Tempest sounds the most interesting to me, but I'm gonna start with a warrior. Rogue next.
The rest of the DAI Specializations revealed!

Woohoo, yeah!
Necromancer here I come!
And my tradition of making Champions will continue as well! (Both my first Warden and Hawke were champions, though I'm not sure if my first Inquisitor will be following in their footsteps)

It is indeed a new one. But perhaps it means that our teacher is a Circle mage who did have to get such dispensation to learn the art.
That would make sense. Then again, they've locked specializations behind role-playing decisions before...

I think Warrior specs are a little bit boring, nothing new. I wanted something new like a Dragon Slayer (not very original, but new)
Rogue specs are interesting. Tempest is a surprise, it's some kind of alchemist, a role that I thought the artificier would take. It's cool that rogues can focus on different ways of killing, not just stab shoot shoot stab. For the next game, a rogue focusing on defensive skills would be nice too (come back bard!!!).
Mage specs are very interesting and everything is somehow new. KE sounds like arcane warrior, a interesting spec in DAO. A necro spec with (let's hope for this) undead pets is always welcomed. Rift mage is... I don't know, have to see it in action to figure it out.

All the specializations for mages sound so cool! We can only pick one??

Necromancer, Knight Enchanter, Tempest, Rift Mage, Artificer....
Too much cool ****, I probably won't touch another game for over a year.

I'm not really sure how much I'd like Reaver considering all of the restrictions and limitations on healing, but Champion sounds far too defensive for me. I would go with Templar, but I don't want to have to worry about the Inquisitor becoming "lyrium addled" if they incorporated that back into the spec... hm.... I can't really decide...
As for the other classes, Assassin and Rift Mage stand out as the ones I'd be most interested in. At least my rogue and mage characters should be easy to plan out...
It's extremely doubtful that they would do that.

Rift Mage
These mages draw upon the force of the Fade, either pulling matter from the Fade to attack or twisting the Veil itself into a weapon to stagger or crush their enemies.
So does this mean that I can pull a Fade boulder out of thin air and crush someone with it? And if I can pull things out of the Fade does that mean that I can gather Fade specific resources easier?
It would be cool if each specialization would help in areas outside of combat as well.

Templar it is.
Probably what I'm starting with.
Depending on how Cassandra is specced. I want to be DPS warrior, she be a tank like Aveline.. probably Champion for her.

Interesting! I can use this to plan and flesh out my character's personalities and back stories a little more. ^^

Walking bomb confirmed for necro. I wanted it for KE. I guess I will have to do without
. A whole concept build went down the drain.

It's extremely doubtful that they would do that.
Well, it's like that in the lore, although obviously not all players care about such things...

I wonder if it will be just one tree to specialize in the whole game or two?

Assassin easily, followed by Tempest or Necromancer

You can have just one spec in DAI.

From what we’ve learned here and what we knew previously it’s seems pretty likely, at least to me, that the followers use the same specs as the PC and are probably going to line up something like this…
Necromancer – Dorian (Confirmed to be one in his character interview)
Rift Mage – Solas (Known to be a fade expert)
Knight Enchanter – Vivienne (Only mage spec left and makes sense given its chantry ties and what we know about her)
Artificer – Varric (Tweet confirmed that he shared a spec ability with the PC that most likely belonged to this spec)
Assassin – Cole (The description we just got screams Cole)
Tempest – Sera (There’s a picture in this very thread that shows her having abilities that match this spec’s description)
Templar – Cassandra (Makes sense given her allegiance)
Reaver – Iron Bull (Was shown to have access to this spec in a gameplay video)
Champion – Blackwall (It suits him, but otherwise no confirmation)

I believe it has been said that only one specialization will be given to the player per play through.

This is very nice and mostly what I expected apart from Tempest. It looks like all my planned 9 inquisitors will stick to the spec I assigned to them when creating the character concepts. Well, except for my elf and dwarf rogues who will be swapping artificer/tempest because the tempest reveal now fits my dwarf better.

I know which classess to do now for my first five playthroughs now.
Necromancer without a doubt will be my first playthrough.
