First and foremost, I think it's necessary to debunk this "myth" that the PS4 is superior to the Xbox One. There are minute differences between the consoles, of which are virtually identical, and neither one can run a game at 60fps with native 1080p support. How many times has Sony stated various games will have 1080p support and then they are either caught in a lie or their advertising changes without warning? Watch_Dogs and Killzone multiplayer are two recent examples of games (1st and 3rd party) that Sony touted had native 1080p support to differentiate themselves from Microsoft, which ended up being false.

I really don't want to get bogged down into a console war, however. I am a PC gamer, of which is the superior platform for obvious reasons, and consoles will never compare to the specs or the hardware a PC can support. PS4 and Xbox One gamers will be lucky if they can get 1080p with 30fps. That being said, even if BioWare had (and likely will) scale it down resolution-wise for both consoles, there isn't a major difference between 900p and 1080p. The naked eye wouldn't even have the capacity to differentiate between the two in most cases. The game is going to look beautiful regardless of the resolution likely being cranked down.

It clearly will not compare to a high-end gaming PC with all the settings on ultra. But then again, why would a $400 stripped-down PC compare to a $1000+ gaming PC anyways? This shouldn't even be an argument.

Exactly, last time I chrcked, only 30% of steam users have a 1080p monitor or higher. And the most common graphics cards was an integrated laptop card. PS4 owners will be enjoying the game at a higher standard than most PC peasants.

You are mistaking PC gamers with just individuals who own a PC. If you differentiate the two, most PC gamers easily have a rig that his superior to either console. One could purchase a PC for the same price as the PS4 or Xbox One and get better hardware with little trouble.

This is of course a pointless debate.

The overall progression of graphical improvement negates this type of quibbling.

A few pixels here and there is nothing in the scheme of things.

Here are some of the HD graphics from probably the first PC game I remember playing: Kings Quest V, (1990)

At the time, Computer Gaming World (1991) praised the "tour de force" VGA graphics

which were wowing people with how ground-breaking and next-gen they were.

DAI will be wonderful whatever the final resolution is.

And for those you interested in the next-gen tech-fest that is King's Quest V, here is a review:

Definitely blew away the graphics on my Apple 2c, where I was playing with shades of green IF the game had graphics (see Planetfall)
