Um, where's my archer spec?  That's what I've been the most curious about and the descriptions on the wiki aren't really clear.  Is there some sort of spec set up for archery, or is a dual-wielding rogue my only choice?  :(

im thinking any specialization works for whatever weapon that class can use. Therefore you can be a archer assassin, or tempest, or artificer, the skills within will work with whatever weapon you choose to specialize in.

The Tempest skills? We saw these equipped to Sera

Also, it could be that the Tempest skills add elemental abilities to your bow shots, while for dual wielding it gives you an aura that surrounds you and damages enemies when you attack.

I just want to know which mage specialisation has the most support magic. I like buffing my big guys so they can go in the thick of things, also buffing ranged attackers is the best :) more DEEPS.

I don't think any of them are about that.

Buffing comes from Spirit and Creation, I think.

I think that Rift is all about staggering and dealing damage.

I think Knight Enchanter is about melee combat and buffing yourself.

I think that Necromancer is about debuffs and damage.

Perhaps going for Creation and Spirit in combination with Knight Enchanter is the best route.

Tanking is in an of itself a support role. So you're soaking up a lot of damage whilst healing, buffing and trapping your foes.

You'll aggro quite a bit but your Knight Enchanter spells will help you out.

Or you could use the Knight Enchanter abilities just to keep you resilient whilst still keeping your distance.

No matter how good you are, enemies will still go for the mage (especially if the AI is smart).

Thank you, I missed that.  Tempest it is!

Knight enchanter would be the buff class if any of them were it has enchanter in its name meaning there are some buffs.

My guess is Knight Enchanter since it's all about protection and magic weapons is my guess.
