I feel like I am missing something...  Is it really only the 7 main tabs for Dragon Age 2 and 15 main tabs for Dragon Age Origins?  Just seems there is so much missing.

In general DAO has a lot more content and choices that have actual results (via the epilog or big carryover choices) than DA2. This isn't a knock on DA2, I've played it happily several times, but it is a smaller game; smaller in scope and in actual play hours.

I've noticed that occasionally "Alistair had an Old God Baby with Morrigan" sometimes reverts to "Warden had an Old God Baby with Morrigan" although not as commonly as the others.

I've seen that as well re: OGB, even if the hero is female. Some choice tiles should just disappear/black out once the hero is locked in.

Didn't think this was possible: Alistair kills Loghain in the duel and then marries Anora? I thought she refused to marry him if he killed Loghain? Or does she only refuse if it happens afterwards rather than in the duel?

That happened to me once on Friday as a female Warden.  :P

If Alistair is hardened and the Warden arranges a marriage between Alistair and Anora, Loghain can live.

Hello there ;) I'm having the same issues with the keep not remembering some of my choices from both games. But there is one thing that makes me wonder, but maybe I'm just ignorant or what. How is it possible that the eluvian remains intact and Merrill's clan survives? I have a strong feeling that I missed something ;)

That scenario is possible, you just need a high enough friendship with Merrill to first blame her for everything that happened to the Keeper (and thus force her into exile with you rather than being attacked straight up by the clan), then convince her that she was right in what she did and thus keep the mirror intact.

It's also possible to simply not do Merril's Act 3 quest, which results in essentially the same outcome. She does not try to contact the demon/spirit without Hawkes help, isn't confronted by her clan over that, and so has no reason to smash the mirror afterwards. This is the route my extremely anti-blood-magic Hawke took.

Will the keep feature a codex system because new players might struggle with understanding characters background and so on.

Who is this? Whats his/ hers story and so on.

And when i mean new players i mean those who dont want to play from the beginning at DAO to DA 2. But jump straight to DAI.

It could become a problem when players dont have all the information

The " ? " button is suppose to give context to the choices they're making. I don't think they want to mention too much, just enough to possibly entice people who haven't played to possibly buy the game and for those who do play, give a quick refresher. If they really wanted to understand everything there's always the Wiki and youtube.

Yes, I know, but that isn't the issue. :)  The issue is, under companions I selected "Alistair kills Loghain in a duel" and then under Landsmeet I selected "Alistair and Anora rule" without getting a prompt to change the first option. This isn't a valid world state since Anora refuses to marry the man (Warden or Alistair) who kills her father. When I go back to that world state, I get prompted to change it, sometimes to "Alistair rules", sometimes to "Anora rules", but it doesn't conflict at the time of selection. I reported it as a bug.

I'd highly advise those players NOT to use the keep. In fact, I'd add some big bright spoiler-warning somewhere before the Tapestry.

They are going to heavily spoil the DA2 ending and some  of DAO surprises as well. Some might not entirely realize what's what before it's too late. They do not know anything about those names and choices anyway. Who's Javaris? Who's Old God Baby?

I've heard Bioware recently added DAI choices to Keep. Any chances to see it ?

Thats the thing people tend to take the easy path. Its common human behaviour.

In this case would you spend money and play throughboth games or do you use a simple and free application that allows you to recap both games.

Which is why a codex system is required

It isn't recent, they've planned on DAI choices to be added to the Keep even since the Keep was on the drawing board. Besides you know the answer to that question, they wouldn't show any DAI choices before DAI is released. :P

Except they've been showing off the romance tiles for all the LI in DAI with Cass, Blackwall, Iron Bull and Josie currently available to be seen, they haven't shown any others. They'll show moreLI  tiles during the Keep Q&A next friday.

I would think skipping Merrils Act 3 quest would lead to a broken world state where the Keeper is now an abomination who slaughters the clan.

Its not just the "easy path", its also the path of people who never played a DA game before and don't want to commit like 100+ hours just to get the back story for a game they may not like.  If they like DAI and decide to go back to DAO / 2 then I think that is a good thing.  It doesn't really mean that they can't enjoy the lore of the game without playing the game.

That´s why they made the ISS, so they can have the full story so far without playing the games, and that´s why there are predetermined options on the tapestry, so you can check those options and have some meaning IF they appear in DAI, you want to mess around with them you can do it, but if you want to know all details then you REALLY have to buy both games (i´m guessing that´s why they´ve uploaded DAO to the Origin platform).

That might be true, but where can you buy the original games now? They are out of print.  I know that you could do them digital download via Origin, but then are they on the Playstation Store and Microsoft Marketplace as a package deal, or would it literally be pay full price for Origins, then full price for all the DLC cause they like have just the base game, not the "Ultimate" package? Cause unless you get it used, Dragon Age Origins Ultimate is no longer made in physical form, pretty sure Dragon Age 2 isn't either.

I know cause I was thinking about getting them on the PS3 (I have the PC versions) but GameStop told me they don't have any used copies in stock right now, and cannot get them new.

Well, maybe not a "broken world state" but I think that the Keep considers that an important quest and so assumes you did it.    So, I'd say either you do the quest and then you have your results, or you didn't do the quest, so the Keeper goes abomination and the clan manages to kill her, so they live.  Either way, she's dead.  In general I think the companion quests it's assumed you didn't purposely skip out on them.

Thats a limitation with the browser itself not able to support html5

Oh, is that the problem with the PS3 also? Hell, wonder if that's the problem with Firefox.  Kind of annoys me that to get the Keep to run properly I have to have Chrome, I prefer Firefox.

It is 2014, the internet is no longer a scary place to buy games. If you're looking for a physical copy they're usually the best way to go and cheaper. Plus new players may or may not care about getting all the DLC. PC DA:O is free download right now (I think) so it's not like the vanilla game is expensive. If you still thinking brick and mortar check out your local area for places that sale games besides gamestop. At least where I am, there's a place that sales hard to find games for very cheap.

The other side is if they really cared they won't mind paying full price.

In my area Gamestop is the only place that sells new games older than six months and yes I've checked the internet every time I've gone to buy a game and after shipping and handling, it was still always cheaper just to drive down to my local Gamestop and grab the game, not to mention that EVERY SINGLE TIME I've preordered a game from anyone other than Gamestop, I've gotten screwed over in some way and had to end up buying it from them anyway, but then I missed out on the pre-order bonus (except TDU2, which they had just had a cancellation so he gave me the preorder when I told him the massive fubar that Atari had put me through (and it got worse when they said TWO WEEKS LATER "Oh hi, we have now shipped your two copies!" WTF? TWO COPIES? THEY canceled the first one (I recieved an email that there wasw a problem with my order and it was canceled, if I still wanted the game I could preorder it again) and I canceled the 2nd one when they hadn't even shipped it on the street date yet... "oh it's impossible to cancel a preorder" )

That said, when it comes to console games, I really prefer discs to downloads usually.  I know that with GTAV there are issues with the digital version, where running the game entirely off the hard drive causes massive hits to the quality, especially when driving at high speed.  You can Google and find the video by Digital Foundry, they have a side-by-side comparison on the same PS3, just one side is the disc and the other side is the digital download.  Then later they show you the same PS3 after they put back in the original launch 60GB PS3 drive, and at 2:59 watching the video I cringed... So yeah, that's why I still prefer discs, cause sorry but a Blu-ray player is faster than an hard drive for streaming data the amounts of data it takes to drive at high speed in games like GTAV.

For the first couple of hours in my time of the Keep, it kept insisting the same thing.

That's been smoothed out.  No new bugs today, thankfully.  Just having the new choices not sticking, but I know an update is coming in a day or two.

I hope there will be a solution to this as well I have a PC but I usually use my 360 to get online and The Keep not working on 360 sucks.
