I just got into the beta so I'm not sure if this has been answered yet, I'm still reading through all of the forum posts.

Is there any way to keep Alistair and your Warden alive? Does Morrigan's Ritual play into any of this? Because I'm trying to create a save state similar to my game where I executed Loghain, hardened Alistair and put him on the throne, then did Morrigan's Ritual and lived. But it says that in order to have Alistair be king or stay with the Wardens, my Warden would have to have died killing the Archdemon. Even to make Alistair a drunk I would have to keep Loghain alive to kill the Archdemon.

So, is performing Morrigan's Ritual not considered canon? Because it seems like that's the case.

Look under companions and the Morrigan's baby tile, that's the one you want for the ritual.

I did.

  • Warden alive and slayed the Archdemon. Did Dark Ritual.
  • Anora + Alistair.
  • Loghain redeemed.
  • Alistair Hardened (No choices for it yet) (But he's automatically hardened)

The default choice when a new world state is created is that the Dark Ritual didn't happen.   You need to go in and set it (in the Companions' set of tiles, on the far right) to say if the Warden, Alistair or Loghain had the OGB with Morrigan in order to not have those conflicting states.

Okay, so I'm not forced to change whether or not my Warden's alive if Morrigan's tile is selected to have done the ritual. That makes sense now. I feel like that should be more obvious in the Tapestry, because until I got to that tile it seemed like it wasn't giving me a choice to give both Alistair and myself good outcomes. It kept only trying to force me to kill my Warden to fix the conflict, not approve of performing the ritual. I feel like it should show that choice to change the defualt for the ritual to change the conflicting state.

But thank you for clarifying. :)

This seems to be one of the first things that stumps people (I know it confused me at first until I dug all the way through the sub-menus) because the natural inclination is to start left to right and top to bottom in populating your choices, so you get to all those others before the Dark Ritual tile within the Companions section, which often leads to conflicting states.

It used to, there's a bug going around where a good number of tiles arn't being triggered by the autosolver. Before the update two weeks ago that added the ISS, if you select "Warden is alive and well" at the very beginning when selecting your hero, it should auto solve to either the Warden did the ritual or Alistair did and give you the choice to whether you want to change it.

Question!

So in Dragon age 2 at/in act 1 on the docks you can choose between killing the last heir of the harrowmont line or kill the carta tugs if the player in dragon age origins chose to put prince Belen on the throne.

Shouldn't this choice be in the tapestry? since you pretty much decide if an entire dwarven clan is destroyed or not, or maybe it is, but I can't seem to find it?

ya a lot of known bugs already listed has happened in keep when i use it.

Though i hope they give us the option to determine if "the Warden Killed or Did not kill the High Dragon" in the Sacred Ashes part of DAO since there are multiple endings for the Sacred Ashes with the High Dragon death or staying alive playing a big part for the Sacred Ashes ending in DAO Epilogue.

A lot of choices are missing from the tapestry, so if you want your favorites to show up, enough people need to request it. That quest is listed as a side quest in DA2 and very few of those made it into the keep unlike the secondary quests which were a bit more important and most of those showed up.

The Last of Harrowmont's Line thing has actually come up multiple times recently in the "What plot would you like to see?" thread. I would recommend voicing support for it there as well if you think it's Keep-worthy.

In DA:O is it possible to romance Zevran but also kill him (for instance when he betrays you in Denerim?).  His romance is so quick (well, the steamy bits are anyways) so I figured it would be.  I tried this on the Tapestry and when I change it to reflect Zevran's death, it takes away my romance.  Just wanted to double check before I reported anything.

EDIT:  Nevermind, I realized if you romanced him, he must like you enough not to betray you.

ISS is very buggy for me too. But I can't get passed redcliff, and there are numerous cut offs in the audio and when the audio does come back its Varric saying two things at once, overlapping. The ISS also seems to play faster than the audio. And I'm viewing it from a Windows phone. I suspect other people have reported it, however I'll still send it in feedback. I too have problems with the choices resetting even though I locked them. But they consist of who had baby with Morrigan and if Zev survived.

There is nothing about Velanna and Sigrun in the Keep. Does that mean, that we will hear nothing about them in Inquisition?

The Keep assumes when you romance someone your still romancing them at the very end of the game/to completion. If you kill him then you technically failed. Also if you killed him in denerim despite sleeping with him, the game's status never reached 'love' which required at least 90 in friendship and for specific dialogue choices to be met.

It's assumed that any plot points that are going to show up in DAI would have been added to the Keep long time ago to give the devs time to test whether the plot flag triggers an other bugs. So it's unlikely they will, but if they're added later to the Keep, they may show up in DLC or another DA game.

Realized some of that after I posted.  But thanks for clarifying the details on that!

Also, I've really just been spending time trying to do things I shouldn't be able to on the Keep and here I've got something else I wanna check to make sure I'm not forgetting something.

From what I seemed to understand, the Keep only wants one romance from DA:O.  So I've set my warden to romancing Zevran and then changed Alistair's stuff to "Remains Alistair's Mistress."  It prompted me to change the gender from male to female to be with Alistair but didn't take away my Zevran romance.

So bug or no bug?

Bug, the whole tile pertaining to Alistair's relationship with the Warden is buggy and badly worded so there will be some conflicts. Also to note a lot of tiles that used to autosolve aren't solving like they're suppose to. It happened after the last update. This includes almost every tile relating to Zevran.

Thanks!  I did the same thing for Leliana and the same thing happened, so I guess I'll go ahead and report and try to go and break more things, haha

Howdy all! Not sure if this has been a common thing with the BSN transitions and all, but I hadn't seen it in the first few dozens of pages, so wanted to ask.

After having read all the inssues with sync, I wanted to make sure everything was hunky dory with my Origins information. Lo and behold, I go over to check my game info, and for some reason, all my Dragon Age: Origins data is missing. It doesn't even show that I've registered the game or any of the DLCs. DA2 seems intact, but it's as if I've never played DA:O. Should I be alarmed by this, or does it just have to do with the read-only BSN changes?

Also, I apologize if this is not the place to be asking this specific question. LOL
