For me, it will be a male Dalish rogue - assassin.

I'm building two characters to run simultaneously. Female Qunari Rogue with Tempest specialization (I was going to make her an Assassin, but tbh she's a bit tall to be doing the super stealthy AC style kills). Second being a Male Human Warrior with either Champion or Reaver specialization.

I have struggled with my choice of first Inquisitor quite a bit, and to such an extent that I have just thrown in the towel. Until I see all of the character creation options, I don't think that I will be able to decide which Inquisitor to craft first. I am anxious to revisit Thedas as each of the race options, and honestly each of those yet again as the other gender - - - so that is going to take some time.

 

But deciding what that initial run through will look like is proving to be a challenge, given that this is going to be a long campaign 80 hrs to perhaps twice that ........ thus I will be cautiously easing into my eventual selection for November 18.

 

Generally once I have my characters "look" nailed down, that somewhat informs me of what "their" specialization is going to be; I view the RPG experience as somewhat of a partnership between myself and whatever my "muse" suggests at the start of a new game. Thus far all that I'm absolutely sure about is that, despite my personal penchant to usually go Rogue or Mage, my first Inquisitor is going to be a two-handed warrior. I am "feeling" that much in advance!

My first Inquisitor will be a male elven 2 handed warrior.  Probably a Reaver, but we'll see what happens.

I've pretty much decided on Human Female Warrior Champion Spec for the first play through.  This is a good, solid, familiar, easy to play combo that will get me through the first play through.  I'll mix it up later.

For a bit, I was like "No, I'm not going to play the same thing I do on every playthrough! I'm not going to play a tank! Or a gal! I'm going to shake it up!"

 

Then I realized I was lying through my teeth and accepted it.
