Very very stuck unfortunately.

Torn between:
a- Male Elf Rogue- Tempest
b- Male Human Mage- Necromancer
c- Female Qunari Mage- Knight Enchanter

The male elf rogue was my original concept before the qunari were announced as playable. Then for the longest time I decided on a qunari female mage. But then Dorian was announced with his LI arc and a male human mage fits it perfectly (as it does my MAmell/MMageHawke world state). But now I want to default back to my rogue, still curious about my femqunari mage and yet other ideas still come, namely dwarf female rogue and elf female anything because elf female: master romance race.

Of course there's multiple play throughs but I want to settle on my first already

I think I'm still going human female mage for my first playthrough, I've wanted to romance Cullen with a mage since my first Origins playthough.

Second playthrough I'm thinking male qunari warrior- I like the thought of a not-Tevinter mage and a not-Qunari having a romance, should be interesting with Iron Bull as well. Should make choices differently from my first PC with a more freedom and individual oriented outlook.

Third playthrough on is undecided- I never played much of my Dalish or Casteless PCs I made in Origins so I dunno if I'll make an elf or dwarf for Inquisition.

"Stuck" can't even begin to describe how overwhelmed I am trying to decide what my first Inquisitor will be. Granted, I still have a month an a half to fully decide.

As of right now, my plan is to play through two Inquisitors together.

I'm really torn on this. I kinda want to play a human male warrior because someone of the character models we've seen for them look amazing, and it appeals to me baring in mind my first-playthrough characters have been mages until now.

On the other hand, being a human male warrior seems so utterly generic in a game that allows customisation options. So I'm also drawn to being a female dwarf, just for the sake of being a bit different.

I imagine I'll be going back and forth on this right up until release day.

I was originally dead-set on playing a Qunari mage, but I also want to be an anti-Dalish, anti-Chantry elven Templar warrior. Or maybe a Reaver, but the idea of feeding off the pain of others is off-putting.

Very interesting. I assume this is an Origins only playthrough with the headcanon that won't be imported to DAI but where the events of DAi still happen? Because I imagine otherwise the headcanon won't hold as the inquisitors backgrounds are set as well as the fact that the inquisitor might meet the warden.

Speaking of this, I sometimes wish Dragon Age had a same protagonist across all games like in ME. It could have been a lot of fun.

It'll be imported. But in my headcanon, the Hero of Ferelden is Alistair. My mage left the tower to aid in the battle of Ostagar, not become a Grey Warden. She was sent along to back up Alistair with some magic while he lit the signal fire. After Ostagar, my mage was his first companion and all the story choices were made the same as they were in the Darkspawn Chronicles (except, you know, we win).

My mage follows Alistair because he reminds her of Cullen. And she strives to live up to being the sort of person Cullen would come to admire and respect, delighting in the discovery of the ways of the Arcane Warrior. She uses her magics to bolsters her physical person and to absorb, nullify, or counter enemy spells.

She agrees to Alistair's decisions, but is heartbroken and enraged when they come to the circle and find it swarming with demons and abominations. Thinking Cullen dead and knowing how he would perform his duty if she had failed her harrowing, she was a strong advocate for the Rite of Annulment. When she found Cullen alive, but tortured, she took to cleansing the rest of the mages with a fire she hadn't known before.

After the slaying of the Archedemon, she returned to the Circle to be brought to another for safe keeping, and willingly followed Cullen to Kirkwall. There she stayed for all those years, watching him as much as she could, talking with him when she could, stealing little touches or smiles here and there. And when the confrontation came between the Templars and Mages, she abstained. If Cullen would do his duty, she would do hers and wait.

When the Champion freed the mages and Cullen and the rest of the Templars calmed down, she stayed in Kirkwall till the war separated them. Now she had little choice, she had to fight for her own survival and hope not to cross paths with the one man she cared for.

Cross out the human background and insert all of the above, then press 'start new game' on the Inquisition home menu.

I'm pretty set on being a Dwarf Rogue to start, but I may pull a wild card and decide on Qunari Warrior at the last second.
