i like G.E. + Wraith + Ammo Fire with questionable 6/6/6/6/6 specs
your G.I. + Crusader is too heavy and laggy for me

Warp Ammo w/ HVB and spare clips is probably the best all around setup for the Crusader.
Don't think Phasic actually helps on it at all, but I would need to recheck the calculator.

Absolutely not phasics. Either AP, Warp or Drill.

@bauza - I agree with Incendiary on the GE but I like the GPR on it. Probably the only kit I use it on, but I like the feel, and the damage isn't too bad with all the boosts.

Actually, now that I think about it, there might be a case for incendiaries... If using them maybe allows you to perform OHKs on certain shielded mooks. One should do the math...

The Crusader is accurate, but it doesn't do enough damage per shot to be like some of the sniper rifles, and it doesn't get a base damage modifier from Cloak either. Javelin does double the base damage per shot, for instance.
As for Incendiary Ammo, I don't think it improves the number of shots to kill either. Most of the shielded units are going to take two shots practically regardless of ammo choice.

Edit: I remember trying Polonium at least once but it didn't wow me in this use case.

The pen is mightier than the sword, so clearly we should be loading our Crusaders with ball-point pens!

You have 0.5m innate penetration on the Crusader, so you can use mods (HVB, Shredder) to increase the distance without losing damage.
AP isn't a bad choice though.

1) Warp
2) AP
The worst choice would be phasics IMO, the damage per shot isn't high enough (I don't even talk about explosive and cryo of course).

I vote to switch from the GI to the SI (build). Headshots? Who needs headshots? Cloaked ED will strip the shields from almost anything (on Gold at least), and your follow-up shotgun blast will OSK most of them with a body shot. This leaves you with 3 in the chamber for deadguy's friends. And you still have Proxy Mine to make those bosses go down quickly. If you're doing Collectors or Reapers (or maybe Cerberus), Warp Ammo might be the best choice. Or you could take AP or Drill ammo with Geth Scanner for double-hits and shooting stuff through walls.

Does the proximity mine debuff stack with warp ammo? I thought you can only weaken armored opponents so much... but I dont know. I would go AP personally, since proximity mine is already doing debuff for you. Or perhaps even disruptor ammo.

Proximity Mine does not affect armor weakening, it is a "damage taken" debuff which increases the damage inflicted on a target. For weapons, it adds in the headshot area.
Armor weakening (from Warp Ammo) or armor piercing (from AP ammo or piercing mods) affects the amount of armor damage mitigation (50 points on Gold and Platinum), and are separate types of effects.
As far as the pure ammo damage from Warp Ammo, PM will increase it.

Also as far as Phasics go, I think it actually is possible to one-shot a Nemesis with that setup after PM debuff and mine damage. Don't know that it is really worth the tradeoff since WA setup one-shots Dragoons.

With innate piercing, access to double piercing mods and Hunter mode, I'm actually inclined to say Drill Rounds.

Ditch crusader and pick up the claymore! Use Drill 3 or AP 4.
