Anyone know someting about controls? I mean, if the controls of the PC version will be like the previous games. Because the combat of DA2 was pretty good, but on pc I think that felt a little less amazing than consoles. The feeling of press the button to attack was better than click and wait.

And of course, auto aim. That monster is dead? Continue to press this little damn button and you're okay :)

If you don't like the PC controls but want to play on PC, then you can play with a controller since they're supported this time around.

I'm PC player and usually use mouse and keys, but I am certainly going to try this with a controller. This isn't a shooter; I've come to appreciate the more delicate control possible with a controller in 3rd person games. The limit on 8 active abilities was probably done with this in mind to be honest, and the tactical camera which used to really require a mouse has been clearly reworked around the controller.

As long as I'm not gimping myself by limiting my hot keys I think controller is the way to go on this, and I'm pcmasterrace4life

I've played both DA:O and DA II on PC and console and I've got to say, I prefer console.

The games play better to me with a gamepad. I don't know why.

Totally disagree with this, specially for DA:O.

But good news OP: You get to choose gamepad or mouse and keyboard on PC.

Sticking with Mouse + Key.

If this was like a batman game or a 3rd person action game, then yes, a controller...but it is a tactical rpg game...

Think of playing WoW with a controller...yuck!

I'm planning to use my gaming mouse for this game given limited hot buttons, makes things easy just gives you a thumb work out.

But if your use to pads you can use a controller on pc with the right software must pc games now a-days are controll supported. So its a matter of your budget and what you really perfer in the long run.

I'm still tink that I will prefeer the controller too. But if the mouse+keyboard play as and Batman game for example (with the proper modifications to the game, of course) will be amazing.

Thats why I opened this threat actually. Anyone saw some PC gameplay with mouse+keyboard and can tell me how it works?

And I will use this same topic to question one more think about the controller users out there: XONE or X360 controller? They have any difference in the game?

All we've got of KB/M gameplay is one screen shot.

Is it a good time to bring up the 8 hotbar slots thing for PC again? ;)

You can use a 360 (and probably xbone) controller on the PC version. Should have been in the mass effect games, but I digress.

Or...they could create a good interface for both. I know you console guys luv your PC hate, but parity is possible.

Uh, not a console guy. I play on PC and like the PC interface. I was just stating the facts about the interface being switchable and the game being playable with a controller :)

Never played DA with a controller, but it looks like they've mapped it well. Everytime Bioware has shows off the game it's with a controller. I just prefer controller's in general because they're more comfortable, I don't like sitting up at a desk.

Stop PC Master Racing your way around the forum. One of the platform's strengths is freedom of choice. The choice of hardware and control schemes and devices is entirely in the hands of the user.

I'm looking forward to play DA:I on pc with a controller.

I only use keyboard and mouse for RTS games.

I think it is a matter of player choice and what they prefer.  I have played DAO on both the PC and Xbox 360 and I have to admit, I personally find it easier to play with a controller, but that is because that is what I have become used to over the years.  My K&M skills are a bit rusty, but I am trying to improve (playing DAO on the PC helps).

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use a controller for DA2 (because the controller worked so well in the Xbox version) but I will still play it.

Well Prime example we lost our 14 slot action bar because of controller support you can't map 14 actions to a controller

Last controller I used was an Atari 2600 joystick.    No thanks here.    I can't really comprehend how you play a pause and play tactical with a controller myself.    I will take point-and-click to move my characters any day myself rather than having to walk that little reticle around everywhere I want to go.

I was disappointed Bioware didn't give ME3 controller support either. Looks like they've finally caught on though.

Jade Empire had enough hotkeys on k+m AND had full Xbox pad support on PC. Do not try to pin the design choice on the controller type.

I'm certainly going to try both types of controls. Some games are better with pad (like Bioshock Infinite, Jade Empire or RememberMe), some are better with KM. PC allows to use each(or even both combined).
