Let's say you never played DAO or DA2 (or you have but that that moment there are some synch problems :P) and you try to create World State from scratch ... is there a way to rename the default hero? If I remember correctly you can't choose surnames, even in the game, but I know you can rename your hero. But trying to rename it in the keep it's either not possible or I'm missing something :D

Not at the moment no, but they're looking into doing this in the future.

Am I the only one experiencing issues where my selections for all the recently-added choices don't save?

Every other choice works fine.

Nope, I'm getting that as well. And several others have mentioned it earlier, I think.

That sounds like either a few specific tiles (Kitty, Goldana and a few others we added) that are not saving, or for all tiles (if you are on PS4)

If it's something else, like having all changes revert on Chrome or Safari, it may be a new bug.

Does the tapesty not cover anything involved with Lelianna's Song or Golems of Amgarrak?

Neither games really had any moments where you make a choice (except one in Leliana's song I think) so no reason to add them.

Has there been any updates on PS3 compatibility? I read something about it having to do with the Xbox 360 and the PS3 don't support HTML5 or something? Anyone know for sure that's the issue, and if a fix for the 360/PS3 is in the works?

Also, again I say plz Bioware fix Firefox issues, I much prefer the cute fox to the technicolor pokeball.

I have reviewed the posts/answers in this thread, and gone and checked my BSN account, but I'm afraid that I am still confused by a number of issues and I have some (probably extremely dumb) questions:

1) I played both DA:O and DA2 - and all of the associated DLC for both games - on the PS3. Currently, when I log into BSN, my DA2 profile shows up, but no profile for DA:O exists at all. There is also a note saying that this information is now "read only". Does that mean that I should not bother loading up my old DA:O game on my PS3 and attempting to get it to "re-sync" my save game to BSN? Will this ever work again or have I lost the chance to get my old DA:O data into the "system".

2) Even though my DA2 profile shows up in BSN, when I log into the Keep and do the "debug", the system finds my DA2 achievements and DLC content, but does not find my character. Is this a glitch with the Keep or or is my profile/save data screwed up?

3) My understanding is that I have to manually input all of my decisons from all of the games and the DLC through the tapestry. However, to be bluntly honest, I do not remember about 85% of the events of the first game. While I remember the broad outlines (banged Morrigan, knocked her up with the god-child etc.) I do not know the answer to most of these qeustions. Is there any way to see a "log" or record of our choices in our saves?

Any advice or guidance on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi hatenchaos -

The issue about DAO is expected - we've disabled syncing in the Keep for a while, so no new data (heroes, etc) will show.  Part of that work was, as you noted, marking the BSN read-only, so you can't use those tools.  However, your characters should still be uploading and saved as you play, so we can pull the data in the Keep, once syncing is re-enabled.

For the other issue you mention, about not remembering exactly what you did - personally, I view it as "if I can't remember, it doesn't matter".  DAO/DA2 have a log of what you did for some choices, but also have some known bugs for some quests .  If you don't want to use those logs, I would personally enter and lock in the high-level choices you can remember and want to retain, and then pick whichever other plot choices you find most interesting - the Keep doesn't force you to choose what you *did do, so feel free to create a world with what you would *like to have done.

Really hope the syncing issue gets fixed after the data from Legacy is moved to the Keep, which should fix it hypothetically since the Keep will be syncing with data that is already within itself and not from a separate website. Just makes me wonder if the Keep will be ready to go live this month as planned, if not I could see it being delayed to at least the first week of November.

I think moving the data is what will fix it.

So I'm getting the common bugs in the ISS (changing Warden class, female Warden impregnating Morrigan, Meeran/Athenril pictures switched, etc.) but my main concern is the impression that some of the narration would be a bit confusing to a newbie - for example, Varric never mentions who Loghain actually is, just that he betrays Cailan (and a bit later that he's on the throne). We, having played DAO, know that he was a respected general, but I was under the impression that Keep is supposed to act as a gateway for people new to the series. A couple of extra words in the voiceover to make Loghain's role clearer would've gone a long way. A little extra clarification on the role of the Chantry, Circle and Templars (just a line or two in the Broken Circle recap) would also make things a lot easier to understand, and I think a few words describing the Qun as the ideology/religion of the Qunari would smooth over the jump into Seamus converting and the city being forced to "submit to the Qun".

Perhaps I'm underestimating people's capacity for inference though; any Keepers here who are new to the series? I'd love to be put straight because overall I really like the ISS and the feeling that it relies slightly on prior knowledge is a niggling concern.

Also, was there ever an option for Hawke that let you choose whether Varric's description of her was accurate when he first talked to Cassandra (i.e. default or custom Hawke)? I vaguely remember hearing something like that was in the Keep but certainly haven't found it.

Sorry for quoting a long post, but I completely agree with the sentiment that there are a lot of context pieces missing in the ISS and also in the tile selection areas. For the newbies coming to the series at DA:I, many of the questions will make little sense. Kinda like guessing in a multiple choice question test you didn't study for, lol. It'd be great to include additional context, in the Keep to further engage the new players who want to try out alternate world states. With launch imminent, clearly this is a longer-term suggestion.

I think partly it's down to that how much context is needed? A whole description of the quest? Thats a lot of words and the wiki already has all the details and possible paths

I know that this is pretty much a straight "no" now, but - will there be a Save World State equivalent for DA:O -> DA2 transition? Like, many times, I wanted to play JUST Dragon Age 2 with some choices I had in mind, but needed to either start in DA:O or hope that the game will get the things right (i.e. right now I am really struggling with making my Warden a templar/king who would sacrifice himself to Archdemon just to see the DA2 consequences). I know that there is some sort of unofficial save editor / creator, but I have seen it ruin the games, so I am not really too inclined to use it...

Gibbed doesnt ruin the game, but It doesnt have that many choices.

However it is a no as thats not the point of the keep and the Game can't see it anyway.

Hmm ok I tired looking through this thread to see if this specific issue has been mentioned but there's way too many pages :P

The issue I'm having is that when I tried to change from Alistair ruling Fereldan solely, to him ruling it with Anora it changes my romance from Zevran to Morrigan and changes me siding with the mages at the circle to me siding with the templars. If i try to change either of them back a conflict comes up saying that Alistair has to rule by himself. Has this issue already been mentioned? I know Alistair seems to be causing a few problems so I wouldn't be surprised!

One thing, in DA2 Tapestry many choices are useless when Varric tell the story you can't edit choice, what is the point?

I just notice all the reverting tiles, the name of tiles are in gray boxes instead of black boxes like every other tile.

Edit: Some choice that don't revert have gray boxes as well.

Forgive me if this one has been brought up already, I gave up looking around page 20. :P Not sure if this is a bug or a plot detail that I can't remember. In the DA2 tapestry you have the option of stating whether or not you helped the dwarf Yevhen find his sons in Act 2. When I got to Act 3 to say that I saved Nathaniel from the Deep Roads it stated that that choice conflicted with the Yevhen decision and said that if I want the Save Nathaniel decision I'll have to change the Yevhen decision to Did Not Help Yevhen. I tried this the other way as well and it seems these two choices conflict with one another. You can either save one of Yevhen's sons or Nathaniel but you cannot save both.

These two decisions are in separate Acts and it has been a while since I played Dragon Age 2 but I don't remember how these two choices conflicted with one another. Does anyone remember? Is it a bug or a plot detail that I can't remember?

Those two missions are determined by if Nathaniel is alive or dead at the end of Awakening. If Alive,Nathaniel in the Deep roads in DAII is avaible mission. If dead, Yevhen is the available mission. You can't have both missions available to you.

It seems to be an alternate way for a person to set their world state. Rather than going through all the tiles right from the off, a person can start by viewing the ISS and make the major choices as they come up, after which they man dive into the specifics.

For someone new to the franchise, I can see this being a very useful way to get into the broad strokes of the story. All those tiles with little context could easily be overwhelming.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere and I missed it, but if we use Keep on multiple platforms (Chrome on Windows7 & Nexus 7 in my case) is that information included when I used the Beta Feedback button? If not, what additional information is the baseline that I should supply in my bug notification?

I don't think it includes which browser you used when you submitted feedback (not completely sure, I'm basing this on what we've seen during the twitch stream) so you'll need to mention which one.
