Gotta love Amazon.com with thier release day delivery, sure it costs a whole 2 dollars more but this is ME2 i am blowing out all the stops. I have a week off work, took it special like and everything, stocked up on beef jerky, smokes, Bushmills, pizza coupons, have the local Chineese delivery place added to speed dial, informed all my friends that i have died but am expecting a full recovery on Febuary 3rd, dusted, defragged, my computer, tracked down the lastest drivers for video and sound, all my laundry will be done not that i will have time to shower or change clothes anyway jk. I have pretty much rolled up the sidewalk, boarded up the windows, and have placed signs saying "Shooting first, second and not asking questions so go away" to keep the religious nuts from interupting me. I am not sure what else i missed, as i do this for most of my anticipated games the list grows with each game to include the new interuption in the ever growing list.

Here in NZ, the standard edition for ME2 is $130!! Ive never seen a standad edition above $120 before.

I think NZ should go to war on Canada (where Bioware is) cause of the rediculous price of ME2. I predict cause of NZ's and Canada's crap armies that the war will last 3 weeks and no one will get hurt.

Does NZ have a Navy boat seaworthy enough to reach Canada?

i remember from similiar topics on other game forums a while ago that its not actually bioware or EA or microsoft for that matter that decides the price of games down here.

its our local distributors here that demand such high prices.

i dont know why, maybe someone here does. could be due to we are a fair distance from America and Europe

They probably charge so much because it might cost them a bit to import it and then send it to all their companies where as America is alot closer to Canada so they dont have to ssend it so far.

Ps. Steam is good but i refer to have the physical copy with the box and stuff.

EDIT: Oh! I have an ultrasound on wednesday so I mgiht go into my local EB after that and ask them if its in, I got DA a day early from them whereas Game traders (in the same mall complex mind you) refused to give it to me, so I might be lucky. Otherwise i'll just blame it on the baby brain and say I forgot lol.

Payed $30 AU from india!

'Course it'll take a little longer to get here, but I'm not paying triple that for a game when I don't have to.

This is where I hate internode customers; Having unmetered Steam downloads means they will most likely get ME2 overnight and not have to worry about crappy internet caps and what not.

Don't worry Aussies... Europe will get it 1 day after you.. the 29th.. and if the *rumors* about the Collector's Edition happens to be true for everyone.. people like me will get the game on the 3rd/4th of February..

I'm already mourning.. since I've been waiting for this for soooooooooo long!

GST and lower profit margin (less population to buy your product then Europe, Asia or America, and thus less profits versus costs unless you increase the price) probably account for a portion of it. The rest is probably good old greed.

Well us Brits dont get it until the 29th, and the CE cost almost double the price over here. But it will be worth it in the end.
