I don't think that Warden on a Griffon is Blackwall's card.
This is Blackwall's card:

The Warden card closely matches the Knight of Swords card.

I believe that the one shown is the newest version. I think the other one is an older version.

That would make sense, but the variation between the cards is very large, which is why I am skeptical.
@A Clever Name, Dorian's card is really puzzling, isn't it! One hand is positioned like the Hierophant, he holds a book(scroll) like the High Priestess, and he's got the classic Magician infinity marker and what looks like elements around him.
If I had to guess, I'd say Magician, but what an interesting design. Who did these designs? I want to hear all the little details about how everyone was decided and put together!

True, though I think the newer one looks much more Warden-y than the other.
Leilana is the secret arm of the Divine. High Priestess is hidden spiritual mysteries. High Priestess is the internal spiritual world vs the Hierophant's instutitions, and Leilana is the one who believes the Maker talks directly to her....I think you can make an argument.
Oh, no question, I just tend to think of the High Priestess with particular personality traits (possibly wrong) that just don't fit her in my head (again, very likely wrong). Vivienne seems like a better candidate to me, honestly, but we have no reason to think of her as particularly spiritual either.
Could Sera, the wildcard, be the Wheel of Fortune?

Oh yeah, definitely, I see what you're saying. I see the HP as much more....uh...mystical and mysterious and less stabby-stabby secrets in the dark. But I think Leilana does have those qualities, esp in DA:O..so...I could see it working.
Viv is a harder sell for me, I guess. She seems so...external. Of course we don't know her well! So who knows, haha.

It does, which is why I'm thinking it's the Grey Wardens card. But we can't really know for sure now. Hopefully the physical tarot cards have something on them that specifically labels them as a certain card.
...Or Bioware releases a list. Who knows!
Could Cullen be Temperance? He does seem like a candidate because of everything he's been through, and there's even red and white in the card...

I think The Magician is a fair guess as well for Dorian, considering its traditional interpretation. His card is really throwing me for a loop - that leminscate came out of left field! I think a lot of the cards evoke themes of others, which is why it's so difficult to decide on just one for each. I'm the most confused by Varric's, I think. Anything I can come up with seems like such a stretch!
I would love to figure out the artist(s) of these cards! They're absolutely beautiful, and I want to hear why they chose the cards they did for each companion, and how difficult it was to decide on the aesthetics, and...ooh, so many questions!

Spoiler
The Warden card closely matches the Knight of Swords card.
Spoiler
The Warden is a bonus companion! Semi-confirmed rumor.
I"m guessing Varric's is the Wheel of Fortune, because it's one of the only cards that is of an object, and his card is mostly Bianca....also it's round...okay it's flimsy, but....as well as how the Wheel turns and fortunes rise and fall...and Varric is definitely going to be a lower place than he was in DA2 when he was basically controlling Kirkwall and hanging with his buddies.
edit: Tishina, I think Temperance would make a cool card for Cullen, but I don't really see it in his card. I can't parse the background of it very well though. Maybe when we see it more in detail, we'll have a better idea.

Hmmm, possibly. Someone suggested he could be the lovers because Bianca features so prominently.
So, could Josephine be Strength? (I'm having fun reading descriptions and trying to see possibilities in the companions and advisors).
I would love for Josie to be Strength. She seems like she fits it so well!
I'd say Leliana best fits the Sun with visual cues. Horse and rider at the bottom, the rays of the sun itself, and her red hood being the scarf.

I meant the Wardens as a whole organisation, not our Warden-Commander/Hero of Ferelden, haha. ![]()

I was wondering about that. And the Raven on her shoulder is suggestive too.

I agree with this, which is another super interesting design choice because...I really have a hard time seeing her as the Sun except for maaaybe in DA:O, and she's so much darker now, and the card is darker than a sun card would be normally e. So I don't know if she is the Sun or if she's a different card with Sun influences (like how Dorian has multiple cards referenced on his), but either way...it's fascinating. It really seems like a lot of thought went into these.

I can't think of anyone else who's been revealed who fits better. Especially since one of the comments about her is that there is strength inside her velvet glove.

theres already a thread on this. and they had some good interpretations in it too.
Where is the other thread? I can't find it.
Vivienne's staff turns into a snake.
