Oh, is that the problem with the PS3 also? Hell, wonder if that's the problem with Firefox.  Kind of annoys me that to get the Keep to run properly I have to have Chrome, I prefer Firefox.

I run it on firefox and, with a couple of exceptions (already reported them), works fine.

I exclusively use FF, never had to use Chrome to run the Keep, or any other website for that matter. What is your problem with FF and Keep?

The PS3 and 360s browsers do in fact have HTML5 capabilities, but not any of the capabilities that the Keep needs so that is kind of moot lol (Funny enough, my Vita can run the Keep)

My primary browser is Netscape Navigator 9, and I usually use Internet Explorer when I run into compatibility issues, but for almost everything HTML5 (which is something I hate, btw) I use Chrome.

That´s why they made the ISS, so they can have the full story so far without playing the games, and that´s why there are predetermined options on the tapestry, so you can check those options and have some meaning IF they appear in DAI, you want to mess around with them you can do it, but if you want to know all details then you REALLY have to buy both games (i´m guessing that´s why they´ve uploaded DAO to the Origin platform).

When i do a review i always picture myself to be a person that has never played the games at all. In this case the ISS is doing a good thing of the choices it presents. But the rest of the 200 decisions are left out. So a new player has to guess which decision To take.

So at each tapestry it should be more context and a codex part at the sides that are the same for the game. Not every single codex, bu those that has aconnection at each tapestry. For example at companion part.

Who is leliana, wynne, sten and allistair. Why should i reclaim the sword and so on, etc.

Paragon of her kind: who is harrowmont and behlen detailed codex, story of orzammar etc.

Codex that only refers each tapestry

Ironic that the best game is for free and not the second one

I have an idea.  Perhaps requesting a link to say, an official source to the characters on the side.  Like say, a person doesn't remember exactly who Leliana was.  When you click the question mark, maybe have a link that will take the person to her character bio on the official page?  Something like that maybe.  The summation of the choices when you click on the question mark does help those that have the games in more recent memory, but it won't help anyone brand new to the series.

That could be an interesting feature actually. Suggest it! :)

I've been fiddling with the keep for 3 days now, just creating world states. I notice however, after switching world states, some of my choices reverted back to the default state without the keep telling me. Several that I've encountered more than twice:

1. Hawke (I choose FRogue) reverts to FWarrior.

2. Cullen and Hawke relationship (I picked friends, it reverted back to non-friends)

3. Didn't acquire grimoire when I picked killed Flemeth and got the grimoire

4. Ohgren and Felsi's relationships was set to did not help when I chose to reunite them

5. Kitty was set to "not met" when I killed it.

These options always get reverted, regardless whether I locked it or not

Are these included as the "Decisions in newly added plots will reset, even if you locked your choice"?

Also got stuck after messing with the keep: Locked a world state, then went to debug options. Since I never uploaded any play-through, it said to pick a hero, but this time I couldn't because the world is locked, and then I got stuck on the same page (reloading gives me the same page instead of quitting debug). Wont there be a "cancel debug" button?

I'm new in beta tests, so I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen.

Well, it's not supposed to happen, but as we're in beta, it's up to us to let them know it does happen so they can fix it. Yes, those are the decisions that are reverting for some reason. They'll get fixed. However, I still recommend reporting them via the feedback tool regardless.

Maybe testers who've been in the keep longer then the F&F and colour update can tell us if new tiles always were like this at first.

I've been in since July and this is the first round of new tiles to do this that I'm aware of. ^^

Is anyone else having an issue signing into The Keep. When I go to log in, it does a loading wheel then just reverts me back to the login screen. I'm using my Surface tablet if that has something to do with it! However this was not a previous issue.

Sorry if this is obvious but how do I get back to the import hero screen? When I first logged in I seemed to have trouble getting my Origin stuff to load at all, it didn't recognize my acheivments or any of my Wardens, I wanted to try it again today but it defaulted me to the tapestry screen. :(

Ugh, this stupid bug makes my female Warden do the dark ritual with Morrigan over and over again (instead of Alistair). I hope they'll fix it because otherwise, geez...

You can redo it by clicking on the top left icon and then selecting [Debug] Replay On boarding (or something along those lines). No point in doing so right now though since synching is still down so you won't get anything from DAO.

Its not just the "easy path", its also the path of people who never played a DA game before and don't want to commit like 100+ hours just to get the back story for a game they may not like.  If they like DAI and decide to go back to DAO / 2 then I think that is a good thing.  It doesn't really mean that they can't enjoy the lore of the game without playing the game.

Yepper, agree completely. It has nothing to do with being lazy, someone might have no desire to play older games but still might want to see different paths in DAI. DG said that if you did the Dark Ritual that the choice "won't be ignored" and "have more than a passing reference in DAI." IMO that's pretty significant and a new player might want to tinker with the choices in the Keep to see the variable outcomes in DAI.

Part of the purpose of the Keep is so that people are not required to play previous games.

As far as a codex goes, I don't think it's necessary. The Keep has a description of the quest that's satisfactory for the most part. If a player wants to delve deeper into the implications of the quest or other lore aspects the DAwiki is always there for that purpose. I am a big advocate of accommodating new players to a franchise and doing things to reduce confusion -- it was part of my Keep Beta application --, but BioWare doesn't have to spoon feed everything to those players. There ARE other resources available and if they are really interested a minor  amount of effort (read: a simple Google search) is needed to find out some things.

That might be true, but where can you buy the original games now? They are out of print.  I know that you could do them digital download via Origin, but then are they on the Playstation Store and Microsoft Marketplace as a package deal, or would it literally be pay full price for Origins, then full price for all the DLC cause they like have just the base game, not the "Ultimate" package? Cause unless you get it used, Dragon Age Origins Ultimate is no longer made in physical form, pretty sure Dragon Age 2 isn't either.

I know cause I was thinking about getting them on the PS3 (I have the PC versions) but GameStop told me they don't have any used copies in stock right now, and cannot get them new.

In my area Gamestop is the only place that sells new games older than six months and yes I've checked the internet every time I've gone to buy a game and after shipping and handling, it was still always cheaper just to drive down to my local Gamestop and grab the game, not to mention that EVERY SINGLE TIME I've preordered a game from anyone other than Gamestop, I've gotten screwed over in some way and had to end up buying it from them anyway...

Well I'm sorry this is the case for you where you live, but it doesn't apply to everyone. On Amazon you can buy ALL three types (PC disc, Xbox 360, PS3, as well as PC download) of DAO Ultimate Edition and DA2 (standard). I've been preordering games and expansions from them for many years and have never had a problem. Ever.

I would think skipping Merrils Act 3 quest would lead to a broken world state where the Keeper is now an abomination who slaughters the clan.

Well, maybe not a "broken world state" but I think that the Keep considers that an important quest and so assumes you did it.    So, I'd say either you do the quest and then you have your results, or you didn't do the quest, so the Keeper goes abomination and the clan manages to kill her, so they live.  Either way, she's dead.  In general I think the companion quests it's assumed you didn't purposely skip out on them.

Oh jeeez, I hope you guys aren't serious! That would be awful, and never occurred to me as a possible outcome. Keeper Marethari appeared to be alive and well at the end of the game where I didn't help Merril. It seems to me Marethari would only become the abomination in the instance where she knows Merril is on her way to deal with the demon. I think if she wiped out her whole clan, that would be too big an event to go unnoticed in DA2, and not to be mentioned in the Keep. I did submit a plot-request to add the option of "Hawke did not help Merril repair the eluvian", and I guess could accept the idea of Marethari having become an abomination and been dealt with by her clan, for the sake of simplification of plot threads, but I'd much rather the actual state of my game be reflected.

*Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, the tapestry does allow for decisions like "Did not help Allistair find Goldanna" and "Did not help Lilliana find Marjolaine" and "Fenris alive but still pursued by Danarius", so it doesn't seem completely unreasonable to ask that the option "Did not help Merril complete the eluvian" be available.

The wording needs to be careful since you can play a Hawke trying to talk Merril out of it and never gave her the arulin'holm yet still did the quest. I would assume this tile would apply to not doing "A New Path" at all so something like "Refused to aid Merril in consorting with the demon?"

Or it can be like Fenris's tile where he's still pursued which implies his quest in Act 2 and/or 3 wasn't completed. So in that case it could be "Merril alive yet still in a deal with a demon"

Hello.  Just got on Friday (after Sync coming down), but have been playing around with default hero settings and world state.

One thing I noticed is there does not seem to be anyway at the moment to have default hero for Awakening separate from Origins if you pick Warden Died.  I understood that the whole UltSac/Awakening situation was meant be to be resolved in the Keep, but perhaps this feature just has not been added yet?  Was it available before sync turning off if you had OGW's on your LBSN profile?

There's actually been some talk about adding the OW here and whether they are going to add them or not in time. I think the general consensus is we really want them to add the OW, but it's unknown whether they'll be in the Keep by the time DAI comes out.

In the game itself Merrill does (physically) repair the Eluvian regardless of whether you give her the arulin'holm or not, and the Act 3 quest A New Path is also available either way. Also, it makes no difference whether you help Merrill or hinder her, the end result is the same: the mirror is physically complete but doesn't work as an Eluvian, only a standard mirror. So, the Eluvian is never complete and that can't really be an option in the Keep.

She can also shatter it of course, but that option is already in the Keep.

Actually, now that I'm looking again, there are four different panels relating to Merrill, all with yes/no/binary options.

Did Merrill stay with Hawke? (y/n)

Is she alive/dead?

Did she destroy the Eluvian? (y/n)

Was her clan killed? (y/n)

So I'm not really sure what else is needed unless you want a roleplay type of choice to declare whether or not your Hawke helped her during all of this, similar to the "Did Hawke approve of Anders's actions at the Chantry?" tile. In that case they would need to add another tile just for that because it doesn't fit in with any of the other options, making five  total just for one companion.

Random question: does anyone else wish in-game Isabela had the same hair as her Keep tiles? I really like the one where it's flowing behind as she's running. Damn you engine hair limitations! *shakes fist*

actually her romance tile make me wish her bandana was for sale, but I like that it shows her hair is more of a wavy texture and not straight like DA2 did.

Interesting. I assumed it was a given after all the 'Keep is intended to resolve all previous import issues' and 'All DLC are assumed to have happened whether you played them or not' over on the main DAI forum.

Poor Ultimate Sacrifice...

that's part of the debate, we assume that if you did the ultimate sacrifice, the OW is obviously the one who did the DLC so they exist, but the question is the specifics of the OW warden such as whether they were a mage or an elf, what was his/her name, whether you can import your OW warden.
