A very well done video, thank you for posting.
They do good work. They deserve more exposure.

And here is Chapter 1 The Elves.
"The elves of the Tevinter Imperium are allowed freedom and given the highest status in the social strata for their magical prowess."
Wait, what?
The highest class in Tevinter society are the Altus who descend from the first human Dreamers and thus, could never be elves.
And while they can earn freedom, those are the exceptions rather than the rule.
Even Garahel's sister discovered that all that being related to the Hero of the Fourth Blight earned her was not being automatically enslaved as soon as she set foot within the nation's borders and she was a very powerful mages.

You have to account for different time periods (Exalted Age vs Dragon Age) and that while canon the Last Flight isn't an in depth look into Tevinter. It's about the Fourth Blight and

And they aren't truly given freedom. As Gaider said, being a mage in Tevinter isn't that much different than being in the circle except for the Magisters. It is just changing one kind of servitude for another.
And it is only if they have magical ability. Elves aren't all mages.
If they had more time i would of loved a video about the Qun. but 8 weeks and all. well 7 now.

I think good elven mage are part of the Liberati , freed slaves. They get some perks , like being able to be part of the Circle etc...
It seems they are a bit above humans non mage , but they won't be able to be as powerful as a human mage.

Yes, this is what has been said previously.

Now here is Chapter 2. The Humans
This series is really good. Touches on the important aspects of the lore without getting mired in details. I think this series should be on the "required watching" list for anyone the least bit interested in Dragon Age lore, and for whoever thinks they *might* be interested in this world and have the patience to watch a number of 5-10 minute videos.
Yay, humans!
Up next Chapter 3. The Dwarves.
Good video, although the male voice mispronounced 'Orzammar' and they both mispronounced 'thaig'.

Eh, different parts of the world pronounce things differently.
Eh, different parts of the world pronounce things differently.
These are words unique to the DA setting, so there shouldn't be regional differences here.
Been watching this for the past 4 weeks, very well put together feels like I'm watching a real documentary series on the History channel or something lol

Well what is lore but just history for a specific Universe?
I tweeted LadyInsanity about the pronunciation last night and she was blaming herself as she provided a pronunciation guide to the voiceover people. I think Oz-rammar was just a mis-reading by the guy, and the mispronunciation of Thaig is quite an easy one to make. It's just a bit odd that they didn't catch the mistakes before release.
Up next we have Chapter. 4 The Nations
They mispronounce the Qun...but good still!
And here we have Chapter 5. Magic
Meh
Well what is lore but just history for a specific Universe?
I was pointing out how well it was done, most video game lore videos don't look as professional as this
It could do a lot more for you than "Lore in a minute." so i hope they get much more popular.
Good! I have a friend who hasn't played DA2 and another who has never played dragon age and I will show them the video
I'm sure they'll love watching a short video more than hearing me rant on about crazy sandal theories ![]()

Ahhhh...fair enough.
