Some of you may have heard that a Bioware game ("Green Cloud") just got an AU rating (like the ESRB in the US).

Do you think it's A Mass Effect game or the new IP?

 

Some things to consider (let's assume the listing is 100% accurate):

 

1) The previous Mass Effect games were rated MA 15+, so this is consistent.

2) Shadow Realms (the other new Bioware IP) is out of Austin, TX. This says Canada is the "Country of Origin".

3) Dragon Age: Inquisition has already been rated as such, so this rules that out.

4) Green...synthesis...hmmm. Remastered Trilogy?

5) Version: Original? Red herring. Inquisition has the same label.

6) "Strong fantasy violence"...is NOT on the other Mass Effect games......but not Dragon Age: Origins or DA2. Not Shadow Realms because the Country of Origin is not the US.

It's still Bioware, a Canadian company.

 

"Country of Origin" is not reliable. For example, Ryse was made by Crytek in England and Germany. According to the Australian website, it's origin is the USA.

Maybe because the publisher is Microsoft and it's an exclusive game for Xbox One and PC?  Also, if it was made in England and the UK, maybe they just went with the publisher? Just guessing.

Jade Empire 2!!!!! A Bioware setting that has not been damaged for me like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. It might come out before Exalted 3rd edition.

Well, this is Australia.

It can't be the new Mass Effect game, our classification series goes by assessing a more or less complete game for its rating and there's no way a new game is that close to completion. Otherwise, a lot of developers could have just toned down things in the past when our classification board were unfriendly. It sounds like a fantasy game or even just Dragon Age: Inquisition given that there's no ratings in any copies ready for pre-order in our retail stores.

I will say this...a sole-canon Synthesis sequel would be entertaining in one respect.

Starting the game off with two cutscenes that show you how wrong picking destroy and control would have been.

What if it's not related to Synthesis? Poisonous atmosphere on Tuchanka looked like a Green Cloud. Dragon Age Inquisition Fade rifts also look the part.
