Much like in the Mass Effect games, I'd love to be able to cycle optional appearances for our DAI companions.

You'll probably be happy to note that we'll indeed get the chance to do that.  There is some alternate looks you can choose for your different companion.  They are keeping what those are under tight wraps at the moment, but I know it'll happen.  I don't think you can really change armor, but I know we'll have some different looks.

Oh and a like for your user name.  ;)

Thank you! One of my favorite stage plays. :)

And I had no idea we will get to change appearances! That is amazing!

Are you talking armor? Because we can customize their gear as much as we can our own. It'd just look different on them to keep with their "style." Or are you talking about their physical appearances, like in SWTOR?

As far as I'm aware, you'll be able to make them armor in variations of their own style.  From what I can tell, the results would be similar to ME2-3.  For instance, one of the first things I did with Jack after her loyalty mission was put on her leather top.   It's still her look, just a different version of it.   ;)

You will absolutely be able to change companions' armor. This has even been illustrated in the gameplay demos.

In addition to cycling through companion appearances, I'd like to be able update/correct the Inquisitor like you could update/correct Hawke in DA2.  While I don't think has a ten year or so stretch for aging purposes, there are times that you don't know how well you designed a face until you see it in action under proper lighting.

This isn't going to be cycling through set looks a la ME2/ME3 Alternate Appearance Packs. You can switch out actual lootable armor like in DAO, except the armor will look different on different companions, so that they keep their iconic look.

We did indeed see examples of this in the demos.
