance + King, Warden, Death, or Exile = Covered Altered Tile

That's absolutely true, but since we don't know the intent of the slide for sure we don't know if it's supposed to account for that possibility or not. I remember thinking the same for several other slides as well.

I've been seeing a lot of the same questions getting asked, so I threw together a brief overview of the Keep to help answer some of the most burning ones.

 

 

I obtained official permission to include the footage of the Keep and it doesn't go beyond anything that's already been revealed so DO NOT do that yourself unless you have checked with the team. :)

It does, but for many players he is still "the character they romanced" even if he wasn't there at the end, no? If you romanced Tali and then she died, you still "romanced Tali". There is no conflict in the auto-solver between "Romanced Alistair" and "Alistair became a drunk".

To me 'Romanced' tile only points at the lasting and ongoing romance (if any). Following your logic they should've added a possible 'broken romance' for each and every companion, so that players who cheated on Zevran with Leliana to dump her later for the sake of becoming royal bastard's lover and Ferelden queen could express their state of worlds better. :)  I'm not saying that variety is necessarily a bad thing, but system should have some sort of reasonable limits.

To add on to this - there are a lot of new Keepers now, and we highly recommend you check out the Dos and Don'ts of Talking About the Keep post if you're not sure what you can/can't say or show.

For the first time (due to time constraints and working schedule) I was able to really delve into the workings of The Keep. For now, the only issues I've encountered are regarding choices I make regarding world states, the other is just a minor complaint.

 

So far, I like The Keep very much, but when trying to go to my social.bioware page and synch my games to get to the profile diagnostics aspect, I simply get a white page (yes I read the entry here regarding what to do with that) and refreshing the page does not help. NO big deal, I know you wonderful folks are working through this :). So for now, I am unsure if I am getting my world state, though it seems to list my selections of previously created characters that I've made when I logon to The Keep.

 

The minor complaint I have is when making choices, I run into a conflict and it gives me a list of all of the choices I've made, but it didn't express which was the conflict.

 

Apologies if any aspect of this post is irrelevant to this thread, so please feel free to edit/move as you see fit. :)

As you already noticed, syncing is being worked on, but that being said, your story decisions will *not* import. Only your characters gender, class, and race will port over. That and the little 2D avatar image. You have to enter the decisions for each Warden and Hawke manually.

I understand that my choices do not import and my character can (though my previous post indicates otherwise), but the choices I made in The Keep have conflicts. While I don't have a problem with the conflicts, the issue of resolving them is tedious. Instead of reflecting the conflict(s) directly, it gives me a list of all of the choices I've made without indicating which is the conflict. I then have to unlock each choice until I get it right.

 

Sorry if I confused anyone with my previous post.

There are some specific choices that still reset, hopefully they'll be fixed soon (reported every single one) Can't wait until they're done with the maintenance/fixing.
I fought and beat Flemeth dang it, don't take this from me!

Other than that things are looking good.

I wasn't sure where to put this -- I am unable to create bug reports. The feedback box pops up, and I can select how it makes me feel, but the dropdown menu disappears as soon as it is selected, meaning I can't choose between x/Bug/x. I guess this is probably low priority because I'm accessing the Keep from Linux/Opera 12.16 which is probably not a common configuration, but I could have worked around this if I'd had keyboard access to the dropdown menu, but I couldn't tab into it (or anywhere else in the Keep). I will try in Chrome and update this post.

 

EDIT: It's working fine in Chrome 37.0.2062.120 (64-bit).

Hi all, sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find this issue specifically when I did a few searches.

 

So when I'm altering my world state for DAII, I've reached Zevran's section in act 3 and run into an issue. Zevran survived DA:O fine, but when I try to change my choice to "Hawke let Zevran go", the Keep keeps trying to tell me I need to drastically alter my DA:O world state in order for this to occur. Apparently, for Zevran to survive through DAII I need to have Morrigan never do the ritual with Alistair and have my Warden die at the end of DA:O.

 

Am I missing something here, or is this a bug? I didn't think the Warden's survival had anything to do with Zevran popping up in DAII.

 

ETA: That whole section seems to have the same issues, actually, since editing Nuncio's tile has the same effect.

When working on the Tapestry and attempting to submit feedback it's allowing me to click "Visit the Forum" and "Tapestry Tutorial", but clicking "Submit Feedback" does absolutely nothing, am I doing something wrong?  Is this not an option yet? This is my first day on the Beta, so I'm sorry if this has been addressed and I haven't found the post yet.  :?
