I prefer the discs. Have had computer issues that have messed up the downloaded copies, but the discs always work.
Disc or Download.....opinions please!

The biggest advantage of digital downloads, under most systems, is that you only have to purchase it once, and then you can download it as many times as you want, on as many machines as you want.
The main advantage of the disc is that you don't need bandwidth (a consideration for some) or even an internet connection. It's also transferable, something that digital downloads are not.
As far as downloading DLC goes, I have occasionally had DLC that was corrupted, either at the time of download, or afterwards, but it's rare. And when it has happened, it is a simple matter to re-download it, which has always solved the problem, so far. That works the same for games on disc, too, which I've often downloaded the DLC for (in fact, I can only remember ever buying DLC on a disc with Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition. All the rest were downloaded digitally after I purchased the original game disc.)

Some of us do not have the luxury of a choice. I connect to the internet via a mifi which means I have a monthly data limit. So even if I wanted to download several gig just to get a single game, I can't. It's a good job that I prefer disks then.
Which is why I despise steam with a passion. A game disk is supposed to contain a working copy of the game, not have 80% that has to be downloaded to fix it.

Downloading a game doesn't take me all that long to do.

Just buy the disc and register the serial number on Origin. That way, you'll have both.
