Didn't we get friend codes to help bring in beta testers? If so where do I find them?

No, only early beta testers got codes, another beta tester (I can't be 100% sure, as I am newer, I didn't get any codes) could tell you exactly but I think they stopped giving codes in late September.

As for all your double posts, you can hit the "hide" button on the extras, and it will basically delete them.  Bioware can still see them, but we won't be able to, if that matters to you.   I've done a few double posts, and that's how I fix them. :D

Damn now I am getting the choices resetting even after making a new world state myself.

I got a code to get into the beta and then I had 5 codes myself. They said it was a mistake but you were allowed to give them out.

As far as I am aware only 1 person redeemed the code I gave out.

Any older Keepers can confirm this, please: didn't the default world state use to mark Anders as dead? He shows up as alive when I create new world states, but I could swear he was dead in the default a couple months ago. Maybe I'm just going mental, but... I could swear I remember it showing him dead.

(also didn't Gaider state Anders would be dead in the default? I'm officially confused now.)

I'm Confused are you going to play with just the default state and not use the one you made yourself?

Lots of people are getting that bug with the decisions added in the 2nd last update. If you create a new world state rather than just changing your current one, they should stop resetting.

Nope, they still reset. Even after clearing the cache and temporary internet files in three browsers PLUS creating new world states while using each browser, the choices that keep resetting are still doing so.

Honestly, if one of the Keep developers would chime in on how the DA:I import works I wouldn't really care. If, when you click "Export to DA:I" it takes a snapshot of the world state at the time of export, and making changes to the world state does NOT automatically update what's in the "Export" slot then that would be fine. However, if the "Export" slot is consistently being updates based on you making changes to the world state in question then that's a problem.

I'm hoping it's the former (aka you have to "Export to DA:I" any time you want to update the world state in the "Export" slot), because that means I can just set the resetting choices how I want, hit "Export" and be done with it.

I asked the same question a couple of weeks back, since I was also surprised to find Anders not dead when both David Gaider & Mark Darrah said Anders was dead in the default world state. Someone answered me by saying that 'New World State' and the default aren't necessarily the same, but a lot of the choices line up with what we know is default (like the Female Dalish Elf who sacrifices herself) so I'm not really sure what to believe.

Even if I'm not going to use the default world state I'm still interested in knowing what it is.

Is the default world state in the Keep different than the default world state in the DA:INQUISITION game? I still don't see the importance of this but Meh lol

It matters if this is somehow a bug I should be reporting, as that's what we're here for. I'm confused as to whether this is a bug that needs to be fixed (the default tile was somehow inverted and the team didn't notice) or a deliberate change in the established default world state.

It also makes a significant difference to the intention of the default world state as declared so far, too - until now it has been explained as a world state made primarily for players new to the franchise, thus keeping the possibility for returning characters as low as possible to avoid confusing these new players with information dumps and cameos with no context. There's a solid possibility that Anders will not appear in DAI at all, if his voice actor's tweets are anything to go by, but what if he does appear in some other form, say, as a husk/carcass taken over by Justice, in example? In such a case, leaving Anders alive in the default world state leaves room for a very confusing cameo to new players, who will have no context to go with such a character. Which again makes me wonder whether this is a bug, or an intentional change - and if it was intentional, that makes me wonder why this particular choice has been changed so late into it.

It makes no difference for my world states, but it makes all the difference for those who will be playing default.

Interesting, but I agree, a little handwavy. Two such very similar default world states with just this one difference sounds.... unlikely.

I honestly don't know if this is something that should be reported or left alone.

Whether or not Anders appears is insignificant to find out because that goes into spoilers to the game, the Voice actor could throw a swerve with his tweets or that they changed his voice actor all together. Use beta feedback if you think it warrants it or shoot them a email.

Actually I think there are a couple of choices in the Companions section in DA2 that seem a little off. The default is generally supposed not to leave any loose ends, so most of the quests weren't completed and most of the side characters who can die are dead, so I find it weird that Merrill didn't destroy the eluvian, as that sounds like it could have important consequences. Also the fact that Isabela and Sebastian weren't recruited at all, when even Tallis and Shale were.

Shale I can understand because her role in Asunder assumes the Warden did release her. Tallis... yeah it's probably because she's reappearing at some point so MotA is presumed to have happened either way.

What intrigues me about Isabela is that Fenris was apparently recruited and helped with Danarius, but Bela wasn't recruited at all, even though she's arguably more tied to the plot of DA2 then him. Some pretty peculiar choices there.

In any case, I guess I'll shoot some Feedback on the Anders issue with those Gaider/Darrah quotes. If it's a bug, it should be looked into; if it's not... well, it is what it is. Thanks for the input, guys.

Perhaps it is because the resting keep worldstate is not the one that the game uses (if you dont import), just something put there for people to see.

What does it matter though?

In the case of isabela I can see why they would make the default state hawke never recruited her due to it being a 'surprise' that she's the reason behind the Qunari being stuck, only someone who played DA2 would know that. See from the view point of the world, I'm sure the Qunari being in Kirkwall will be mentioned in game but only a few people actually know why and it's more a case whether Hawke knows or not.

Any tips on how to make my choices stick properly? Most of my companion choices get changed after I log off and back on again. It doesn't matter if I lock the choices or the world state they always change back to "did not encounter" or something along those lines. This only happens to the companion quests so far as I can tell.

Edit

To add some info, I'm using Chrome and I've tried every trick I know of. If it is as everyone says then I'll just wait for the next update. Good to know it's not just me though.

It is a known issue that the most recently added tiles. So what tiles are having the issue and what are you using to edit the Keep?

I think it's save to say everyone is affected by this whether they claim they got it to stick or not, it's the timed aspect that's throwing everyone off. Also check Kitty, Felsi and Cullen those are affected as well.

I will also eat my shoe if any tips people give right now actually work (except a dev's tip :P)  Best to report what browser your using and whether you cleared cache and what not so you can add your information to the situation.

In my opinion there should be more plot pictures in DAA tapestry and I narrow it down to what could be added.

1 Vigilance
2 Dworkin glavonoks explosives
3 Darkspawn messenger alive or dead
4 Shepherder Alec (sir alec or not)

Most important to me is The darkspawn messenger and vigilance

Can we hang on to this and discuss more things that can be added to DAA tapestry?

So what does actually happen with regards to the Qunari if you don't recruit Isabela ? I've never not recruited her, and the wiki only says that "Varric will mention her during party chatter even if Hawke has not met her". Does nobody know about the Tome of Koslun unless Isabela's in Hawke's party ?

If any tile should be added to the DAA tapestry it should first be the Orlesian Warden and then Sigrun/Velanna/Justice.

Someone else can probably answer better since I've always recruited her as well, but you can probably fill in the gaps. With no isabela the cut scene with Avaline doesn't happen and the quest to get the book back doesn't happen. When confronted with the Arishok, he simply mentions something was taken from them but doesn't say who/what (this part I know cause he'll say it if isabela doesn't return)

I had a look on the wiki, you miss her specific quests and you dont get the option to negotiate with The Arishok so its an immediate battle.

Justice? Not Oghren?

in my Opinion the Justice and Anders Awakening Choices are pointless after DA 2.
