He was?
Why aren't people screaming about wanting to murder him too?
Is it because he's Qunari and she's an elf? Bloody Shems.

No. Plenty of elves get love.

But characters who put the PC in a sidekick role never get love.

You can't point out to her how, in her lovely Qun, you as a Mage would be blindfolded, chained, and have your mouth sewn shut.

You can't try to take the document from her either through diplomacy or force.

And as some BA member of the Ben-hassreth (sp?), she's willing to just sit there and wait for you to decide to get out or for your friends to rescue you before she finally picks a lock (with nothing... Cause all your things are taken). Her mission must not be so important as to require her to actually get off her butt and see it done if she has so much time to waste.

She turns your character into a passenger for her "watch how awesome I am" adventure. It's less than ideal.

She was probably a good character on paper, but her writers and her voice actress did the character no justice. It was a rushed DLC that had a pseudo celebrity's name slapped on it. And some people forgive it just for the fact that she's voiced by Felicia Day.

Iron Bull will be telling you who he works for and what he'll be doing. You'll have the chance to refuse his assistance. And if you do accept him, he's in a sort if crisis of faith point in his life where you may be able to convince him to abandoned the Qun.

One character is malleable and can change based on interaction with the player. The other is fan service with a day time soap opera write up that can never be overcome.

That's why you don't hear so much Iron Bull hate and you see tons of "only if I can kill her" responses or Tallis.

It would be interesting if through a companion quest, we break IB away from the qun but in response to this, they send Tallis and a squad of other qunari to force him back for "reeducation"

I don't see that happening since she went on a solo mission because she felt like it, even after being told not to. Looks to me she needs to join Iron Bull in that reeducation camp. It'll be like high school again.

Tallis really wasn't that well received overall from what I've seen so even putting her in a quick cameo seems incredibly pointless.

Tallis was amusing in some points but overall, I just don't really like her.

Yeah, that was the impression I got from Tallis in the DA2 DLC.  It felt like we were forced to be her sidekick which I did not like.  I liked the rest of the DLC but Tallis really dragged it down for me.

No. Tallis.

I love Felicia Day but I hate Tallis. I'm tired of celeb cameos; they feel cheap and they are immersion-breaking.

I just think that the DLC was rushed. This could be why it seemed to stay on a strict path and make the PC feel like a sidekick. I did think it was pretty cool being able to choose stealth or violence, that was still the PC's decision. Also, even if it was a fan service, I think that Felicia Day did a fine job voice acting. She was by far not the worst Bioware guest voice actor... *cough*jessicachobot*ahem*
