Okay, so I see this as a "bug" (and I will submit it as such) but I am mentioning it here to explain why I feel it should be changed.
Currently a Human Noble MUST CURE THE DOG AT OSTAGAR. Why? They start with their dog, so they can KILL that dog and yet the Keep doesn't recognize this.
Also, I know Return to Ostagar isn't implemented yet, although I hope it does by the time DAI comes out, especially again in relation to the dog. Since, it's possible to KILL THE DOG. Then, when you do Return to Ostagar right before the fight with all the mabari, one of them runs up to you and joins your party (at this point IIRC you have no choice in the matter, you can not pick him when the party selection pops up, but he still becomes a companion at that point.) So again, if in game there were two ways to KILL THE DOG yet still end up recruiting a dog companion, I feel these two options (or the Human Noble one at the very least) should be reflected in the Keep.
Okay, then while it's purely a roleplaying decision (and yes, I've submitted this as feedback) I also think the Ser Landry choice should be expanded to include the option of having killed him in an honorable duel, or ganking him. Even if it's just "roleplay" it's these little things that help us define our Warden's personality.
