Concerning Witch Hunt:

Does the option "didn't go through the eluvian" assume that you actually found Morrigan? My warden chose to respect Morrigan's request and never pursued her, which in the real world means I didn't play Witch Hunt in this particular playthrough. Or even if I didn't play Witch Hunt, is it assumed the events from Witch Hunt always took place?

The devs said a few times that the DLCs happened, whether you played them or not... So I assume Witch Hunt always happened?

It's kind of a confusing statement though, since we have the option "Never encountered Tallis" in the Keep

That just means Tallis finished her mission without Hawke's help. Morrigan always goes through the Eluvian whether the Warden was there or not. Sebastian's family was still murdered whether he met Hawke or not. Etc. etc....

So I encountered something strange last night:

I have an a-hole male Cousland Warden who is married to Anora. As I was perusing my Tapestry, I noticed that under Prologue I had selected "did not help Mabari hound." Now, I just ignored that mission when I actually played this character, but when I saw the choice, I decided to change it to "put the hound out of its misery" because that's what a-hole Cousland would do... however, when I went to change it, the Keep prompted me to select "Anora rules alone."

...is Anora dumping my Warden because he killed a dog?

I know it has been already answered, but I have a doubt now.

The "you can't marry anora if you kill the dog" may be the Keep way to say "change your origin" when (I believe) it actually can't. I can't remember exactly right now, but I already noticed something similar while experimenting with the Keep: choosing an option that wasn't available to your origin/import prompts some changes that aren't exactly related to your choices but I don't recall see an option that tells you "change your origin". I think that if you choose something that's not "never did the quest" for a hero that can't do the quest in-game, prompts some changes that remove the options available only to that origin.

Maybe an example would clarify that: since Couslands don't get the opportunity to kill the mabari in Ostagar, when you pick that option the Keep thinks "if you want to kill your mabari you can't be a Cousland". BUT since the keep can't automatically change your selected hero (at least I have never seen a screen that tells you "you need to change your warden/hawke with someone else"), it prompts you choices that makes your character a "non-human noble" de facto such as it preventing you from marrying Anora.

What the Keep thinks may be:

- Marrying Anora is an option available only to male Couslands;

- if you kill the dog you can't be a Cousland (whatever hero you selected)

- SO if you kill the dog you can't marry Anora.

It's a basic Syllogism.

You gave me the idea to test this further, I want to try to mess with the origin-locked decisions (so far as I can see it's only the "of noble birth" quest and the anora/alistair marriage to the warden) and see what happens to the keep... Did anyone already tried to make the Keep believe the Queen/King of Ferelden is a elf/dwarf/mage, Anora/Alistair can be homosexual or that Mardyn can have a child with a non-Aeducan warden?

Oh great... you guys noticed the pattern. Now we're going have to actually worry about releasing on time :P

Is there anyway we can get a idea on what the Dev team is gonna update the Keep with?

Yeah, i probably let my wishful thinking for a friendship/rivalry choice cloud my perception of that tile.
But now i have to rethink my Hawkes a bit, because i do want to see, if something changes in Inquisition.
Oh well, it's not like i haven't been doing that anyway.

I see. The problem with a friendship/rivalry tile for Anders is that you could get rivalry with him for being pro-Templar or for having issues with the Justice merge. So it wouldn't be really useful for future game references unless it was more specific. And good luck rethinking your Hawkes.

Also - a note on locking choices... I've been noticing that far from making conflicts easier to understand and identify, when I've locked all my choices and there is a conflict with one, I am prompted to unlock A LOT of choices, including ones that don't seem to be connected?

Is it better to reserve locking for major plot decisions? I locked EVERYTHING.

Personally, I think locking should be used sparingly on only a few of the core *this is absolutely what I want to have happened* decisions.  If you start locking a bunch of everything then you will get more conflict issues as you have reportedly experienced.

I'm sorry, I'll admit I didn't read this all--running to dinner!--but just want to mention that I have indeed seen "change your hero" conflict popups. Male Amell, switch to romancing Alistair, and up pops the window saying "change Daylen Amell to Solona Amell." And similar ones on other romance tiles, though I have not tested every single gender-specific choice, so I'm not sure about Anora...for what it's worth :)

I locked all of my choices and had no problems

So it seems like locking highly inter-connected plot choices is a good idea, but locking relatively minor ones will cause more grief than if you didn't lock them? I guess that makes sense.

I worked backwards (starting with Battle of Denerim), locking each choice as I went. Although counter-intuitive, this method seemed to work well and produce the least problems with the logic solver for me.

Minor thing - I am able to set up the Anvil quest to siding with Caridin and having Branka commit suicide, but it's been long enough that I don't remember if that's a valid choice. I recall Branka attacking as soon as I sided with Caridin and killing her in the fight, but is it possible to talk her down while still taking Caridin's side?

Nope, that's a bug. :)

Branka only commits suicide if you side with her. If you side against her, you just kill her.

I've been poking around the default world state and I was pretty surprised by some of the choices I've seen. For example I find it a bit weird that Isabela and Sebastian were not recruited at all, while every other companion was (even other DLC companions like Shale and Tallis). I'm also surprised to find that Anders is 'alive & well', when Mark Darrah and David Gaider both said that Anders is dead in the default world. Everything else is pretty consistent with what I'd heard (Female Dalish Warden who did the Ultimate Sacrifice, no OGB, Pro-Mage Garrett Hawke etc.) so these choices in particular stick out.

So is what we have now the actual default world, or will it be tweaked in the future ?

I did give feedback requesting an option in Witch Hunt for "did not pursue Morrigan."
I don't care that she goes through the Eluvian, but I DO care about having my decision to pursue her (or not) recognized.

Has anyone played Witch Hunt with an Orlesian Warden? I imagine it must be pretty different, since she doesn't know the OW.

I have weird problem with syncing, not only in Keep, but also on BSN. I've followed a tutorial posted on Twitter, I've tried every method in Origins to import my characters onto the list but it only seems to have an impact my recent one alt. Given a look at the Player Profile Diagnostics though, I discovered that all my characters, about 6 or 7, are on this list, but none of them appear neither in Keep, nor on "characters" along with the newest one. Also, this one custom hero appears in my Keep, but it doesn't find any data from Dragon Age: Origins to import. What's the most funny thing, it finds three points of Dragon Age II data (no heroes), while I don't even have it registered :P Is there any solution for this, or I just have to wait for the team to fix it?

I encountered a different problem, when I log into the Keep and close that mini tutorial appearing in Tapestry, my world state keeps loading forever. Did anyone encountered something similar?

... so I guess I didn't need to report the undead Bone Pit dragon, hey? That's what I get for not reading the Known Issues before reporting bugs.

(Maybe she's making a bid to become the first Dracolich in Thedas?)

It's not the one the game has if you don't bother to use the keep, it's just a worldstate waiting to be edited that has no conflicts in any of the choices.

It's a blank slate waiting for you to make your mark on it

I'm surprised that there is no way of confirming, if you were a friend with Morrigen, or not.  I mean getting the grimmore, and 'killing' flemeth would be pretty important points, you would think.

Okay, have been poking around the Keep and noticed a couple of things. Just want to know if it's my memory playing tricks, issues or I'm simply missing something.

1) (About DAII) For some reasons, the Keep won't let me choose both "Merrill is dead" and "Merrill's clan was killed". But why? I can kill her clan, then choose the Templar's side and kill her when she opposes me - everything seems valid. Can someone elaborate?

1.1) Just noticed - it also forces me to choose "Merrill stayed with Hawke" if I want to choose "Merrill's clan was killed".

2) (About DAII) It seems to me that when choosing your romance you actually choose the person you were locked in with by the end of the game. Because my perfect plan for adding drama to the playthrough where my Hawke romanced Seb, sided with mages and didn't kill Anders just burnt in flames  :( After you choose Seb as your romance, the Keep automatically changes Anders' fate to "killed", and when you try to change it back, it doesn't let me.

3) (About DAO) Zerlinda's quest - it shows only two outcomes (and I'm mentioning this because my PC is acting a bit strange lately and it's possible that there are missing panels). And if not - am I the only one upset by the scarcity of outcomes for this particular quest?

I'm encountering a script error on log-in that makes it impossible to interact with the Keep (basically, things that should be clickable aren't).  So I can't use the Beta Feedback widget to report it.  Can anyone tell me if there's another way of logging it, please (or if it's even worth reporting)?

Thanks.

They're doing a stability upgrade this morning, so if it keeps happening after that, you might want to send email to onlinecommunity@bioware.com and let them know that way.
