Do Bioware intersted?
No, Bioware will not make nwn3.
You could have been more gentle with this news, kamal_. I just designed this image to suppose how amazing it would be (someone see that?). Today there is enough technology to develop the nwn3 of our dreams, we would only need someone to help with the financial part.
Well yeah, that would be nice. Especially if it fully supported modding and campaign building in the manner of NWN2. But I don't think the financial incentives are there at the moment to make it happen, commercially. It might be possible with indie effort using Unity.
Almost certainly not going to happen. Which is kind of a shame. I wouldn't mind playing a 4e or 5e edition. (Especially 5e, since the people who bash 4e aren't wholly wrong.)
Neverwinter ('The city of Skilled Hands' - ooh, exciting!) has to be one of the most boring cities in Faerun. How it managed to get two games named after it is a mystery. Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate were much more interesting locations.
It might be more likely that Obsidian will make a spiritual successor to the NwN games with Pathfinder.
They already struck a deal, their first game will be something with cards, but the next ones might be different.
or better, graphs that allow you to fly, get submerged in the ocean, use mounts etc, everything that already exists in the best rpgs online. and could have an improved aurora editor. it must be something extremely superior and refined compared to the nwn2 since my preference between the 2 and the 1 is the nwn1

Yeah, but it's fun to play "what if"? This is a fantasy game, after all. ![]()
Some things I'd like to see (that are only partly satisfied by mods at present):
I've played Neverwinter Nights 1 since it was still sold in the stores lol (I think I bought it like 10-12 years ago).
I never got into the campaign, the only reason I bought it was because I saw magic on the back lol
I played a lotr server and learnt so much about the game and how it works.
I found I had Nwn2 in like 2010 through a steam package I bought. I never played the campaign of that too, but I love making the project I'm working on.
The fps and the bugs NwN2 has is annoying, but still, it's a beautiful game.
I'm sad that I heard that modules have to be small, so ruined our project a tad bit, causing us to cut it up.
I wish interiors weren't tile based on NwN2 ![]()
Hey Kossith, a little aside, but have you ever tried making an interior with placeables? It can be done, and it might be what you were wanting! Let me know if you need more info, but I don't want to hijack this thread with it.
Anyway, no matter "how amazing it would be", the point is that it's not happening.
the point is that we want ![]()

Yes, with the standard tiles.
One of my castles, it has a "secret passage" where I used the 2d walls to close off 1 tile, but leaving a small gap only 1 person could fit through at a time. I hid the rest with the black tile placeable so it looks like it's a thin short passage.
But what I mean is, it's hard to make detail in interiors. The floor/wall designs are terrible, since if I chose to have some moss on the floor (changing the floor texture) it would look stupid against the floor tiles next to it.
I have quite a few interior mods, my favourite is the deep chasm, since you can change the elevation.
I would like some info Tcho's ;o I'll post my project on the modules category so people on here know what I'm working on lol (I know I spam these forums with help, but I never give anything back).
"Whats Neverwinter MMO? "
I tried that, and it's so terrible. It's pretty much a broken WoW (I know everyone says on an mmo "hurr durr it's copying wow"), but honestly, there's nothing unique about it.

I beliave the Neverwinter MMO just have been inspired in the Neverwinter Nights franchise and used Neverwinter name to associate it as D&D game style.
These exist in NWN2
They do exist but have they been implemented into any module or any PW yet? Fortunately or not, no.
Fortunately because it would destroy any balance with casters like in PnP.
"Lol Fighter you cannot reach me. Bows? Protection from Arrows/Stoneskin/Mirror Image/Displacement etc. Flying boots or items? Dispel."
Yeah, but it's fun to play "what if"? This is a fantasy game, after all.
Some things I'd like to see (that are only partly satisfied by mods at present):
- stream-based area loading so you can have seamless transitions
- area builds that allow overlapping walkmeshes
- an option for a ToEE-like turn-based combat capability
- better control over what gets displayed (or hidden) on the map
- flowing water (like in Skyrim)
- true FPS viewpoint option
The module "The Wizard's Apprentice 2" has flying (though I'm not sure if it has any practical use there), swimming and slope sliding. The PW "Dasaria 2" has mounts. They do exist but have they been implemented into any module or any PW yet? Fortunately or not, no.

Pretty sure he's a troll.

Don't stoop to his level. He and his mate Tchos already derailed and got one thread locked, no need for it to happen to another.
Kamal is a troll? I think not - he's a valued member of the NWN2 community, and a long-time contributor of advice and custom content. He's highly respected here.
Troll-like behaviour has only been appearing on these NWN2 forums very recently, so personally I'd be pointing the finger at people who have only just begun posting here.

All people should be treated equal and no matter the custom content he provided. And not all newbies are trolls.
I guess the friend above was "kidding" about something like "how he's so pessimist" btw I leave troll discussion is not necessary
