LadyKarrakaz saved my DAO game with this information so it truly is worth it!
Nevertheless I personnally prefer the disc. Well, I know downloading seems very practical, easy and all that but in the old days having
bought the CD meant you truly owned the game (oh God, I begin talking like a granny!!!).
It's the same with books: do you frefer your cold kindle or having a real book in your hands? It's really something else.
What is the most frustrating with Steam&co. is that you can't share the games you bought.
I mean, three gamers in a community (friends, family) have to buy each their own copy.
This is unfair and another mean of stealing money from our pockets. And when it comes to adds on, it adds money on and on.
Furthermore, I don't like it too much being forced to play online, I find it like an intrusion into my private space.
See, it means people know when, how long, with what you are playing. freaky, isn't it?
Playing is opening a door into a very sensitive and emotional corner of one's mind.
Each player is unique and will perceive this fact as a threat or not.
That being said, I love buying games on Gamersgate--I want to say playing to the games I download on...--
preferably if they aren't on such platforms, I avoid them the best I can. My library is full if it can ever be
...
My last aquisition is The Witcher (yeah, the old one so what
? it was on sale and it is the extented edition).
Conclusion : I too am a CD girl, but like my downloading as long as it isn't an intrusion.
