What is this SP you speak of?
Will you jump right in to multiplayer?

I will indeed, and probably after an hour of dicking around in the intro area for single player.

I won't be trying MP until after I finish SP at least once.

Really looking forward to the MP. If only they'd release the DAMP demo a month out like they did with the ME3 MP.

I'm just frothing to get at the Keep right now. *froth* I'm kind of a newbie to Dragon Age, but when I saw it for free, I figured what the hell? Ended up buying 2 and now looking much forward to 3. I'll probably be hopping back and forth between SP and MP for the first week.

I plan to play most of, if not all of SP first. However, I don't want to miss out on Weekend Challenges like I did with ME3MP. Since I'm moving town pretty much around the same time it's released in Australia and my ISP was a PITA last time we moved, I'll be behind the eight ball to start with. It looks like heaps of fun though, and if it has even a quarter of the replay value of ME3MP I'll be happy.

SP for one playthrough except for weekend challenges. I regret missing out on many of ME3's.

I bought ME3 because i loved the franchise and ended up playing over 50 hours of the multiplayer before i ever bothered playing the single player, which even then it was just a "damn, i really should play the campaign, just to get it done with" kinda thing.
I'm buying DA:I purely for the multiplayer (it seems very similar to the ME3 MP) as i'm not really a big fan of the DA franchise.
I can't remember the last game i bought purely for multiplayer...

If The Keep have problems at launch I'll go with MP otherwise SP

I'll play through the SP before touching MP. MP will probably just be something I fiddle around with in between my different SP play throughs.

Nope, not until I at least put a few hours into the SP. Honestly, the only time I might check it out is when I'm bored. I simply don't buy games like this thinking multiplayer, but if it's there.... eh eventually.

The first thing I will do is play the Single Player until there is a good save point like the end of the Origin story or when the Hawkes made it past the Ogre. Then I am going to check out the multiplayer. I kind of want to get reaquainted with the controls and DA world again before I play the MP.

I didn't manage every challenge weekend, but I do have every MEMP banner.
(just 95 UR unlocks to go)
So in DAMP I could see SP during the week but making sure to DAMP at the weekend.

SP only won't be touching MP ever it totally put me off the Mass Effect series entirely after the debacle of ME3 and its poor implementation, was against it in Dragon Age when it was a "hypothetical proposal" and everything I have heard since then including being able to purchase a "premium currency" with real money has made me less and less interested in it.As much as I like having a blast on GTA Online on my cousins 360 now and then this DAMP or whatever they are calling it seems more and more like some tacked on afterthought so EA can get Micro Transactions in yet another game.

It's not them being greedy (it'd be greedy if they made you pay for all the MP DLC like other games would). But ok, I can see how you wouldn't like it if it were an after thought. (Just curious, did you play ME3 MP? You really didn't enjoy anything about it?)

I won't go directly to mp... Moreover I hope that they will not make as they did for me 3 where mp unlocked some different ends for multiple reasons :
- playing mp has to be the choice of the player
- this is not a game designed for mp I think
- in a few monthes, there will be nobody in mp exactly like for me 3
- I'll wait to finish my first playthrough to go mp and I hope there will be different difficulties for mp.

Two things. First, they already said that MP will have no effect on SP. Second, ME3 MP is still going fine, I still almost never run into repeat players.

Play the tutorial so I'm not your average ignoramus and then immediately jump into the multiplayer for the day 1 bonuses if there are any.

Yeah, I don't know what that person was saying but ME3 was incredibly popular for almost a full year. The last dlc that was released was in February, almost a full year since the release of the game. Even still, it did fairly well for months after that.

If Bioware hadn't stopped the weekend challenges after a year, the game would still be very popular today. Even now, finding a game isn't that bad either. Finding a good PUG in the other hand...

I think I'll become minimumly familiar with the mechanics in SP, then jump on MP. I wanna Tank, so much! It's like playing an MMO, but with the highlights only... no grinding silliness while you're not in dungeons. Dungeon-only-MP FTW!
And playing as a rare role, such as Tank kinda makes you hot. You can easily find parties. ![]()

Pre-me3, I would have answered "maybe I'll get into the multiplayer eventually".
However, I ended up in the me3 multiplayer beta, early. It was so, so good, that
sure, I finished the single player campaign, eventually. But the me3 multiplayer
was one of the best, informal pug environments around.
The borderlands multiplayers are nice, but the loot scheme really does not work
with informal pugging. Diablo3 does better on the loot scheme compared to
borderlands, but its just not as fun (great look to it though, and solo play is
fine but again, solo gets worse loot chance in diablo3).
The various "competitive" multiplayers (pvp included), have characters with
skills that are watered down in the interest of balance. In addition to fostering
caustic gamer communities that are not very fun to be involved with.
ME3s multiplayer was (and still is) a real winner. Grouping with friends, or pugging,
or a mixture of both was very rewarding. The time investment was small. Generally,
15-25 minutes (maybe 20-30 very early on) for a game, pug or not.
You could pay extra to increase your chances of getting new characters or items.
But the funny thing is, you could be extremely effective with very common items
(one of my favorites was a pure melee krogan vanguard, with an incendiary or
shock disciple!).
