A lot of people seem to be disappointed with the reveal, how would they want it to be instead?

Playersexual for all
Oh boy I wonder how this will go down.
Just the way they are.
Just for fun
Cassandra--bisexual (would be lesbian, but DotS exists, so...)
Blackwall--straight
Iron Bull--pansexual
Sera--straight
Dorian--gay (ouch)
Solas--bisexual
Josephine--lesbian
Cullen--straight
...Well now I want to romance Josephine as a straight male! ![]()
I wasn't disappointed with the reveal

The way they are now. The writers know the characters better than I do.
Yeah, as much as some of the choices disappointed me at first, I agree.
This isn't my story. I'm just here for the ride.
I wanted the remaining two LIs to be a bi female/male so everyone could have equal options. Companion specific orientations I'm not too fussed about as I play all gender/orientation.
Also I don't like race-gating but that's a separate issue.
I'm fine with how it is now. The writers know the characters best.
I mean, I guess I understand why Bioware did what they did, but I was hoping all the female LIs would be bi just in case I felt like playing a woman. (I don't really give half a dang about the orientations of the male LIs.) Of course, the one who's shaping up to be my favorite for other reasons is bi, which is the same way it ended up working in Origins, so I honestly can't complain too much.
Hmm, it doesn't really matter to me all that much, but I suppose I would give a realistic representation of orientation ratios, that's just me though. Not that ratios don't mean that it is theoretically possible to go the way BioWare made it.
I don't believe the writers should sacrifice their artistic integrity in order to cater to the demands of those who want to be catered to.
They wrote these characters how they say them. They DID NOT intentionally write them to deny or deprive people.
Yes it sucks people can't romance who they want. The fact remains that this game offers MORE replayability than Origins and DA2 put together.
I will roll a male character for Dorian. I plan to roll a character for every adviser/companion. My sexuality does NOT determine how I will play this game.
People take this thread too serious.

People take much of this forum too serious.
On a further note I would play the game even if romance of companions wasn't part of it because I am more interested in the philosophical choices I've had to make while playing the story, rather than whose bun is fun.

The only one I'd change is Vivienne to whatever it takes to be available to the player as a LI. She would have literally been perfect for me.
I thought she would be a LI also. I would have like to have her as an option and would have given an option for both sexes if Cullen and Vivienne were added during the extra development time.
I trust the superior wisdom of our overlords.
Romances stay as is. No changes.

OT: changing someone's orientation is bordering on... something id rather not discuss due to its sensitivity. And the very idea is personally unsettling.
This isn't about forcibly changing a person's sexual orientation, it's about what orientation you'd have preferred a fictional character be written as. Not the same thing, not the same ballpark, not the same league, not even the same sport.
