It is 2014, the internet is no longer a scary place to buy games. If you're looking for a physical copy they're usually the best way to go and cheaper. Plus new players may or may not care about getting all the DLC. PC DA:O is free download right now (I think) so it's not like the vanilla game is expensive. If you still thinking brick and mortar check out your local area for places that sale games besides gamestop. At least where I am, there's a place that sales hard to find games for very cheap.
The other side is if they really cared they won't mind paying full price.
In my area Gamestop is the only place that sells new games older than six months and yes I've checked the internet every time I've gone to buy a game and after shipping and handling, it was still always cheaper just to drive down to my local Gamestop and grab the game, not to mention that EVERY SINGLE TIME I've preordered a game from anyone other than Gamestop, I've gotten screwed over in some way and had to end up buying it from them anyway, but then I missed out on the pre-order bonus (except TDU2, which they had just had a cancellation so he gave me the preorder when I told him the massive fubar that Atari had put me through (and it got worse when they said TWO WEEKS LATER "Oh hi, we have now shipped your two copies!" WTF? TWO COPIES? THEY canceled the first one (I recieved an email that there wasw a problem with my order and it was canceled, if I still wanted the game I could preorder it again) and I canceled the 2nd one when they hadn't even shipped it on the street date yet... "oh it's impossible to cancel a preorder" )
That said, when it comes to console games, I really prefer discs to downloads usually. I know that with GTAV there are issues with the digital version, where running the game entirely off the hard drive causes massive hits to the quality, especially when driving at high speed. You can Google and find the video by Digital Foundry, they have a side-by-side comparison on the same PS3, just one side is the disc and the other side is the digital download. Then later they show you the same PS3 after they put back in the original launch 60GB PS3 drive, and at 2:59 watching the video I cringed... So yeah, that's why I still prefer discs, cause sorry but a Blu-ray player is faster than an hard drive for streaming data the amounts of data it takes to drive at high speed in games like GTAV.
